The staff is very friendly and helpful, the always available snack and beverage bar is great and handy, breakfast is simple but sufficient, rooms are basic and maybe not the most fabulous but they get the job done, location is very convenient and near the train station and city center.
We were staying in Florence for only 2 days/nights and were looking for a hotel near the train station. The location of this hotel was perfect. Easy walk to and from the station, even with our luggage, and short walk to the sights in the city. We were greeted so nicely at the desk and given helpful advice as to where to go and what to see. The room was a little cramped for 4 but was fine for just a couple of nights. The included breakfast was just what we needed to get quickly fed and out the door in the morning. Charming little hotel, perfect for a short stay.
Pros: Went for a 2star stay, after seeing the 4+ customer rating in Tripadvisor. What was in store at Fiorita was an amazing hospitality that challenges a 3/4star Hotel service. We were given a huge room (free executive upgrade) with wonderful internal ambience (akin to a mini royal palace suit). Although we arrived at the hotel by 9pm, we were welcomed by the receptionist with a coffee and a city map. I was not shaken by an ancient lift that takes you to third floor, rather I enjoyed this experience which I had seen only in Bond movies. The breakfast was very good, special mention to the machine made pancake. The reception was doing a great service, and helping in all ways they can to make the stay memorable. Housekeeping was done on time, with neatness. Room heater was adequate. Wifi was real speed. Bathroom was spacious and suits European and Asian cleaning culture. And the most important of all, this place is just within 100meters of the Santa Maria Novelle (SMN) train station (train connections to all Italy, FCO airport etc). The SMN is the starting point of city sightseeing hop off/hop in tours. There are many affordable restaurants within the 400meters, which suits all nationalities. So overall the Florita Florence scores full marks in every aspects of customer rating. Cons: Nil Advice: Don’t waste your money going for 3/4star in Florence if u can compromise on pools/bars and other luxuries. This place will never let your expectation down and become one of the happy guests of Fiorita & Florence.
Don't be put off by the ancient lift, which will be your first impression of the hotel. The staff at Fiorita are very kind and courteous. Although we arrived hours before check-in, they allowed us to keep our bags safely and go out into the city. The kind gentleman at the reception gave us a quick overview of the hotel facilities, allowed us to use the breakfast room to have some cappuccino after our long journey from Venice, as well as showed us to the washroom where we could freshen up (since our room was not ready yet). He was gave us a map, point out where the hotel was located and point out the main attractions, without us even asking. Further he was quick to suggest that we take two of the hotel umbrellas as the weather report had forecasted rain. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, with bread/buns, pancakes, cereal, muffins, ham & cheese, fruits and some sweet items. The coffee machine is functional 24 hours which means you could get a cappuccino, hot chocolate, etc even after a tiring day of walking. We got a nice large room which was unexpected, as we had just come from Venice after staying in a very tiny room. This room was nice and spacious, it had an old but cozy feel to it. Bathroom was quite small in comparison to the room though. Hotel was just around the corner from the train station in a quiet street - not at all difficult to locate. Its also about a 10 min walk away from the main attractions of Florence. All in all we were quite pleased with our experience and would recommend it to anyone!
The hotel is good for a short stay. Clean beds and hot water in the toilet. Room had heater as well as air conditioning. Breakfast is self serviced, it had coffee, orange juice all from the machine. Simple cheese and ham, some pastries. And it is opened 24hours. Good for travellers not fussy on the amenitiea and need a warm and clean place in Flotence.
This hotel is literally an excellent location if that's a big requirement on your checklist. 3min walk from the train station, totally walk-able to the Doumo, street vendors, foods, shopping, pastries, etc. room was clean, felt safe in regards to theft, fount desk service was good, fruit and beverages were always available. the cons: bathroom was tiny, bed was hard as a rock (and i sleep on a firm mattress at home), elevator was ancient and tiny to get luggage through and too many unnecessary doors to come in and out of.
Pros, Great location. Medium size room. Helpful staff. Reliable lift. Loads of storage. 3 power outlets in the room. Decent tv Comfortable bed. Fridge. Good view from balcony. Adequate breakfast, loads of fruit and tea and coffee. Powerful shower. Nice towels replaced every other day. Good housekeeper. Good price. Excellent wifi, steamed Netflix with no issues. Room is very dark at night with doors and thick curtains. Cons, the bathroom looks like a retrofit to the room, and fixtures and fitting were all a bit loose, shower was not flush with the wall. The shower curtain was not good enough to stop the powerful shower dousing the floor. A good 10% of the tiles in the room floor were broken. The top sheet on the bed did smell a bit funny. Lots of junk in the hall way like there was a broken fridge one day then a broken coffee machine the next and a then a upturned bedstead. Random chairs in the hallways, fell quite odd to have someone sitting outside your room when you came in or left. The breakfast was mostly cakes and the only cooked items were boiled eggs. All plates and cutlery were plastic disposable. Walls were quite thin, we could hear the neighbours laughing and when they were showering. My personal opinion of this place is that it offers good value for money, if you are traveling on a budget but don’t want to use bed and breakfast, then this is a very good option, the location was excellent as we used the Firenze. S. M station which is only round the corner less then 5mins walk, to go on day trips to Venice, Pisa and Siena. The bus station at the back of the station also has airport bus. Its only a 10min walk from the Duomo, the accademia , and 15mins from the uffizi, and Ponte Vecchio. The staff are quite helpful and saw to our needs quickly, all spoke excellent English. There are some good cheap supermarkets close by for bits and bobs you might have forgotten and 5mins from the big leather market. I wouldn’t say people should their honeymoon here but if you are interested on seeing Florence and just want a safe place to sleep and keep your luggage, then i would recommend it.
., Wonderful romantic accomodation An.all-day open buffet ofsweet and savoury staff,in addition to fresh juice and hot drinks, eggs and cheese Professional staff, helpful in every way possible. Strongly recommend
It's close to the train station and offers proximity to the main attractions. It's nothing fancy...just a bed and a quick breakfast. The staff is friendly and was accommodating when we asked to leave our bags after checkout. One downside is the wifi didn't work while we were there however I saw someone fixing it when we came back for our bags.
Could not have asked for more given the bargain price. Yes. it's tucked away on the third floor of a multi-use building with an antiquated lift, but the location is ideal, adjacent to the main train station and close to the major attractions of this beautiful city. I was allowed to check-in early, no problem as the room was available. Inside everything is fairly basic but clean, modern and functional. Decent air conditioning, which is very important here during hot summer months, TV, internet and even phone calls included (within reason). I was not looking for (or expecting) luxury, just a place to park my bags and get some sleep in reasonable comfort, and that's exactly what I got. There is even a pretty decent self service (and take back to your room if you wish) breakfast included. As I said, could not have asked for more.
