Great Hotel, Location, and Excellent service

Great hotel in the middle of florence! Our stay at this hotel was wonderful, thanks to Alessandro, the manager, who was super friendly, helpful, and caring. Would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to our friends & family. Alessandro made our trip extra special since the airport lost my luggage and he was more helpful than the airport. Great hotel, perfect location, and wonderful customer service. :)

The neighborhood was somewhat away from the city center and therefore not so busy but you had to take a easy bus ride into downtown.

Welcoming hosts who went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. The room was clean and comfortably furnished and there is a very pleasant courtyard at the back - most welcoming after 'foot slogging' aroun Florence. A number of reviews comment on the distance to the main sights of Florence. We certainly found that the centre is really only a short walk away. we walked into and criss crossed the city even went up to the highpoint of Michelangelo Piazza and back to Cimarosa Harmony all on foot (and we are in our 70's) so do not be put off by comments from people who possibly are used to getting the car out to travel 200 metres. We would happily recommend Cimarosa Harmony to our friends and family.Thank you for looking after us

Clean, but services are bad

The room is clean and the location is close to bus #22 and #23 in Firenze. When we visited the area, the temperature is still chilly (for us). They did not provide heating for guests, which I mentioned to the managers. But they simply replied the heater was not working at all. I felt that they just took excuses, which is the main reason for their poor rating.

Absolute excellent service

Do not be fooled by the entrance to this beautiful little boutique hotel. 5 lovely delightful well kept rooms located around a lovely court yard. The owners spoke excellent English and their attention personal service was second to none. They gave us a map and explained the bus routes so we felt totally at ease traveling around. Location was excellent close to transport and small shopping area with a great restaurant just 2mins walk away. Even got a great hair cut from local hair salon [2 to choose from] I would recommend this hotel to anyone it was enchanting.:-)

Absolutely amazing and really lovely staff

We had such a lovely time at this hotel. The staff are absolutely incredible - they helped us a lot and responded to every request. I would stay in this hotel anytime, and would definitely recommend it to all!

Nice stay, hospitable staff

We had a pleasant experience staying at this hotel. Alessandro was very helpful and hospitable. He even met us outside the hotel when we first arrived from the train station and responded to questions promptly, at personal contact at the hotel and by text messages when he was not on duty.

Mother/Daughter Italian Adventure

This was an older mother daughter 2 week adventure through Europe. We stayed three days at the CimaRosa. It was way more than we expected for the reasonable price. The room was spacious. It had a refrigerator and a little table 4 meals it was extremely clean and very comfortable with all the amenities one needs while away from home. The decor was beautiful and Charming. The neighborhood was very safe and centrally located to everything while not being in the middle of downtown. Transportation to and from was extremely easy. It had a Charming patio to relax in and have coffee xcetera. The proprietor was extremely friendly and very helpful. She mapped out every site in Florence and how to get there so we did not need to pay a guide. With her instruction we were able to see everything at our leisure. I would definitely stay there again especially on an extended visit because of all the comforts and ambiance. It was like a home away from home in the middle of the vacation. Loved this hotel.

DON'T DO IT

I would never recommend this accommodation to anyone. We had a confirmation but apparently that means nothing as when we arrived no one was there to let us in - I have never been to a Bed and Breakfast where there was no one available to greet us. There is a message that asks us to call to confirm - we assumed that as we had a confirmation and we were in a foreign country without a telephone - when you have a confirmation that is the confirmation - this process is ridiculous . Fortunaltely for us we found a couple on the street who called the number on the door and we left a message - as there was no answer. As we were dragging our luggage to another hotel the reception called the strangers number back and they got us before we registered in another hotel. We were very upset and related that to the reception - he was an "arrogant idiot" and wanted us to confirm that he was right and this i would not do - he finally showed us our room - NEVER, NEVER AGAIN. And I would advise people not to go to this type of establishment if this is their process - who in their right mind would call and overseas # and pay roaming charges when you have already paid and have a confirmation. RIDICULOUS PROCESS

A very serene place to stay

A nice place to stay with reasonable price, I like the small "kitchen" with coffee vender machine and some utensils for use. Both Alex and Julia are very nice and helpful in providing tourist information and maps. Definitely would want another stay if get a chance to go back Florence.

harmony in Florance

Stayed here. Very convenient to main train and bus stations. it is also very close to main attractions. Our hosts were extremely helpful with maps and info on where to eat etc and their recommendation for dinner was superb. looking forward to returning for a longer stay.

Good service and pleasant stay

The reception manager was very kind and nice. The hotel was about 10 minutes away from the center of the city and I needed good advice about transportation. The manager gave me all the details of bus routes and a daily bus pass for family, which costed me only 6 Euro. She also gave me other tips for city tour. My family were quite happy to have such good services. The hotel room was quite spacious and the bathroom was clean. The room was located on the ground floor, so it was a bit noisy when cars passed by, but traffic is almost none after 11:30pm. The building is under some renovation and we had to close the curtain. This problem will be gone when the renovation is over. Overall, we enjoyed the stay very much.

Great front desk staff, nice location

The front desk staff was really great, helped us find a nearby area for supplies and walked out to show us areas. Gave us a map and marked it with bus stops, metro, how to get to/from railway. Their English was great and I felt very safe there.
