We stayed here for 1 night before heading to The Sun Coast. Having spent years in the travel industry I have always been a bit wary of Nadi properties but I would definitely recommend this as a fantastic value for money alternative to Denerau for pre and post island accommodation. The rooms are clean and tidy, the pool isn't flash but is again, clean and well kept. The breakfast was a lot better than I was expecting and of course in true Fiji fashion, the staff are fantastic! It's also a lot quieter than Denerau and chances are you'll have the pool to yourselves. I would certainly use this property again for my pre and post accommodation.
Had the displeasure of staying here 1 night due to our flight being cancelled and the airline putting us here. I'm a travel agent and this would be the worse place I have ever stayed. The room and bathroom was absolutely filthy. Hair, skin, dead insects littered the bathroom floor, the shower was filthy with ingrained black mould everywhere . The shower plug was a chipped out hole in the tiles. I complained to management and was given a key to another room. But when I looked , that room was just as disgusting. The food was average with a buffet breakfast costing FJD32 per person . My son pointed out the pile of plates to use were dirty, flies all over the honey bottle. And birds landing all over the egg station (which was outside) every time the cook left to deliver eggs to a table. The gardens outside were littered with rubbish , even a toothbrush spotted in one. If you're considering staying a night at an airport hotel do not come here!
We were staying there to catch the boat early the next morning. It is nothing like a "normal" Novotel. We liked the idea of the shuttle from the airport, but were waiting for it for almost an hour, although it was "on its way" when we called. The room is run down (bathroom, torn mosquito net)but clean. You can hear every move from the room next door. The staff is friendly but we will still not return.
The location is minutes from the airport so perfect for transit. Very quiet and comfortable rooms. The service was excellent and the staff were outstanding in making our trip smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended.
We flew into Nadi on FJ910, arriving at 6.55pm so by the time we arrived at the Novotel it was around 8.30pm. We were greeted at reception by two extremely charming Fijian ladies with bottles of iced water for the 6 of us. After a quick uncomplicated check in we were shown to our rooms. The rooms were roomy and very comfortable, although dated, remembering this property has been an icon of Nadi's hospitality scene for many years as the Mocambo Resort. We only had the one night here but would return with not a worry next time we visit the Fijian Islands,M the staff were beautiful and obliging, the rooms were extremely comfortable, we ate at the restaurant for evening meal and brekkie, and food was very acceptable. So yes, we'll certainly return to the NOVOTEL NADI, unlike our stay at another nearby hotel of a reputable name on our way home which was memorable for all the wrong reasons - Tanoa is all I'll say. Thank you to all at the NOVOTEL NADI.
This hotel never fails in taking care of us. We landed in the early hours of the morning and was hoping to check in early following an all night flight. We advised ahead and acknowledged that this was on a best endeavour basis, which is totally understandable. We were pleased to learn when we landed that Elenoa Kepa in Reservations went out of her way to make this happen for us - for that, we remain forever grateful because we could rest before a busy day. It was really nice to see that the buffet breakfast had a touch of Fijian cuisine - a nice variety to what we normally see. And of course, they make a great cup of coffee 👍 Overall, service and friendliness was excellent.
We stayed nine nights at the Novotel, Nadi. Positives: - The staff were really friendly - The pool area was often pretty quiet which meant we got it to ourselves most of the time - It's close to the airport - Good value for money Negatives: - Our room was tired and needed a freshen up. It wasn't my version of clean. We found a receipt from another guest under the bed. - The bathroom needed a lot of work. The tiles were covered in mold and cracked in places. They looked like they had had many quick repairs and made the whole bathroom quite dingy and gross. - On arrival there was a pubic hair in the bath - The shower randomly went from very hot to very cold - Barely any TV channels - Not much room to store bags - It's advertised as a non smoking hotel, however, people smoked pretty much anywhere and this was not checked by staff even when asked. In particular, people smoked around the pool area and didn't care if children were there. Our balcony garden was full of cigarette stubs. - The restaurant was no where near the standard you would expect from a four star, accor credited place. - While this hotel is close to the airport, it is quite far away from anything else. So, unless you were happy to take the bus, getting around was pretty expensive. - I wouldn't call it a 'family friendly' hotel (although the staff were lovely) as there were no activities planned, no cot offered and there was nowhere to change our toddler's nappy unless we went back to our room. Overall, a disappointing stay. Would've left sooner but we had prepaid months in advance.
We stayed at the Novotel due to it being close to the airport and we were returning to Australia on an early flight the next morning. Staff were very obliging. Meals were good. Wifi was terrible. We would not consider it a holiday destination with so many upmarket hotels along the coast within a 30 minute drive.
Novotel Nandi is good if you want to get away and completely relax. The meals at this hotel along with the rooms need to be brought up[ to the standard expected from the Novotel Brand. One of the positives of staying here is the buses are always nearby as are the taxis but a hire car while being expensive gives flexibility. While the Hotel has a no smoking policy this however is ignored which is not acceptable especially around the pool where there are young children. The staff are very friendly which is a big positive when travelling away from home.
We have stayed here 3 times now. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are very clean and value for money. The restaurant is very good. Conveniently located near the airport. I would stay here again & maybe for longer next time.
