Springhill Suites by Marriott Fairbanks

Large room - looked like it was recently remodeled. Quiet and spacious, with separate living/kitchenette area and ceiling fan. By far the nicest room we stayed in during our recent trip. Lots of cruise passengers checking in and out, creating some congestion of people and luggage in the lobby and at the elevators, but that was not uncommon during our stay.

Rooms had a lot of space and are kept clean. Had to find my own cart, unload my own car and take up my own luggage while by myself with 4 kids. Not sure if they're short on help or that's not part of their job. Wasn't thrilled with that part.

Room was very relaxing. Bed was so comfortable. It allowed us to catch up on some much needed sleep. Very quiet location. Always had what we needed. Staff was very courteous. Would recommend it to friends and family.. Alaska is so beautiful in the summer!!

staff is nice, room is big and clean. the breakfast is good. location is not far from the airport

stay there for one night, near the FAI airport. Room is clean, staff is nice, breakfast is good.

The good point is they are right beside the downtown. But when you something at night, the front desk staff will hold you online for the long time. Cant believe only one man on duty at night, for such a big hotel with so many guests.

A little snafu at the train depot trying to get to the hotel but the return the next day went very smoothly and hassle free. Staff helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We just stayed overnight on our way to Chena Hot Springs Resort. It was excellent and the breakfast was good, too. The only problem was that we were not told we needed to make a reservation for dinner, and therefore we waited over an hour to get into the restaurant.

Very helpful and friendly staff -- gracious and witty. Comfortable room with microwave, fridge, and both WiFi and high-speed wired Internet. Free shuttle to take us anywhere we wanted to go (staff made great suggestions); when driver was out one day, hotel paid for cabs. Low hotel prices! Ample breakfast buffet included. Loved this place -- took my teen niece here at Christmas, as a return to civilization after three days outside the city.

I've stayed at several hotels in Fairbanks- always looking for a better one. I will definitely be going back to Springhill on my next trip! Nice central downtown location with a great restaurant in the hotel, large clean rooms with a flatscreen that swiveled for viewing on both the couch & bed, comfy beds & nice linens, good breakfast spread, helpful staff & a free airport shuttle. What more could you ask for?

The room had amenities that were useful: microwave oven, refrigerator. The exercise gym was adequate. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of choices. Location good. Room cleanliness excellent. Secure hotel. The value for the cost is exceptional. Highly recommended.

I organised this hotel for my group of 8 people and find it very good value, spacious, loads of amenities and sitting area. Exceeded my expectations. Would definitely come again.

We have stayed here before but not since they updated the rooms. We thought overall it was a good deal for the price. Good selection of in room movies (very expensive though) the rooms were good size and the beds were comfortable. Some of the things we didn't like: the air conditioner really didn't work, the toiletries for very sparse, and you could hear quite a bit of noise from the hallway and adjoining room. Overall it was a good stay.

This hotel is centally located. There is a very nice restaurant connected to the hotel and several others within walking distance. The rooms are more spacious than some of the other chains in town with space in which to work. A bit dated, but we will stay there again.

this is the second time i have stay at this location and i beleive i probly will not stay in any other hotel in fairbanks, AK

i hugely enjoyed the hotel, would definately recommend to anyone...

Overall this was a very good hotel stay. Upon arrival I asked if a crib I had requested was in the room, they said it didn't show up in the special requests but would get us one though and it was in the room before we'd brought the bags up. Then after settling in we asked about where to eat dinner and they gave us a map and directions to the cuisine we'd asked about. When we returned from dinner the girls at the front desk had a bag of bath toys for our 15 month old son, he was very happy, which was perfect as we were headed up to the room for bath and bed. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful both mornings at 7:00 and 9:30. The only thing that kept this from being a higher score was the king bed in our room, it was rather uncomfortable. I'm a rather frequent camper and would have preferred the ground and an air matress over that bed, we have a king hotel bed at home but both my wife and I woke up with back pain both days. Would probably stay again, there is a nice whirlpool and pool, but would get two queen beds over the king and hope for more comfort.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was clean. Parking was a little rough, but they do have some overflow accross the street. All in all was a nice hotel with friendly staff. Had a real good time in Fairbanks.

The hotel staff was so helpful and accomodating for my family. They switched rooms at my 5 year old's request so we could be on the top floor without a wince. The staff was very kind to my children and helped at every opportunity. The only thing that we would change was the pool temperature. It was a little too cold for us:)

the free breakfast was great, although the eggs, sausage, ham could have been hotter
