Racial oriented staff at night. Canceled several of our groups rooms and tried to make them rebook at a higher per night cost.
The front desk staff was delightful. However, the first room we were assigned had not been cleaned, and we were given another room quickly, and with appologies. It was in desperate need of a deep clean. The carpet was disgusting, and really needed to be swept around the edges and by the nightstands and chairs. There was a gross amount of debris and dust. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Avoid rooms by the stairs, you can hear every footstep going up and down the stairs.
The room was clean, bed was comfortable. They serve a full breakfast of hot and cold items. I would stay again!
The front desk staff was extremely friendly and readily anawered any questions/concerns that I had. I had a group of teenagers who enjoyed the lobby as yhey felt welcome and comfortable. If I’m ever in the area again, Best Western, located on S. Alabama Avenue, is my choice of stay.

I make a few trips to Monroeville every year. This is my first stay at Best Western and it was by far the best and at a cheaper price.

We are sorry you feel this way, because we are NOT racial oriented! The reservations canceled were due to invalid credit cards in which case we cannot hold rooms (especially when there is a high demand for rooms)
