Not a good experience

I asked for a quiet room and they booked a hockey team around me that partied all night. It was very disturbing and negatively impacted my functionality at an all day work shop I was traveling to. Also, I thought breakfast was included but was told my name wasn’t on the list. Not to Courtyard standards I’m used to.

I did not like waiting half an hour to simply check in, when I made the reservation I did so with 2 queens, when we finally got the key card, we realized it was 1 king and a pull out sofa, Then I realized I was the one to make it after a very long day. The proces for breakfast is high.

The employees were great, friendly and helpful. There were several families in the lobby upon my arrival. The adults were sitting at the café counter, their kids were running all over the lobby, jumping on chairs and sofas, throwing flip-flops and screaming. This was not the hotel fault. But I think the manager should have said something to the parents. My reservation stated that checkout time was 12:00. At 9:30 I was unable to get back into my room, after going to my car, because my key had been deactivated. Between 10-10:45 the phone rang but nobody was on the line. Then it continued to ring once then nothing for 10 minutes, ring once again…This happened seven or eight times. At 11:15, as I was getting out of the shower, housekeeping entered the room without knocking, even though I had hung the do not disturb sign on the door. This was supposed to be a relaxing stay for my partner and I. Next time we will choose a different hotel.
