The check-in process for this hotel was long. The desk person tried to multitask while having a Premier Choice Member waiting. The wait was entirely too long. The breakfast had a lot of food, but the hot food was not good. I stayed in room 101. The toilet ran constantly. The bathroom is not very functional. The bathroom had a STINK odor that would not go away. I found bugs crawling in this room. The room is old and outdated. This room is very noisy because of proximity. The people above, people next door, and the outside noise. This was a terrible room to place any guest. This was a bad stay and I will not return.
My family and I stayed here for our daughter's soccer tournament and we were less than impressed. The young man that checked us in was unable to find our reservation (until I located the email confirmation) and he had no people skills whatsoever. The room décor looked newer but the smell in the room was musty and our shoes stuck to the floor when we walked in the bathroom. The comforter had stains on it but the sheets and pillowcases appeared clean. The window in the room was able to be opened but we found it odd that there was no screen. The walls must be very thin because one of the nights we could hear our neighbor snoring. The stairwell carpet was absolutely disgusting with visible black stains everywhere. The lobby and hallways had dirt everywhere and it looked as though vacuuming and sweeping were neglected. I know many construction workers were staying there so I'm assuming that the debris came from their shoes, but there has to be a solution to this. Perhaps the thing that bothered us the most was the staff member who was on the phone loudly complaining about her job with no regard for the customers that were standing around that could hear her conversation. The breakfast was your typical free hotel fare and the dining area was kept very clean. I will say that the only way I would ever stay here again is if it was for only one night, but the price would have to be $60 or less. There are so many other nicer looking hotels nearby so I would not recommend this one.
The room was nice enough but we were a bit turned off by a cracked bathroom floor tiles and a patched up spot on the wall in the bathroom. Worst of all, the bathroom sink drained very slowly resulting in an unpleasant odor from the trap. These might seem like minor details but it creates a negative impression. The outdoor pool was welcome since it was in the 90s when we were there. The free breakfast provided was excellent and the staff was friendly. If they spruced up the place with new carpeting, paint and tended to details I would rate them 4 stars.
We were pleasantly surprised! This hotel exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Very clean rooms and very quiet. Front Desk is very friendly and helpful. Love the bed and excellent amenities! Great value for the location. Will definitely come back!
While I was checking in the FD agent told me about the manager reception the following day. I told her that I wouldn't be at the hotel at those times and she assured me that she would have my drinks placed in the refrigerator in my room. I didn't hold my breath on a promise like that but when I returned later the next day, I was shockingly surprised when I opened my refrigerator and there were 2 ice cold Bud Lights. This establishment exceeded my expectations and if I'm ever I'm ever in the area again for business or pleasure, this place will be my first choice.
Staff was friendly. This property is in need of updating. My room had a musty order and had several cobwebs. There were dead bugs on the floor and I killed a spider underneath the desk. Carpets are worn. The shower did have the best water pressure of any hotel that I've stayed in. Probably will not return. Too many other options on the east side of Evansville
My husband and our friends stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was extremely quiet. We were in town for our grandson's baseball tournament. Our room was very clean and my husband loved the bed. Kimberly checked us in and was extremely nice. The other front desk people were nice as well. The lady taking care of breakfast was so accommodating. She loves her job and you can tell. We would definitely stay here again.
We spent the day at Holiday World and was ready to get a good nights sleep before heading back home to Tennessee. This hotel is located in a quiet area with a small lake or very large pond across from it that you can take a walk around. The hotel and room were clean and the room was very comfortable. The free breakfast was very good, and the room rate was very reasonable.
Made and paid for a reservation Thursday afternoon. Arrived at midnight Friday and while they had our reservation information, our room wasn't ready and we had to wait 15-20 minutes while they cleaned it. The AC was very loud every time it came on in the night, interrupting an already short night's sleep.
Room rate was great, $84 plus taxes for a mini suite with king bed. We were offered drink tickets for a complimentary drink at 5:30 which also included snacks. We were heading to an event so we didn't go but did find we weren't even given the drink tickets at check in. We weren't given the room number on our key card envelope and didn't notice till we got to the third floor, the front desk woman seemed already distracted while checking us in. Room exactly as shown online, separate space with tv, couch, mini fridge, room separated with doors so it felt like a mini apartment. Upgraded room, all looked very nice and inviting. Found hairs on the mattress and on the bed frame behind the mattress. Coffee and breakfast all mediocre but is nice to have the options. It wasn't completely unpleasant and worked for a one night stay, but all the hairs under the sheets is pretty gross. See pictures. Lady who worked that morning in the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful!
