Quiet Getaway Location Close to Redwoods

Property was ideally located for Avenue of Giants, Fern Canyon, and the Redwood Skywalk. Tucked away on the outskirts of Eureka (has everything you need or want).

Nice, quiet place

Very nice house for our family of 4. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to the 101 for everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely recommend!

cold shower

The primary bathroom shower valve does not work correctly and needs to be reinstalled. No hot water from that shower all other areas have hot water. No water pressure in the main bathroom sink out of either hot or cold. Kitchen has plenty of dishes and silverware but lacks in utensils and no regular size glasses, only wine and juice size glasses. A clock in the bedroom and in the livingroom area would have been nice also.

HIllcrest Hideaway

The property was as described. Great location for what we wanted to do. The beds were comfortable. The only issue was, the coffee filters were basket style and the coffee maker used cone style, so the basket filters overflowed and got grounds in the coffee pot. We didn't know this at the time when we went to the store or we would have bought some. Overall the place was great and I would definitely stay there again.

Humboldt Hill Hideaway

Never stayed in the Eureka area before, and could not have been more pleased with this rental for a long weekend with family to visit. Home is in a rural residential area, sits high on a hill up a gravel road. And is a quick 5 minute drive to get to local shopping and main road into downtown Eureka. House would not be good for young children as the only play area would be on the driveway, otherwise, a steep drop around house. Interior was small but comfortable for 4 adults with open plan kitchen/dining/living area. Overall, perfect for us!

Great place for extended stay while on vacation. In between Prairie Creek State Park to the north and Avenue of the Giants to the southeast, and just outside Eureka.

Overall very clean, well furnished and very convenient location to just about anything you would want to do or eat. All the places we visited were within 1-1.5 hours.

Redwoods vacation

The house was great and the location was centered between the places we wanted to visit along the redwoods coast. However, the city of Eureka was very depressing and not what I expected to find amongst the amazing coast.

Perfect for our needs

This home is lovely and in a great location for visiting the redwoods or the beach. I had one small problem with a window that prevented me from turning on the alarm system, but the manager was there first thing to get it fixed. I do wish there had been a fire pit.

Beautiful property in the Redwood belt

We had a wonderful stay at the property for the New Years week. The checkin process was wonderful and the house was just perfect for us - 2 families with 2 toddlers. It was nicely stocked with amenities to last us the whole week. A short drive (under 10 mins) to downtown with all the city amenities and eat outs. We drove couple times through the Humboldt Redwoods State park a short 30 min drive and also hiked around. While we didnt spend much time outside the home as there isn’t a backyard, we still spotted some deer and petted some horses around the home that the kids loved. Overall it was a wonderful break and we would love to be back at Eureka and stay at the place.
