Spouse & I stayed here for 3 nights while exploring the area, so got the full, not-so-good experience. Check in was efficient, but robotic; front desk clerk seemed like she was going through the motions w/o a warm or friendly demeanor. Housekeeping failed to dispose of a pair of men's briefs left by a previous guest They lay on the floor Sat.,Sun., Mon. GROSS. Mold was on the shower's ceiling/wall trim; grout was discolored. Hotel deactivated our room keys after 2 days; we'd paid for 3. Front desk took care of it, without explanation or apology. "Here you are" is unacceptable. No channel guide provided. Good stuff: shower/toilet is in a separate area from vanity. There is lots of parking. Breakfast is filling. Fairly quiet except for doors slamming & upstairs guests' stomping. We never heard "Thank you" or "Welcome" at any time. Staff truly needs hospitality training and management should pay attention to the details. Wouldn't stay here again.
Stayed at this Comfort inn last week One of the best comfort inn we have stayed at in a 5,000 mile drive around the west coast of the USA Few points great. Bed , great pillows, clean very tidy Great breakfast, Tip drive thru Eureka from the north , and book into this comfort inn, you will not be disappointed for the price.
We were there when the fires were hitting wine country and unfortunately that caused us to not have internet at the hotel and also no ATT wireless. So that caused a little issue, but they had a room available without a reservation, and the room was very clean, big and a very comfortable bed.
Very overpriced, good staff, terrible unsafe area, nowhere near any bay that I could see. Security cameras evident in parking areas. The couple we were with had to change rooms do to the " smoke free" pot smell in the room. The pictures of the lobby and pool area do not relate to the aged overpriced rooms. Will not return, can't understand some of the reviews, they do not describe the hotel we stayed at.
We've stayed here several times over the years when we visit kids and grandchildren in Eureka. It was always good but it's gotten even better after renovation. It's the best value for the money in the area, with a good free breakfast and excellent in-room coffee. The bed and pillows are comfortable, decent sized towels in the bathroom, good water pressure. Easy in an out. A better value, we think, than the Best Western just up the road.
I have stayed in Eureka quite a few times over the years. This is the first time I stayed at the Comfort Inn. It is on the far south side of the city so not near downtown or any restaurants. We were just quickly passing through so the Comfort Inn was fine. The rooms were clean and a decent size. This would not be my preferred location to stay in Eureka but it was fine for one night.
Flew in from the South East. Driving up the coast line from Oakland. Needing a place to stay. Got 2 rooms for 7 people. EXTREMELY nice motel!! Front desk was excellent with happy people! Breakfast we good. I'd stay again if we passed through.
A classic road side lodging with clean room and basic amenities. The guest laundry facility was a plus and the staff was very helpful. Our room was a bit noisy since it was on the ground floor facing the main road. Other than that, everything works great.
Pros: nice lobby with acquariums, efficient staff, renovated King room, double vanity in bath. Quiet and dark room, slept well except for Cons: alarm went off at 5 a.m. and we didn't set it. Phone kept blinking message but no message; old toilet needs adjusting; why old toilet in renovated room? pool in separate building very inconvenient; fitness center needed special key to use (what? Never heard of that). As said, staff efficient but not friendly. Breakfast, sub typical but with real dishes and real flatware, that is no Styrofoam, plastic or paper. Coffee was yuck... Comfort Inns, please get rid of Nescafe. Room had no tissues. We did use the in room Kuerig which was a better cup of coffee ALTHOUGH someone overloaded it with water. Housekeeping should check and be sure alarms are off, Kuerigs are empty etc.
We needed a place to stay for the night on our way to Seattle.this fit the bill-the rooms were clean and tidy and breakfast was a bonus. There was a petrol station across the highway and a Chinese restaurant next door.It is not near the heart of Eureka. There did seem to be some dubious people living behind the hotel, but we stayed in our room mostly so were not bothered by them.Staff were really friendly.
