When you think of shady motel this fits it to a tee. The Staff was excellent better than the higher priced motel staff. Just bad area.

Dirty and dangerous area.room smelled awful, dirty table counters and mattress.

Had free breakfast in the morning and they even have a good pool!

nice lady runs it but bad neighborhood, wifi didn't work for my 3 day stay, not fancy for sure but cheap and friendly and clean enough/lots of hot water and a nice swimming pool which i didn't use. good for a traveler on a budget

We had a friend in from Australia and wanted simply to drive north in California and see stuff. This hotel was a good value, and centrally located in the area we visited.

We were in town for the night for a race. Basic housing for one night. Nothing fancy, however I didn't expect there to be.

Old worn motel, a little grungy and dirty on the edges, but had clean towels and clean sheets, certainly good enough for some over night rest and sleep... Very Nice and Friendly Staff...

I would stay here again. We arrived close to midnight and were able to get checked in by the woman on staff quickly. The room was clean and comfy. I had selected a non-smoking room, however I was surprised that I wasn't even aware I had been given a smoking room till the next morning when I saw an ash tray- it didn't smell like I would have expected! Overall a nice place to stay on the cheap while road tripping.

an aging hotel in a somewhat iffy neighborhood. homeless people roamed the parking lot. no problems however. the hotel was clean and quiet.

The place was really old and cell block looking. It was almost embrassing to take my guest there.

The hotel is at the North end of town. It is average, maybe a bit dated, but the man at the desk was great. Enjoyed the half Costco muffins on the way out in the morning.

Positive: It was quiet, the whole place is like a bomb shelter as far as sound filtering and making sure no one else is heard. I rather like that. Negative: Air conditioner is way out of service. Froze up a lot and didn't exactly provide anything towards the act of cooling a room of that size ... it was simply overpowered by the job it had to do. Electrical connections, you have one or two free ones in inconvenient places. I usually bring a powerstrip on my trips to deal with that, but I forgot. So, bring one if you bring a laptop or want to charge your cell phone. Showerhead comes to about chest height and I'm just under 6 foot. There are rocks on the beach in Crescent City softer than the bed. I booked for two days, stayed one night, didn't return for the second. In essence: Summer time brings about shortages in Northern California for accommodations. This place has walls, it's sturdy, and it's quiet. But don't expect anything else. Recommend only as a last resort.

terrible. Air conditioner was not working. Room was very tired and not very clean. Would never stay there again

Good overnight no frills room. Clean, lots of TV channels, quiet, comfortable. Good location on North end of town.

Good price.

This was just a stop over for us as we were traveling up to Oregon. It was a convenient place to rest, and we just needed to sleep. Got in pretty late, but the front desk person came right away when we rang the bell. I had accidentally booked a smoking room (even though I wrote in non-smoking in the preferences). The man was very nice and switched us to a non-smoking room without fuss. It was a bare bones room, but we somehow got upgraded to a room with a kitchen (not that we used it). The water was hot and the shower strong so we basically had what we needed for the night. Some of the lights didn't work, but we were too tired to care. For the price (which was a little spendy for the type of place), it was an ok stay. I have to admit that I was very impressed with the smooth way the front desk person handled my booking error. I would give a 2 stars for the actual room (which is what I expected), and a 4 star for his service.

pictures can be deceiving, and this is the case for this hotel, one night stay was plenty enough.

The room was very clean and appropriate for the price we paid, and compared to the price of other rooms in this city. The heated, small indoor pool was a plus. The pool, water, and enclosure appeared to be very clean. There was a traffic signal noise that was irritating, and I was disappointed they diluted the orange juice so obviously.

Mildew smell in the rooms were very strong. The smell made sleeping very difficult.

Very clean, but the continental breakfast offer was not standard. No microwave to heat up breakfast muffins offer, no fruit or cereal, milk or juice.
