Worst casino hotel ever! Paper thin walls, heavy doors that slam shut all night, obnoxious loud locals renting the rooms and making noise all night. I complained to the front desk twice during my stay and both times they said “yeah, when people get inebriated they usually get obnoxious.” The casino itself is tiny and very dark and not very enjoyable. Shady people lingering around outside. Avoid this place at all costs!

I loved that I could gamble and stay at the same place. This hotel was great and only 10 minutes from Eureka, CA.

The room was spotless, comfortable furniture, very nice art work. There were motion detector lights that turned on and off in the night without anyone moving. they may have been triggered by someone passing in the hall. this woke me up several times in the night. We did not use the casino because it had almost no smoke free areas.

The only thing I had a problem with was the checkin process. Since I booked thru Orbitz and prepaid the hotel didn't have a way to easily check us in so I waited for about 30 mins in the lobby getting their back office to get it worked out.

My husband and I just needed a room for one night due on a trip from San Francisco to the Giant Redwoods. We were pleasantly surprised by the cost of the room versus the quality of it! Wow!

I had a great time here you get10$ free gameplay for sign up, make sure you check with hotel for availability tho orbitz doesn’t have access to availability. Don’t loose all your money st the black jack table haha good luck...............................

Very nice hotel and reasonably priced! However, there needs to be more parking available for hotel guests. When arriving at hotel in the evening, the parking lot for hotel guests was full. Therefore, I had to park in the far back section of (poorly lighted) casino lot and walk to hotel lobby.

Beautiful new building is what you see first. Very friendly and efficient staff. Next you come into your room- it is spacious and smells great! Very clean. This is a new building. Then you may want to try out the sauna and the pool- sauna was small and infrared. I could not figure out how to use it. Silly me, but if I can not figure it out- it may pose some difficulty to others. It is brand new though. Pool- a disappointment- very shallow and small! The biggest problem is that it is extremely shallow. They state there are rooms with ocean view and mountain view- there is actually neither. So if you are looking for the views through the window- these are simply not there. I had a mountain view room- did not see no mountains. Ocean is far away. so if you are lucky- you may use binoculars to take a glimpse at the ocean. Overall- I had a nice stay. .

We were on a road trip and didn't get a lot of time at the hotel, but were able to get checked in easily and it seemed like they had nice facilities

We arrived later than expected but the hotel staff were very welcoming and checked us into our room quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Wonderful hotel. I've stayed here numerous times. Also booked for the parents. They loved it! Great service! Clean, spacious rooms leave nothing to be desired. Hotel lobby has vending services for any toiletries you may have forgotten along the way. Also, the gas station and it's little casino off to the side are a plus. A short walk to get some great snacks for the room. The casino has everything you'd want without the hassle of Big Vegas. I'm most impressed with the stay and play deals offered from time to time. A great way to get people in the door! I love gambling on the casinos dime. Even win a little once in awhile. You must do the prime rib and the breakfast buffet! Priced right and always on the mark! Bloody marys in the lobby bar and a decent little night life in the main bar. Karaoke and dancing. Hmmm. I do get a kick out of some of the regulars who hang out there weekends. Free soft drinks, coffee and hot chocolate in the casino a huge plus on cold nights! We come here when visiting family in Fortuna. Very convenient to Eureka and all other points North.

Good off the highway location. Great view of the Eel River and Ferndale in the distance. I would stay there again if the price was right.

This is a Casino hotel and they promote the fact that they are 100% smoke free lodging. Problem is it is part of a smokey casino. As soon as you walk into the lobby you get a blast of cigarette smoke. It was so thick I started coughing. That's ridiculous. It's not smoke free. If you can stand the smell and how it makes your clothes reek afterwards then this spot will do as it is close to 101 and has a great view of the Eel River and the coast.

I would definitely stay here again. It was close to our daughters for the holidays.

I've stayed several times within the past two years. I've enjoyed a wonderful clean and spacious guest room. I've used the wireless and its always worked without fail. The bathroom is always spotless as are the grounds of this hotel. The casino is like most. It is a smoking casino so if you are bothered by it, my advice is to stay away (from the casino). The restaurant is quite surprisingly wonderful. The portions are huge and each of the breakfast dished I've tried were spectacular. Other than the coffee not being hot once, I've never had an issue. PROS: Everything from the room, grounds, casino, restaurant, cafe and bars! You have to try the bloody Mary's! Karaeoke Thursdays at the main casino bar is a plus! CONS: Each time I visit, I get a different feel from the employees at the hotel check in desk. This trip, they were as nice as could be. Another trip, they were very stand offish and distant. Wake up call came in just under 30 minutes late on this visit. If your particular about a bit of water on the floor when showering, ask for a room that has full closing doors. I believe they are in the process of retrofitting the nicer looking but less effective current glass panels.

We were greeted cheerfully and there wasn't a wait. Everything was neat, clean and comfortable, without a doubt, this was the best value in Humboldt County.

Staff are very nice, room is very clean, casino is entertaining.
