Hotel is one of the nicer choices to choose from in the area. Staff was polite and helpful. Rooms were for the most part clean. Furniture was in good condition and clean. No stains on walls or carpet. Hallways smelled fresh. A little noises due to highway traffic. Sheets were bug and hair free. Bathroom and shower looked upgraded recently. Great refreshing stay. Would recommend in your passing through.
we loved the room we usually stay at the Hampton inn but we will be back to stay at the sleep inn we promised Promise haha we loved her as well she was great my wife called to make a reservation and she helped her out a lot and was very outgoing she really made our day. We needed truck parking and was happy to know you had it this is a great hotel
My husband and I recently stayed overnight at this Sleep Inn. When we arrived the lobby was sparkling marble and chrome. Our check in host was a lovely young woman. She was friendly, courteous and accommodating. So far, so good. Our elevator ride portended things to come. After an uneventful ride to the second floor, the elevator opened to a stuffy (air conditioning?) and grubby hallway. We found our room and were underwhelmed. The carpet feels dirty, the walls are dingy and the bedspreads were a dark brown. Better to hide the dirt? The air conditioner worked very well. The lampshades were so dusty the edges were furry. Everthing just felt and smelled very grubby. My husband took a shower. The water was hot and plentiful, however the bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned very well. When he stepped out of the shower, the bathroom floor felt very sticky. The sink drain had something green stuck in it. (lettuce?) The door was filthy with fingerprints. I used the bathroom minimally and saved my shower for when I got home. This place sorely needs updating. I was glad when it was morning so we could leave.
We are big road trippers and have stayed in 40+ hotels, motels, cabins, and cottages over the last several years. This was the worse one. I agree with previous reviews about many things: the bathroom sink faucet was extremely loose and felt like it would come off at any moment, the hotel booklet with the information in it was scribbled on and torn and stained, the bed pillows are these odd sized throw pillow like things, and only half the light bulbs worked. And the list continues: the sheets and pillowcases were stained, the lampshades were dented, dusty, and stained, the shower curtain was too small for the shower rod, and even though the bathroom looked freshly painted with a trendy green color-you could see stains coming through (mold?). The chair was ripped, the carpet looked and felt dirty, the elevator reeked of smoke, and even though we were on a non-smoking floor, we could smell someone smoking weed at 11:30 at night. There were smudges on the door and the furniture looks like it wasn't wiped down. The tub drain was broken and my son cut his foot on it!!!! Overall, this room just made me itchy. It was only for one night and my husband kept reminding me that. He was too tired after 10 hours of driving to try and find a different hotel. But, he was up and ready to get out of there by 5:30 am!! The worse part? It was 150 dollars for the night!!! We've paid 50 dollars for a little no-name motel in the middle of nowhere in Minnesota once and that place was a hundred times cleaner. This was our first time in a Sleep Inn and unfortunately for other Sleep Inns, we will not be staying with them after this! And we will not recommend them. The only good thing was the girl at the front desk who checked us in. She was very friendly and took her time with all customers, including the ones on the phone.
This motel uses scented cleaning products. If you get rashes or respiratory problems, avoid this motel. Even the lobby is heavily scented! There is no need for this as the sleep inn at brunswick georgia does not use scented products. This motel just has to call them and find out what to use!.
I had a confirmed, prepaid reservation at this property and upon arrival I was in formed the type of room I reserved was not available as it was overbooked with a large group. I made the reservation 6 weeks in advance and they reconfirmed via email 5 days before my arrival. I needed two beds due to my son recovering from back surgery and they offered one bed and a cot, not doable. They refunded my money and sent me to the Days Inn next door that turned out to be hideous. It was Easter Saturday night so our choice was limited. Never again!! For Choice hotels.
I was disappointed in this Sleep Inn. The front desk person seemed to be poorly trained and not very informative about the area. The room was in need of an updating. All the furniture was used and abused. Even the information book had torn and missing pages and was filthy! There was a coffe maker in the room, but only one hot cup was provided. The breakfast seemed sparse and unappetizing. I have enjoyed staying at other Sleep Inns in the past, and will again....but not at the Sleep Inn Emporia.
As a woman traveling alone I like to feel safe, which I do here. The front desk is very friendly, and helpful, and I always feel welcome. I am a smoker, so totally appreciate that I have that option here - thank you!! Please note, smoking & pet rooms are on the 4th floor only, so non-smokers without pets are on 1-3, so won't be bothered by the smoke, or pet dander. The room is comfortable, clean, and WI-FI works very well. There are both an Italian and a Mexican restuarant practically on-site, which saves from having to drive back out once settled in. This will always be my stop-over!! I have stayed 4x in the past 6 months, and will be stopping again next week.
We were here a month ago. We paid extra for the dog. We were end of hall 2nd floor. Perfect. Easy in, up, out. Return a month later, we paid extra for the dog and the clerks quote was a very snippy, "If you have a pet, you're on the fourth floor". When I asked about the discrepancy, I got another snippy, "Those are the rules". Not only are we on the fourth floor, but not near elevator or staircase...with a small dog. The cigarette smell is pretty bad, but not in the room, just in the hall. We've stayed in Choice Hotels with pets for years, but we will never come back to this one!
For $10 more dollars I could have stayed at the Marriott, big mistake. The faucet in the bathroom was so loose, it was like hanging by a thread. Two dim wall sconce lights in the bathroom, one of which was out...no over head lighting in the shower and the fan was not working. Food particles all over the floor and half sized, old and stained pillows. I can't believe that the cleaning crew doesn't report this stuff! I paid close to $100 for this room which was worth more like $40. Reported all of this and was told that they would take 10% off the room. I would never stay at a Sleep in again.
