Beautiful property and great room. Pat was super nice and great to talk to as well as accommodating for us dropping in a little early and coming in late too. If you are going to Pitt Race in Wampum, its a very easy 20 min drive from Chapel Valley to the track. Highly recommend!
We loved staying at chapel valley! We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon, and felt very welcome. The owners are very hospitable and the breakfast was homemade and amazing. It is a quiet place for anyone who needs to relax and enjoy family time. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Pros Very nice inn keepers, willing to accommodate needs, great conversation at breakfast, really enjoyed meeting Pat and Tom and Pats mom. Great delicious breakfasts, (Pat is a skilled cook and Baker) and my favorite thing is not having to sit at a large dining room table with strangers, you can sit at your own table :) Beautiful cottage loft room If you forget your shampoo, conditioner or shower gel, it’s in the shower. Loved having the robes next to our jacuzzi tub (we stayed in the cottage loft). Snacks and drinks and water in the room. Creamer and coffee and coffee maker in the room. The absolute most comfortable heavenly sleep in a bed and breakfast I have ever had. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable room, even with the temperature being 91 the weekend we were there. The grounds are beautiful, lots of sitting areas outside. Great fast communication for any questions you have. WiFi available We already made our reservation for next year :) Cons I cannot think of a thing that needs improved at this B&B
What a fantastic place to spend a night or few! We stayed in "The Cottage Loft" and it was so perfect! Let me start by saying how exceptionally clean this place is - both inside and outside! S.P.O.T.L.E.S.S.!! Next I want to say these folks thought of everything! They truly want you to enjoy your stay with them and have done everything to assure that you will be comfortable! As we were checking in, Ester (the inn sitter) was baking cookies - so she sent us up to the loft with a plate of freshly baked oatmeal cookies to welcome us with! Yummy!! The Cottage Loft is the top floor of an out building just steps away from the main house. (The lower level is another rent-able space that seemed much larger than the loft area up above). To get to the loft area, you will need to carry your things up a flight of about a dozen steps - to a landing - then up another 5-6 steps into the loft area. Once you're up there, you will immediately forget that you just carried a baby elephant's weight in luggage up the statue of liberty's worth of steps - because of how darn cute this place is! They have it decorated so quaint and the view from the back windows is so private and peaceful - and it's one of the first things you notice. The next thing I noticed was the bed - it was beautifully made-up with just the right amount of pillows. And the bed is so so very comfortable and the sheets are amazing - so soft and regal feeling. Just mere steps away from the king size bed is a beautiful jetted garden tub! Just what we needed after a day of golf at Olde Stonewall GC! It was perfect! The kitchen area is awesome! The view from the kitchen windows is the main house and patio area. A very nice view indeed! And It really is a full kitchen - complete with a stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, and the shelves, drawers and cupboards are filled with anything you may need - pots & pans, dishes, silverware, measuring spoons, dish towels, etc... And, if that isn't enough - they even stock the kitchen with snacks (a great variety of snacks - both healthy and not-so healthy but yummy - Lays potato chips, Frito's, fruit snacks, mixed nuts, fig bars, snack crackers, popcorn, oatmeal, hot cocoa, etc...)! And in the fridge there were bottles of water as well as a variety of cans of soda & juice. And - as if all of that weren't enough - there are also small candy dishes sitting about - filled with a beautiful variety of candy! (bite size candy bars, malted milk balls, etc...). Now these snacks are not generic - they are quality snack items - just for "you"! They have also provided a full size coffee maker, along with coffee and creamer - both in the fridge to make sure they are kept fresh. The bathroom is so cute and comfortable - and includes a very nice shower with high end shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. As well as a hair dryer and "lady pads" just in case you are in need. The evening we were there was a great weather evening - so before we settled in for the night, we sat outside on the very comfortable lawn furniture and enjoyed the sounds of nature and the beautiful sky. So peaceful... The next morning, we went over to the main house for breakfast. Wow - just wow!! Breakfast was amazing!! It was all home made - lemon/poppy-seed waffles with blackberry syrup, ham cups with eggs & cheese, fresh fruit, half of a banana drizzled with chocolate & almond slivers, yogurt, oatmeal cookies, delicious coffee and plenty of creamer. We did not go away hungry! And, the inn-keepers (Pat & Tom) were so so so nice! They walked around and socialized with everyone as they ate-making sure everyone was comfortable and content. Their daughter was also there helping - (I'm so sorry that I didn't catch her name), but she was so sweet and helpful. And, she is the artist that has painted much of the beautiful pictures you'll see all around the place. This place was so amazing - we never expected it to be as amazing as it actually turned out to be! We will definitely stay here again and again! Thank you, Pat, Tom & Ester for your hospitality!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chapel Valley Estate. The rooms were all decorated with delightful holiday decorations. The service was personal and very helpful. And the breakfast was an amazing variety of wonderful choices. The Estate has a variety of rooms, including a banquet room we used for a wedding rehearsal dinner.
We recently stayed here for two nights and were more than pleased. The property is spectacular, the inkeepers charming; wonderful breakfasts both days. We traveled to Canton to the Pro Football HOF from there which was an easy 90 minute drive. We will return!
We have stayed at Chapel Valley Estate at least five times since my in-laws live close by. Our initial visit was with the original owners (Denny and Rose) and then the new owners (Tom and Pat). We thought the high standards might fall given new ownership but we were pleasantly surprised. Tom and Pat have done an excellent job maintaining the original high standards, cleanliness, and customer service we have come to expect from Chapel Valley while also adding some of their own touches. Tom and Pat truly care about the people that stay there. They are extremely open to feedback and try to accommodate requests whenever they can. In fact, Pat went out and bought organic food and tried some new recipes during my last stay since my health required a restricted diet. The rooms are spotless and quiet, bed and linens comfortable, food is delicious (hands-down the best french toast I have ever had!), conversation at breakfast with other guests or the owners always enjoyable, supplied bathrobes are a nice touch, access to drinks and snacks at all hours is convenient, reliable and fast wifi. I would never stay anywhere else while visiting Ellwood City. Thank you Tom and Pat for a truly wonderful experience. See you again soon!
Beautiful location, gorgeous rooms, very clean, best breakfast around!! Pat and Tom are wonderful and so much fun to catch up with. We go every year for our anniversary. We love walking around and enjoying all of the beautiful flowers and the view.
Beautifully renovated inn. Cozy bedroom and updated bathroom with all the amenities you can imagine. The breakfast was bountiful, delicious and lovely in its presentation. Our bedroom was a little cold with air conditioning that was controlled elsewhere. Can imagine it being a nice place for a large group event, with its separate party room that opens to an expansive courtyard.
We have travelled around the country and by far this is the absolute best B&B (or Inn) we have ever experienced. Imagine the quiet of the country, the craftsmanship of country estate, and the cleanliness of a brand new property. Toss in excellent customer service and the sounds of nature and we didn't want to leave! A perfect night talking on the porch followed by a perfect night's sleep. Ahhhhh.
