This was hands down the best hotel breakfast we had in Chilean and Argentinean Patagonia, including Tierra del Fuego, with a great variety of healthy, delicious options we truly looked forward to each morning. The hotel has character & the staff is amazing. A shout out to Carlos & Juan Facundo at Reception who made us feel welcome & at home during our stay. The breakfast was delicious as was the food at the attached restaurant - El Alambique Resto. We had dinner at the restaurant two days in a row & the food was excellent. This is definitely the hotel we will stay in when we next visit El Calafet.

This hotel is just a little bit off the main drag in El Calafate, which we enjoyed because it was very peaceful but still walkable. The staff at the hotel were very kind, and I appreciated the beautiful flowers I received on the first day. However, the building feels quite dated — the last renovation was about 20 years ago — and it shows. The shower in our room didn’t drain properly, which was inconvenient, and the espresso was unfortunately very poor. With some updates and attention to these details, the stay could be much more enjoyable.
