Room was a little ‘dated’. Old furniture, drapes falling apart, extension cord exposed. Also jacuzzi shut down. However, linens were fresh, elevators fast & all working, and staff were quick & friendly. Close to all amenities & LRT. Thankfully security at door due to unfortunate homelessness problem in surrounding area.

Overall the Sandman is a very good hotel to stay in. Unfortunately, as with all major cities, feeling safe walking around at night is an issue, with growing problem of homeless people.

The staff is friendly and service is great; I was able to get free water bottles for each family member from the front desk. Check-in was fast and easy. The rooms are not the cleanliest; the ceiling is quite dusty; there was even a dead bug stuck there. The door handle in the washroom easily comes off. The front desk has been notified during check out. The bed is comfortable. AC works great. The location is central and easy access to public transit and a few minutes walk to the art gallery and museum. There are plenty of restaurants in the proximity. The table in the room seems dated. The pool and gym closes at 11 pm. Note: the gym is not open 24 hrs for those who enjoy a late workout. Overall, my stay was not bad.

The hotel was cleaner than I expected. The pillows were not comfortable and there was no parking. The entrance from the street could also do with some upgrading. In all it was not a bad stay. I will come again.
