This hotel was a last second booking for our family. We typically aim for a cheaper affordable hotel hotel because we are only the for normally 1 night to sleep, and typically try to find something with breakfast and a pool. Pros The matress was very comfortable. rooms were pretty clean. the room was very climatizable. CONS Pillows were so soft your head would sink into the pillow and you couldnt breathe. free breakfast was nice, but very low quality and very greasy. No playpens for the baby. no usb plugs in room or at the front desk for charging phones or ipads. The pool was very small and almost to cold for the kids to enjoy. The hot tub was to hot for anyone to go into, besides dangle there feet in it. All in all, this hotel is not worth the $140, iv stayed in many other hotels but have never been this disapointed for the cost.
I am a Gold Card Member. I reserved thru the IHG website. Found several things way different than the norm. 1. Was not welcomed as a Gold Member 2. Was not offered choice between. Beverage/snack or Welcome points 3. Was given a room right beside the elevator- In industry the worst room to have and most difficult to sell- why was I given one 4. Was not awarded my points I have stayed at this chain all the time and this is way out of the ordinary. As for room itself, was very mice standard room. Will I stay there again? Have my doubts
My son and I were worried about noise from the LRT going past the hotel. But you could not hear it in the hotel. The room was clean. There was a nice selection for the free breakfast. The front desk staff were helpful. My only complaint would be that the pool was a bit too cold. However, the hot tub made up for it.
This was a great stay. Had to stay here for a convention and just stayed as we had early morning meetings. Great and clean hotel. Nice staff, only issue was that it’s a little noisy when you are sleeping. Don’t know what it was that night .
I had a king bed room. Breakfast was okay. Hotel was clean. Bed was comfortable. I loved the use of the entire World Health Fitness Centre next door to the hotel as part of the hotel price. But a couple concerns. They kept contacting me on all my phone numbers before I checked in, even asking me to call back and confirm. So I tried, and was put on hold for over 10 minutes so I hung up. Also, I asked to have a wake up call, but the machine did not get reset for the fall time change, so I was awoken an hour early. Sigh. Overall, though, a good place at a good price. I'd stay there again, though I'd ignore all those pre-check-in calls.
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Edmonton North Is one among many in Edmonton but very much the only good hotel in this part of Edmonton, situated in a shopping area close to Costco and superstore (just across the street) and there is a Swiss chalet restaurant in its parking lot. The hotel is standard holiday inn in every thing including breakfast. It is far away from downtown Moncton and needs a taxi to get there. It has the best value for the money.
I chose to stop staying at my regular Holiday Inn due to poor management and continuous bad stays and I am glad I did. This hotel is worth the extra 10 minutes I have to drive to get to work. It is quiet, clean and the staff are friendly and caring. Guests are allowed access to the Gold's Gym next door which is nice and there is a Swiss Chalet and a gas station a stone throw away from the hotel. Very handy. I will stay here again.
On tour with 10 band and crew members. This hotel was easy to get to and had plenty of parking in the large lot for vans and trailer. Front desk staff were very welcoming and accommodating with our group arriving in two shifts, especially when my corporate credit card was in a bag with the other half of our group who were 3 hours behind us. Hotel was clean, rooms great size and VERY comfy beds and pillows! Front desk staff put our ice packs in their fridges over night for us. Breakfast was good, gym access was awesome, and plenty of choices for food and shopping in the parking lot. Enjoyed our stay here so much that we booked it for the return trip as well. Even more impressed with that stay as our lead singer forgot his iPad in the room and housekeeping manager, Rose, couriered it to us. Thank you and we will see you again soon I hope!
Major issues with our key card the entire stay. Staff were somewhat apologetic but being that I heard them say "I thought this room door had been fixed" led us to believe that it's an ongoing problem. Air conditioner had wires hanging out from underneath and sounded like an old jalopy car, but unfortunately it was too hot to sleep without it running. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. Breakfast was very good, unfortunately the seating area is quite small so we ended up eating back in our room. Halls and common areas were also very clean.
My wife and I needed to stay here for a few days do to plumbing issues in our home... The front desk staff was quick to give us a free upgrade to a King Size Bed!!! Extremely friendly staff!!! This place is super clean!!! Mattress in room looked new when inspected!!! Room was cleaned without fail!!! Pool and hot tub were also great!!! Swiss Chalet next door and Tim Hortons across the parking lot!!! I would happily recommend this hotel!!!
