The hotel is near the train station, the room & barroom are quite big and the cleaning is sufficient. On the other hand furniture are worn out and look dirty, some things were not working properly (e.g. window not locking..). Check in at 15:000 is not convenient.
The hotel is in a decent position - it is not right in the centre of town but the walk doesn't take more than 15mins. The room I had was clean and smart, with tea and coffee facilities, wardrobe with hangers, empty fridge, towels, and complimentary shower gel, body milk, and shampoo (albeit only one of each of the last three, despite two adults booking into the room). The windows are suicide windows - i.e. they open fully. Lovely for air circulation as the room did get hot and the thermostat seemed ineffectual. Be mindful if you have children. Breakfast is a joke. The offering is meagre and not replenished at any pace worth existing. If you aren't there at 7am you'll have scraps. I also witnessed a fellow guest inform the waiter that the bread rolls were still frozen in the middle. I also (like many other reviews) experienced rude staff. On returning to the hotel one evening, the card reader to get back in was not working and so my companion and I pressed the buzzer. There was another guest waiting to enter too and as the employee of the hotel came and let us in the guest informed her that the card reader was not working. The employee just responded: 'I know the card reader doesn't work, you don't have to tell me everytime.' very abruptly and stormed off back to reception. Very bad customer service and the deciding factor as to why the review gets two, instead of three, stars from me.
Came here for Easter holidays to spend quality time elsewhere. First 2 mins in a hotel already disappointing. Receptionist was rude, did not answer any questions and seemed like he had no qualifications to work there. Room smelled like WEED I swear, bathroom was filthy, bathroom tub blocked and even WC was broken. Next thing I see is a ripped bedding and dirty surfaces. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel for anyone than wild monkeys.
This lovely hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of this beautiful city. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and although the view was not great (you could see the Belfort Tower but mostly it was a view of the buildings opposite the hotel). The hotel is modern and spotlessly clean and on our visit the lobby was bright and very welcoming. We were pleased to find a Nespresso machine and kettle in the room, although it might not be the case in all rooms. We tried to look this up before our trip but couldn't find any information about tea/coffee so it might only be in the executive suites. Staff were very efficient and helpful and the bar was not any more expensive than the bars and restaurants we visited. We did not eat at the hotel so can't comment on the standard of food.
We called them by phone and they said it's ok to hold a meeting here at the bar. They even said highlighted the fact they had an upstairs bar where it's quiet to meet. This sounded great! However once we arrived they said we cannot have meetings anymore in the bar since they have too many people doing that. This is the first hotel were we can't have a drink at the bar and discuss some business. Furthermore the information given on the phone was completely wrong and we had to search for another place last minute because of this (we were left literally in the cold since it was freezing at the moment). We stayed before in NH hotel , but never again and certainly not this one!
Second time I've stayed here a few years apart. Staff welcoming and attentive at check-in. Room modern and clean, with coffee/tea making, toiletries tv, air-con, nice towels, bath with hot shower over and safe. Corridors and foyer rather dark and needing updating. Good breakfast extra at 19euro. Some street noise even on 3rd floor. Tram just outside but walkable to centre and railway. Wi-fi in room free
Stayed here for two nights: dark and uninviting lobby, basic breakfast area, and slightly sullen staff, but the room was large and pleasant enough. Hotel Parking available close to the hotel, but in a fairly muddy parking lot. Not sure if I'll return.
Nice hotel in a good location, Not far from the railway station St.Pieters and with a very convenient public transportation to the old city. Great place to walk to the SMAK museum in a wonderful park.
I visit this Hotel Many Time, but I found very rude staff this time, being a NH reward members they give me upgrade for my room, but this time they were very rude when i talked about upgrade as a sliver member
Convenient to train station (my reason for staying there) and at a walkable distance from downtown (though not that close). Professional but not efficient front desk. Breakfast had varied and good food. The décor is dated and so is the room/elevator. The kettle could be replaced as I would not have wanted to grow the content in a petri dish. Decent bed, wifi is OK. Room is minimalistic. No restaurant for dinner and not really close to any. Taxi ordering is a complete mess, my advice is do it yourself.
