Nestled in the Animas River Valley surrounded by the San Juan Mountains, the breathtaking mountain town of historic Durango awaits.



With the Animas River—El Río de las Animas (River of Souls)—running through and just steps away from San Juan National Forest, this is the ideal getaway for outdoor aficionados with gold medal fly fishing waters, whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Durango is also popular for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, road biking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, hunting, off-roading, year-round fishing, and golfing. A visit to Durango would not be complete without a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, with stunning mountain scenery and an education on the area's mining history.



The Durango Resort offers apartment-style accommodation with fully equipped kitchens, a fitness center and two outdoor hot tubs with breathtaking mountain views.



The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. This location is great if you want to be near the Durango rail station or near the shops and restaurants. The condo was very nicely appointed with very nice bed and bath linens. There is a full size microwave, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. The unit was extremely clean.The building has a front desk, so the check-in process is similar to that of a hotel. We would recommend this to others for a stay if looking for a hotel-like experience with a full kitchen and wanting easy on foot access to the rail station and the main strip of Durango.

This is hands down the best place to stay in Durango. Once there you hardly need a car and can walk to all the great things in downtown Durango. Their maintenance and upkeep of the units is top notch. Unit has everything you need and more. Front Desk Staff are amazing and kind!

The check in and out process was easy. The staff is very kind and helpful. It is clear they take pride in their facilty and service. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Everything in the room was clean and tidy. The pool table, arcade machine, and board games to check out was a bonus. Parking was easy and the location is perfect for walking to the historic district for shops, dining, and the train station. We would absolutely come back.

Great resort option

We loved staying here. All rooms have a kitchen so it was great to be able to bake pizzas one night. Perfect for couples or families. They have a hot tub and game room. Right by Main Street and also walking distance from the train. Great location. We totally recommend it.
