Enjoyed some nice restaurants, museums and lake walks. Central location, good experience.

Hotel was very nice, great location, staff good. Room was lovely, beds very comfortable. Only downside was the missing soap bars, but staff was great to get that for us. Lakeside room had a nice view. A little confusing on where to find the proper parking location but staff was great with that all so. Would stay here again.

Great experience. Good location, across a short path to the boardwalk, easy jaunt to Canal Park.

Very nice very clean. Great food at the bar. Hotel was clean and neat. Staff was very helpful. Hotel location was in the center of town. Easy walk to the main street for some night life. BUt it was to cold that night to walk around nice the next day to walk around.

Stayed over the Grandma's Marathon weekend, so it was pricey, but great location. Only complaint is they only allowed 1 extra hour of late check-out (knowing everyone was in the marathon that morning, that was tough). Plus, they were knocking at our door after that hour. I doubt there were many people checking in that night, so this was unnecessary.

Very Nice, clean close to lots of places to eat. I did eat at the hotel and the 301 burger was great !

Just spent a quiet weekend at this hotel. Room was clean comfy and the staff were fantastic. Parking was easy but a bit of a walk. Area of town was great, lots to do and easy access. Disappointing to have to pay for wifi, and the pool/exercise facility could be more user friendly. Overall good experience.

Staff were friendly to the extreme, even for MN. Quality of lobby bar and those lil bottles/toiletries put it over the top

The pillows in this hotel were absolutely amazing.

Stayed over the Grandma's Marathon Weekend - hotel is located downtown, walking distance to marathon bus, expo, finish line. Only draw back was the cost. They had a nice carbo-loading dinner at the in-house restaurant for the same price as the dinner at the expo.

Everything was wonderful!!! Rooms were very clean and quiet.

The Sheraton sits right in downtown, walking distance to the DECC and Canal Park. We were there for Grandma's Marathon Weekend, so it was quite pricey. But overall, a good stay. The restaurant off the lobby offered a great Pasta Dinner which was reasonably priced. Only two issues, TV channels all didn't work, but the staff allowed us to use the Lounge on the 6th floor to watch the game. Other issue was that we requested a late checkout due to the marathon. It was granted for one hour, but we had three maids at our door exactly at 1pm.

Front desk manager was unhelpful, non understanding and uncooperative. I will never stay there again as well as a few of my friends. Also, the room was small, light switches in awkward and inconvenient places, and maid service started knocking at 7 am...

The hotel is beautiful. Everything was great except the parking ramp is so far away from the hotel.

Nice clean room. Bed was very comfortable. The restaurant breakfast service was understaffed, so it was somewhat slow. Parking in their ramp is a bit inconvenient.

We came to see Lake Superior and travel to Grand Marais. The check-in was average and the clerk was not very helpful in directing us to the elevators. Once in the room however, we noticed that the room was very clean. However, the bed was very soft. The clerk said that all the beds were the same. We dined at a Japanese restaurant as the hotel had very little to offer. We also had cocktails at the place next door because their happy hour was cheaper and had more variety. I'm thankful we only stayed for two nights because my back was very painful thanks to the mattress! This has never happened before. I can assure you that we won't be back.

We booked the Sheraton this time again because of our last stay here we thought we would spoil ourselves a little and have a great ending to a spring vacation. This was not the case this time, were booked into a handicap room for reasons unknown, both days the hallways were noisy and people were going from room to room drinking at all hours till at least 4am when things finally quietend down. It appears we were booked into an area where people were there for a wedding or a party of some sort. High class hotel in a low class environment. Very disappointing.

I liked the hotel by the end of my stay, but hated it at first. The parking is in the public lot behind the hotel (they validate), but there was no sign indicating this, so first I kept driving around the block, then finally had to park at a meter a ways away and walk into the hotel to ask. It was a bit hard getting through all the doors from the lot to my hotel room with only one or two handicap buttons for automatic door opening. As I came into the guest room with my luggage, the door closed on me and the handle (long, not round) left a bruise and cut on my hip. I had asked for a room with a view of Lake Superior. They said that would cost $20 more, and I said I would be glad to pay it. My room was on the third floor, and I could see only a thin stripe of the lake above the building across the street. But it turned out that they did not charge me the $20, so that is OK. The bed wasn't very comfortable. But once I got over my initial poor impression, I did like the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were fine. The room was comfortable and aesthetically nice. Good desk, flat TV that could be turned to desk or bed. Very nice location. So - all in all - it was fine. I might test another hotel next time, but I wouldn't actively avoid this one.

My boyfriend I were visiting Duluth for a quick weekend get away. The hotel was clean, modern & in a great location for attractions, dining & access to the lakeshore. The staff was generally helpful & printed out directions for us. Unfortunately it did have a few downsides.First, the doors to each room slam so loudly that we barely got any sleep. Light sleepers beware.Secondly, they list themselves as a pet friendly hotel but they have very strict rules. Including you are not to leave your dog unattended in the room at any time, no exceptions. They even stopped us on our way out to dinner to make sure we were going to keep our dog in the car. I've been to much "pet friendlier" hotels in the past.Lastly, there was a mix up with my bill, my contact info was completely incorrect & they were unaware that I had already paid via [...].I would say it is a good location for young, single professionals & travelers that aren't planning on staying the room that much & want to be close to local attraction but that's about it.

The staff was courteous, rooms spotless, beds comfortable,& the shuttle service was an added bonus. We were happy with our choice to stay here.
