Stayed for a night at this wonderful Hotel, it’s modern and in a quiet atmosphere, the room was clean and bed very comfortable, only thing missing in the Room was the Bathrobe and Sleepers for a Sauna Visit. Breakfast Buffet was amazing and everything that I needed was available, it’s just hidden in a corner and I had to search for it first and later asked the Service team, I think they should tell the guest where the Buffet is located when someone enters the Room. All in all a perfect stay especially in the Sauna and Spa area. Will definitely come back again
The hotel is situated close to a park downtown. It is only a 10 min drive from the airport and approx 10 min walk from the old town. Driving to to the hotel is easy, melia Düsseldorf offers car parking at 25 euro pr night. Check in was smooth, very forthcoming staff. The rooms are specious, clean, well kept and many of them with a picture perfect view. Breakfast starts 06:30 and covers what you need and beyond. Throughout our stay the hotel staff was very service-minded. I will be returning.
This hotel offers all you need for a very pleasant stay. The staff is charming, the rooms are quiet and well decorated and the breakfast buffet offers all you need. Above all, the spa area is wonderful: changing rooms, relaxing space, two sauna’s and one steambath - perfect! Though within walking distance of the city center, I found the neighborhood lacking charm. Also, some facilities like water cooker and bathrobes/slippers would have been appreciated.
Stayed at the Melia for 3 nights in February. Hotel is of an excellent standard, rooms are clean, modern and spacious. What sold the hotel for me were the spa facilities, 2 saunas and a steam room which is great for relaxing in at the end of the day. Buffet breakfast was very extensive, plenty of choice and is served up until 1030 am. Hotel is right by the Park, it is about a 15 minute walk into the centre and 30 minutes walking to the main Railway station. Hotel is very quiet at night. The bar is also nice in the evening but avoid the Draft Beer, stick to the bottled beers instead.
I stayed here for one night on a business trip to central Düsseldorf with a colleague. We arrived late, and because the travel agent hadn't entered my Meliá Rewards number into the right field, the hotel hadn't identified me as gold status when allocating rooms earlier in the day. Therefore no upgraded room was available. Nevertheless the room was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. We had been on a train journey of almost 4 hours from Paris without any food. When we arrived at the hotel just after 10pm, we were hungry and the hotel restaurant cooked us both a fantastic Wienerschnitzel together with decent German beer. Even better, reception took our order while we took our baggage to our rooms, which minimised the waiting time. It was a fantastic start to a short stay in Germany. The hotel is walking distance from the centre, but with baggage we chose to use a taxi. I will definitely stay here again for any future trips to Düsseldorf. I subsequently didn't receive my Meliá Rewards points for the stay, but the hotel reception staff were fantastic when I e-mailed them, resolving the problem for me.
In a central position and just 10 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. A very clean and smart quality hotel. The bed was a little firm for me and the square pillows took some getting used to. Lovely buffet breakfast and tasty club sandwich in the evening. Very friendly, smiley and professional staff.
Very friendly and accommodating reception staff. We were checking in way too early, merely announcing we parked the car already in the hotel garage. However, we immediately were able to complete checkin and make use of our room and facilities early. The room was stylish and comfortable. The hotel has a modern touch all-over, and is scented with luxury home perfume all over the place. We did not make use of the breakfast arrangements, so would not be able to comment on that. We will definitely use this hotel again for our next stay in Dusseldorf.
great location, walking distance to Altstadt (centre) and Tonhalle (concert hall). Modern building, many international guests. Wellness area very popular, 2x hot sauna, steam bath + gym but no pool. parking on the street (free) or in hotel garage (paid parking).
Normally stay at the innside but tried here check in experience awful took to long was told we had been upgraded in fact we had not it was the room we paid for. The room was excellent but very hot. The spa area in good but the lack of water and towels was a let down. Check out again had to wait a while to do this. Will stay again the location is excellent
I travelled with my wife and my kid for a weekend. To be honest this hotel was my first option because it is a MELIA, and I already had plenty of wonderful experiences in hotels from this brand. Location was also excellent. The 2 nights I spent there were perfect, from the staff at the check in, to the quality of the room, the breakfast, the location, etc... so I can recommend it to anyone traveling to Duesseldorf. Price/quality ratio in my option is very good
