Very regrettable: this hotel is new, looks great and sits at a great location at the corner of the Hofgarten park. All fantastic. It has got a parking garage, spacious rooms and very friendly and helpfull staff. Though, all of that is - very unfortunately - of little use if there are those minor but rather nasty details that just have the potential to ruin your nights. First and foremost: The AC is not working. Not at all. With a modern building with lots of big glass windows and a room facing the sunshine most of the day, it's close to impossible to sleep at night because it is simply way too hot. Then, with that being said, the bedsheets are heavy and with feather pillows and blankets - makes you sweat immediately. The mattresses are old and worn out so your back starts to hurt within one hour. Other shortages: in our bathroom, nothing really did hold firmly. That would take a willing housekeeper and a screwdriver to fix. Nothing more and nothing less. Again, I truly regret having to state all this because this place has so much potential, first and foremost because of its friendly staff. From check-in to check-out, from housekeeping to bellmann - all very friendly. When we adressed all this at check-out, adequate courtesy action was taken. For the staff, I would return. Though, I guess this is a case where management needs to get its act together first and slow down on the cost-saving fantasies when it comes to room comfort and equipment reliability.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. A walk through the park next to it takes you to the Altstadt in a 10-15 minutes. Also, right near the hotel are a few tram routes taking you to different parts of the city. Dusseldorf public transport is amazing! The hotel itself is very business orientated - but this of course means everything is clean and of a good standard - the beds were so comfy. The service at reception is friendly too. It would be 5 star, if it were not for 3 factors. The shower pressure was quite poor, but having said that, the rest of the bathroom was nice. Complimentary wi-fi wasn't available guests in the rooms, which I found odd. First time I have had to pay in a hotel of this standard. Finally (yes I know it's Germany), but programmes on TV in English were hard to find. So on the whole I would recommend, but a few fixes to be made for me to consider returning.
Stayed here Dec 2017. Clean Modern rooms overlooking a nice park. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Cannot comment on the breakfast as just around the corner was a very nice cafe that serves a great breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel and I would book again. Quiet location but within walking distance to the main attractions ( xmas markets )
We had a very pleasant stay, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and a nice and clean room! I would definitely recommend this hotel. Only disadvantage was that the WIFI wasn't working and I didn't like the carpet and chairs in the breakfast area. They could use a modernization.
Visited for 2 nights and we loved Düsseldorf and will return. The young lady on check in was very efficient and the room was excellent, fab shower. The location was great and the breakfast was first class. This will be my hotel to book next time.
Very pleasant stay. Clean & modern rooms, quiet and friendly staff. Wait time at checkout and rather hard mattress would be on the down side and slippers would have been nice but I nevertheless really enjoyed my stay. All in all, would recommend the hotel for shorter business trips and single travellers (rooms probably a bit small for extended stays/couples). Location right at the Nothern end of the Hofgarten very beautiful; 10 minute walk through the park to reach Königsallee. Although the walk is beautiful it may become tiresome if performed more than once daily or when dragging a trolley behind you but if your means of transport is at least partially taxi, you will be alright; distances are short. Not many restaurants immediately close but both center or Nordstraße area not too far away; the more trendy harbor area a bit further. Went during weekdays and can imagine that crowd changes in the weekends (Düsseldorf‘s bridal shop mile is at the doorstep so be prepared for the inevitable bachelorette parties, there was certainly a large group checking out right before me, but both bachelorette and stag parties are hard to avoid on weekends in Düsseldorf anyway).
This was a really good hotel with a fantastically large room, the bathroom was particularly decent. However 2 gripes with the place. Firstly housekeeping came at approx 0800 both mornings, seems absurdly early. Secondly the check out was a pretty laborious process and the two people on the front desk got totally overwhelmed by a group and I had to wait for 20mins to check out
The hotel is modern, clean and has nice sized rooms. I stayed 3 nights in a single room. The breakfast is great with all fresh dishes, juices and fruits- yummy. The wellness area is small but modern and you have robes and towels included. They even open it outside the normal hours if you ask them to. I was amazed by the friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant. They were extremely helpful and uncomplicated. I will definitly come back.
I was lucky to have the 9. floor room with a city view which was nice. I enjoyed a quiet and spaceous room. The bed was hard but that's to my liking. I hit the gym on the second day, it's quite small but gives you the opportunity to do a little exercise. 15 minutes walk to the business area and shops through a beautiful garden. Quite ordinary breakfast, I enjoyed. I'd come back for sure.
the hotel is in a quiet part in between airport and center of the city. Good parking inside.Rooms are clean and full equipped but no more. For a business trip it offers what you need but for a city trip I would not stay here. Good breakfast in nice room.
