The guest house is located in a nice and quiet area of Northern Dublin, from where you can either walk to the city centre or take a bus. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, clean and quiet. The general atmosphere is very relaxing and charming, a bit old fashion, but this added to the "Dubliner's spirit" of the house. The staff is attentive and friendly and gave us nice advice. The breakfast is OK for such a guest house and the price. A very good address, highly recommanded.

Very quaint victorian style row homes in a residential area. A good 10 minutes on the bus to Dublin, so not a convenient spot if you don't have a car. Checked in around 10pm, and the pleasant lady behind the desk had done this a thousand times as she rattled off the "routine." She forgot to tel us that there were sitting areas in and a patio out back of the house. We learned this the day we left. We had a room with 2 single beds and a bathroom. Our room was over the front door, and as it was very warm and muggy, we left the windows open (no A/C). Each night, smokers would stand at the front door directly beneath our window, which of course flooded our room with cigarette smoke. Plus, lots of people talking on the street, garbage trucks in the morning waking us, and a lot of sirens. Wasn't the best sleep. Paid 12 pounds/person for a mediocre breakfast. Wasn't the best value for the money staying here, but it was ok for us.

Nice room and great breakfast. Some staff really good, one seems to need more training. She sold my husband a bottle of beer but didn’t know what a bottle opener was when he asked. She did however go looking and showed him a number of utensils to choose from, , one of which was a bottle opener.

Stayed one not on a last minute deal price very reasonable, quiet street, just outside city centre staff very friendly room spotless great nights sleep I would recommend this guest and I will be back again next time I'm in Dublin

On arrival there was a person sitting opposite the window with full view of the ground floor bedroom, the curtains had to closed for the duration of stay. In the morning there was work of drilling and heavy banging carried in the neighbouring room for more than two hours. The housekeeping walked straight into the room without waiting for a response. Shocking that this establishment let this room when there were plenty of other available properties in the area. Would not recommend.

Stayed here for just the one night with the squad. Location was great, not too central but close enough to get to the city centre easily. Nice facilities, welcoming staff and cosy, homely atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone

The rooms were clean 'tidy and reasonably spacious. There was a communal lounge with newspapers TV and refreshments to buy. Nearby there are shops pubs and take aways. There is a good bus service into the city. The beds were comfortable. We had breakfast the first morning but found it disappointing cooked foods were overdone and left too long poached eggs not up to scratch so ate elsewhere. Overall good value though

We spent a night here while in Dublin for a theatre trip with family, and were pleasantly surprised. Our room was very comfortable and clean and we had a great night's sleep. Every single member of staff was lovely - thy couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. They have a great set-up for breakfast, with everything laid out for you to help yourself, including big teapots and boiling water on tap. There was a good choice of breakfast items and it was all good quality. One tip - if you're in a room in the extended area at the back of the hotel, the hot water can take a little while to get through. Don't panic if the shower seems to be cold. After running the tap for a while, the shower worked brilliantly - really powerful and loads of hot water. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay here again if we were back in the area.

Great location, very peaceful road and really lovely "feel" to the property. Our room was very comfortable, spotless, warm and bright with all those little touches that make life easy eg an iron & ironing board which proved so helpful as were attending a wedding locally. Staff could not be better! They were just so very welcoming and helpful and any request was immediately met with "no problem"! Real hospitality from start to finish. There is a lovely lounge to sit and relax and a delightful garden.Although we didn't need parking we noticed it is available and covered by CCTV We were very pleased to have chosen Egans and plan to stay there again.Frequent buses to central Dublin are nearby and the area is very nice indeed.

This is an interesting bed and breakfast. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom were quite small. The area is beautiful. It was a bit far from the city so one has to be prepared to ride the bus, or take a cab to get to Dublin
