This is a cozy little cabin just 8 minutes from the Ark.

5. A Critical Review (helpful!)
It has a low loft with two twin beds, and a bedroom with vaulted ceiling and queen bed. It has a full kitchen (with all dishes included) with two dorm size refrigerators, as well as a full bathroom with small shower stall. Note that the wide angle lens used to capture the images of the inside of the cabin make it look slightly larger than it is.

The cabin is situated near the top of the property, which slopes down hill for 8 acres and ends at Boltz Lake. Guests are welcome to explore down to the lake and enjoy the beautiful nature scenery. Fishing is permitted at the lake with a fishing license that can be obtained at Walmart just 1.5 miles away. Within a short drive, a dock amd boat ramp are located on the opposite side of the lake. The property is in one sense secluded but, at the same time, only minutes from town and the highway.

Deer, ground hogs, and rabbits live on the property. We would love for you to enjoy them, while not scaring them! : )
...
All soaps, shampoos, blankets, linens, towels, and such are provided freshly cleaned for each guest. (We have put a lot of research into our linens. We do not think you will be disappointed in them.)

2. $50 CLEANING DISCOUNT
We are making available a $50 discount to anyone who would like to do their own cleaning on arrival. (But PLEASE read the rest of this paragraph before contacting about this.) Note, again, this is cleaning on arrival. If you are interested in this, you may request it. Here is how it works, you take the cabin as it was left by the last guests, changing your own linens out and any other cleanup you wish to do. We provide all that is needed for this in linens, towels, cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc. Many times, all this requires for guests is changing out the bed sheets and a quick wipe down of counters and shower. (Prior guests usually have placed their laundry in the laundry basket, which can simply be placed in a plastic bag and set on the porch for pickup.) We are seeking ways to keep our costs down for those guests who deem it worthwhile.
We have learned from our years of doing this that our guests are almost always very clean. So, we thought we could offer to pass some savings off to our guests in this way. If the cabin was to be very messy on your arrival, we will up to refund to $80.
....
Also, the Creation Museum is 40 minutes away, and between the Creation Museum and the cabin is Big Bone Lick State Park. The Cincinnati zoo and other attractions are also around.
As a side recommendation, if this is your first visit to the Ark Encounter, we do recommend more than a day, if you are able. The Ark is so large, it can be overwhelming to take it all in in a day.

3. OTHER CABINS
The property currently has two other cabins that rents out as well (see pictures for cabin next door). If you are interested in booking them together, here are the links to the other two cabins:

4. NO PET EXPLANATION
FOR THOSE WITH ANIMALS: "According to recent research, between 10 and 20% of the population worldwide are allergic to household pets such as dogs and cats. Any allergy-sufferer will know, it’s a long process to transform a property from pet-friendly to pet-free, as dander can remain long after pets depart." (From Lodgify) Our facilities are pet-free and we ask that anyone who desires to bring an animal seek out one of the openly animal-friendly rentals in our area so that those with severe allergies can come without endangering their comfort or their health. Thank you!
5. A HELPFUL REVIEW (a critique)
J.M. gave this review that will help any future guests know what it was like for someone to stay here, including some things that were surprising to them:
"We enjoyed our stay in the cozy Cabin. It was clean and really cute. I think the listing could better reflect accommodations to say two small dorm refrigerators and loft is most comfortable for children. Adults had to crawl into bed as there is no head space. It is truly a loft. The beds were comfortable. Two adults and children would be very comfortable. I thought the couch was a sleeper sofa because the listing read sleeps 6. The bedroom has a queen size bed, the sofa is comfortable for sleeping one (and it is comfortable to sleep on), and the loft has two comfortable twins on the floor that requires you to crawl in ( a problem for claustrophobics). Our stay was a good one and we felt safe."
