Quiet location is the key here. Unfortunately let down by no air conditioning in rooms. In room facilities include tea/coffee/kettle, fridge,tv (no English stations though). Stayed here with Leger. If you are purchasing meal package in hotel this is an evening buffet 3 course meal excluding drinks. Soup with buffet salad followed by vegetables with chicken, fish ending with dessert. Free WiFi in room although we found it very slow at times, maybe due to guests on the system all at once. Breakfast buffet includes cereal, bread, croissants, meats, limited choice of cooked food (scrambled eggs and meatballs),yogurt and tea/coffee. Average rating of this review due to no air conditioning making the room hot.
Good points Wifi in room 111 was very good Free sparkling mineral water in room (but not in fridge) Tea and coffee making facilities in room Shower was fine - soap dispenser on wall Very little traffic noise which was good as there was no air conditioning Bad points Very hot in room and there was no air conditioning Pillows felt more like a duvet. Very soft, not good if you are used to a firm pillow. We had a fridge, but it was not a mini bar. Breakfast I thought was poor. Only boiled eggs, no fruit bowl, no fresh pastries. Food in restaurant was fairly non descript, tasted better than it looked. Presentation is everything. Chocolate cream, jelly or fruit for dessert.
Nice hotel with usual comforts. Room was nice, polite friendly helpful staff. My 50 odd passengers liked it even though it wasn't in the heart of the town. Overall it was a nice place to stay with food i liked.
A group of friends and I stayed in the ACHAT Premium when all the city center hotels were booked for a music festival. I was very happy with our choice after exploring the surrounding area in the suburbs, which included a cool ferry ride and castle combo. Our rooms were basic but clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful during our whole stay. A small bar proved useful for a few members of our group and all of us were pleased with the breakfast buffet. I would actually consider staying at the ACHAT Premium again and not in the city center when I return to Dresden.
To be fair we didn't book this hotel, it was part of our tour package. However we were not surprised to find it was a long way from the centre of Dresden, but we understand there are trams that will get you there. The hotel is in a residential area and there is nothing around or places or bars to walk to in the evening, nor has the hotel got any garden or outside space to sit and enjoy a drink on a summer evening. The bar area inside is small and hot, Our room would have been comfortable, if there had been air con or even a fan. But it was stuffy and too hot with no air. The fridge hardly worked. As for our pillows personally they were only fit for the rubbish. The food was ok if you don't mind re-cooked frozen food, which because there was no other cafes/restaurants near we were stuck with. Breakfast was a little bit better. No english tv channels Plus plus side was free wifi,
Standard Hotel. Clean with usual shower gel / shampoo and a minibar, which all helps after a long journey. Polite and helpful staff. Dresden itself has beautiful architecture. Overall a comfortable and pleasant stay. Would recommend to others.
I booked this hotel as I saw they offered free parking and free breakfast. The room is OK, they have good WIFi and a very good breakfast. It's a few mins walk to the tram that takes you into the old city. The staff are very friendly. My only complaint was that the 1 TV station CNN in English had no reception.
We had a really nice day - and night at this hotel. Every minute there was a pleasure. The hotel are a bit far from the center of Dresden, but the value are in the setting. You feel home with the friendly staff....that's it. Clean rooms, easy access, parking in front (free), not the least to mention a great breakfast. Good money spend. Thank you Ramada.
The Ramada, part of a chain, suited our purposes perfectly as it was in the same residential neighbourhood as our friend's apartment who acted as our host for the four days we spent in Dresden. He collected us most days and showed us around this lovely city. One day we took a tram number 4 into Dresden. It's a short walk to the main road and the tram stop and about 20 minutes into the centre of the city. Convenient if you prefer to stay in a quiet neighbourhood but not if you want to walk out in the evening to restaurants, bars or attractions. The hotel is not luxurious by any means but very comfortable and clean with friendly staff. Our room was of a good size with plenty of drawers and hanging space and a TV, although I don't think many English channels were available but that didn't bother us as we were out with our friends every evening. The Wifi reception was good. The breakfast buffet was very good with a generous selection of muesli, delicious bowls of yogurt, hams, cheeses and nice German bread and rolls. A poster on the wall declared (in German): "At Ramada Hotels, meat is our vegetable"! For me as a semi vegetarian, that was a bit hard to take but I enjoyed the cheeses. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel. All in all we were very satisfied with the Ramada, although obviously it wouldn't suit people who want to be in the centre of things.
49€ for the night! Big room, had a fridge, which we as Australians are used to (we took out the mini bar contents and put our own in). We had dinner as it is a little far to the city to walk and we arrived late! 50€ got us 2 schnitzels, 2 500ml Beers and 2 200ml cokes! The service was friendly and the food and beer super tasty!!!HighlRecomment
