My stay at the Mill Park Hotel was very good. The service was excellent, my room was beautiful, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the brown bread that hey served. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Donegal!
We stayed for two nights in a large family room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is just 5 minute walk to the town and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. There is also a swimming pool which the kids loved. The grounds of the hotel are well looked after.
We have just returned from a wonderful stay in the Mill Park Hotel. The rooms were large with extremely comfortable beds and lovely modern decor. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I will certainly be returning.
First visit was around 03 or 04 and it was great. Second visit this year was a little less exciting, place has had some renovations, but who picked the brown and purple stripy carpet? Bedrooms are ok, the pool, is neglected, cold in changing room and run down, pool itself needs an upgrade. Bar food was ok, menu not great but quality was good Best thing is the breakfast, superb service and food. The location and grounds are also nice, a short walk to donegal town. I wont be in a rush back, but generally an average place which was excellent. All the staff are friendly and helpful.
Stayed for a family wedding. On first impressions this is a lovely hotel. The rooms are bright and spacious and as a wedding venue it is very impressive. Check in was fast and efficient but we found it abrupt and matter of fact. No chit chat or warmth from the receptionist. The room was lovely but the heat was stifling. No air conditioning so we just had to make do with the tiny crack the window opened (which makes little difference on a sunny August day). We booked three of us in our family room but only towels for two people so we had to ask for a third set. Lack of attention to detail! Our child was the last to get her meal at the wedding reception we had to ask three times as we could see all the other children were eating. Poor little mite was starving and given that she was a flowergirl I thought this was bad form. We had a good nights sleep, beds were comfy although pillows were hard. Breakfast was a calamity. Self service which was fine, food was good, but no one came to ask about tea/coffee or toast. Twice we had to ask for these before we got them. No one came to ask if we wanted more or if everything was ok. Staff looked like breakfast was just a big hassle. Would not return here to stay.
The rooms are clean but dated, there was no iron or board just a trouser press, part of the cabinets were falling apart, there was no robes provided and the accessories that they did leave were cheap basic shampoo etc but the worst part was not having any hot water the following morning to wash it was reported through to the reception and I was laughed at and said sorry you can't get your shower the receptionist will be in at 8am, she never contacted us we had to wash in cold water and when I raised this upon checkout all I got was oh yes sorry there is a problem with the hot water maintenance are looking into it not what I expect from a 4* hotel and paying £178 for one night bed and breakfast.
A superb hotel, however a little pricey... Our family room was excellent, spacious and relaxing, the bathroom was a little tired. The food in the bar is lovely, wholesome and delicious. Service in the bar for food and drinks was excellent from all staff. Breakfast was also excellent. The selection on offer and the wonderful service was enjoyed by all the family. We will certainly look forward to our next stay at this hotel
Went into the Mill Park for a 2 night stay with my 8yr old daughter and my mum. We had a lovely relaxing time and made good use of the hotel facilities -used leisure facilities and had our evening meal both nights in bar. Food beautiful and breakfast fab. Only thing lacking for us was that there was no music in the evening but overall would have no hesitation in going back. Staff very friendly and helpful
Overall this was a lovely hotel just in the outskirts of the town. Food in the bar was particularly good. Besides the pool there was nothing else there for kids, would expect there would be a games room or something similar to keep kids entertained.
Fantastic survice! Wonderful room, excellent bathroom. Restaurant was delicious. Gym well stocked. Very clean and well kept through out. Location to the town was great- very easy walk. Only negatives=Bed was too hard, pillows to thick and the breakfast was in un-imaginative.
