The Spring Valley Inn is a great location to be close to Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin. It is an older property, but is well maintained and clean. The staff is very nice, and helpful with directions and suggestions. It's a one story motel, and they do serve a complementary breakfast. We would stay here again.

We stay here every year and find it very comfortable, friendly, clean and a good value. Rate includes a modest but delicious breakfast. The swimming pool is one of the best in any first class hotel. Lovely grounds, well tended.

This property is an excellent location and option in Spring Green. Yes, the rooms are basic and small, but very well maintained. This is a quiet area with birds and flowers. A nice breakfast is provided along with a very comfortable bar area. Excellent value. We would go back to this venue without hesitation.

The inn looks very Frank Lloyd Wright and looks nice from the outside. The hot breakfast was better than the average hotel breakfast, and check in/check out went quickly. Unfortunately, the rooms are very damp, and there was definitely a musty smell. Running the air conditioner helped some, but it was still unpleasant. The bathrooms are tiny and dated, and the in-room coffee maker was dirty. We walked down to the pool after hearing it was larger than the typical hotel pool. It IS a little larger, but there must have been some plumbing issue that day because on the way to the pool, outside the men's locker room, there was a very strong sewer smell. There was no visible leakage or backup in the main hallway, but the foul odor was enough to drive us away. I'm sure that can't be the typical situation, so perhaps I just had an unlucky experience here.

Pros: Very close to both American players Theatre and Taliesen Clean rooms ..decor highlighting prairie school Quiet location Downsides: Very dated not in a good way Worst shower in 60 nights this year-no power, cramped, lukewarm and tiny No light unless fan turned on Uses outdated manual keys forcing you to make extra trip to front desk to return No king bed option so room is cramped Breakfast is poor with few healthy choices

We discovered this lovely, friendly, and conveniently located hotel right here on TripAdvisor, noticed the great reviews, and then off to their informative and nicely designed website, where we booked a two-night stay to tour this lovely part of Wisconsin's driftless area. Our high expectations were exceeded. This is a very well-tended hotel run by very nice people. First, upon arrival, you notice the grounds are beautiful with a nice mix of trees and open spaces for general privacy and ample parking. The Reception area, as they call it, is nicely and efficiently laid out with the front desk being the focal point of course, along with a mini store area with various treats and sundries for sale. The dining area is nearby where a very nice complimentary breakfast, including both hot and cold offerings, is served between 6:45 and 9:45 AM. The bar area is just past the front desk and is light and airy with nice views of the landscape and an exit to an outdoor patio with a fire pit and seating. The very nice setting inside and out is inviting. The rooms are quiet, spotless, comfortable, well supplied, and decorated. The common areas as well, such as the nice indoor pool area and meeting spaces, are well cared for. The hotel is also one level, easy to enter and exit, and with the ample parking that surrounds most of the complex, your vehicle will be no more than a stone's throw from an entryway in most cases. Lastly, the location could not be better. Located about 2-3 miles outside of Spring Green, it is rural and quiet, but close to lots. Within a twenty-minute drive, you have the Frank Lloyd Wright complex (the hotel itself reminds you of his style), House on the Rock, at least 2 golf courses, wineries, farmer markets, beautiful countryside, and other communities such as Black Earth, Mazomanie, Lone Rock, Arena, Sauk City, and of course Spring Green with all of its arts and crafts and food /beverage establishments. This hotel sort of took us back in time, in a nice comforting way, which comports with the general feeling you experience while visiting this beautiful part of Wisconsin. A great home base for touring the area. We will be back in the fall no doubt. Check it out!

The buildings on the property are modeled after Taliesin, the Frank Lloyd Wright home which my husband and I were touring. Very striking. The gardens are superb!! Lots of love and care goes into the flower gardens and bird houses. My husband spotted many varieties of birds through the huge windows while eating in the breakfast room. Breakfast was satisfying and delicious!! This is a family owned property and it is beautifully maintained. All the staff members are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and inviting. The surrounding hills and valleys of Wisconsin are gorgeous. We would definitely return to Spring Valley Inn in the future and we are recommending the inn to family and friends!!!

My sister and I had an opportunity to visit Spring Green and based on beautiful pictures and amenities, we chose Spring Valley Inn. We had a great stay...loved the spacious rooms, the lounge (with a bar and desserts), the complimentary breakfast and friendly, helpful people. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the lounge watching the birds and looking at the beautiful flowers. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

I was in charge of lining up a place for our family reunion and stumbled upon the site for the Spring Valley Inn. This was our 12th reunion in the past 21 years and, to a person, the whole family agreed this was the best ever. From the beginning, Jessica was absolutely the best to work with. She was so accommodating, even to bringing us a bbq grill from her home for us to use. The breakfast was good, I would say very comparable to a Hampton Inn and they had a VERY nice bar. The bar was run by Audrey and she was an extreme delight. I would never stay anywhere else in Spring Green. It is located about 4 miles outside of Spring Green but very close to the American Players Theatre and golf course. Lovely, lovely place.

When I researched places to stay near Spring Green, WI I immediately fell in love with just the pictures of Spring Valley Inn. After uncovering this inn was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright I was hooked. My hubby and I stayed here only one night during our 14 day road trip, but we certainly are glad we included this inn as part of our memorable trip. The huge room with king bed was extremely clean and contained all the architectural furniture and décor expected from the architect. Even the interesting lights in the ceiling from placements and how the lights turn on were unique. Breakfast watching the birds feeding in the garden was extremely pleasant. Happily our overnight stay was within our low budget nightly rate. We slept like logs and awoke to a beautiful day.
