I only stayed at the hotel for a very short stay on business travels. The hotel pick up from the airport was late and the person I was trying to call did not speak English so it was hard to communicate but he did pick me up eventually so I was not bothered. The hotel stay was fine: the bedroom was okay, clean-ish, the bathroom was basic. There was a TV which worked and the wifi worked as well. Room service was fine, the food was ok. The rest of the hotel was very quiet but a bit dirty. I had a very early flight the next day and me along with a couple of other travellers had to wait a good half an hour before the driver came. Thankfully no one missed their flights. Otherwise, I would stay again for a short stay in Dhaka. Thanks to the nice staff.
This is really a place where I wouldn’t come again. It’s not particularly clean and there are too many mosquitos around especially at night time, in your room. Didn’t have the same issue in other hotels. Apart from that, the positives are it’s cheap, close to the airport, and close to eateries.
We missed our flights on route home. The staff here were extremely helpful in the late hours. Very grateful. Rooms were spacious and ventilation was good. Great if your not a fussy traveller on a budget. Thanks garden residence.
The only positive point was that the hotel was nearby the airport and the breakfast served was ok. Negative points are: The beds were in a very poor condition, mattress made squeaky noise every time you moved. The bedding was very old and needs replacing together with the beds. The bathroom needs modernising. Toilet flush wasn't working. No toilet rolls had to ask the staff to bring some. The AC wasn't working properly. The entire hotel needs to be refurbished and made into a modern hotel that can cater for tourists from all over the world. We won't be coming here again if it stays in the current condition thats for sure.
Hotel is in closed proximity of airport which is the only good point for the hotel. The rooms are ok and food is not good in taste. Its better to have ur meal in nearby restaurant. Service is not upto the mark.
The rooms are standard average, nothing fantastic. The service is brilliant and everything is quite pleasant. Food is real good as well. The airport is very close, within walking distance even. Area seemed quiet and not too busy.
I was passing through Dhaka and needed a spot to lay my head down instead of waiting in the airport for 10 hours. Look, I know that you tend to get what you pay for. I've written over and over about hotels around the world. But, if you're going to call this a three-star hotel, I get to comment on what I think a three-star hotel should be. And this was nowhere close to what I think a three-star hotel should be. Of course, it's possible that I was in the only bad room in the place, but that's unlikely. Check-in was okay. Just felt like I was inconveniencing them. The location was pretty easy to find -- GPS got me there in no time (like earlier in the trip, I had to direct the driver on where to go). It's only 1.5 mi. from the airport and convenient. They do have a shuttle service back over there. But, it cost me a simply ridiculous 500 taka ($6) to get there. All my yelling and screaming fell on deaf ears. I dropped my bags off and headed over to George's (claim: "NYC in Dhaka" -- um, not really) to get a bite before taking some rest. This was a horrible room. It appeared the bathroom hadn't received any attention since the 80s: no shower curtain, shower-head spraying everywhere, sink stopped up, dirty floor. In a word: horrific. The room itself was unseemly. The paint was peeling and there were marks, cracks and repairs all over the walls. The bed was hard and worthless. In a word: pathetic. Only plus: moderate WiFi in the rooms. Having just come from Bhutan, this was a welcomed 'luxury.' Again, I know it's cheap and you often get what you pay for. Staying 150 nights a year in hotels, I can comment. And my comment is that there are infinitely cheaper three-star hotels that are infinitely better. Think Thailand -- $30 gets you a good room, $40 gets you a great one. Here, I thought I was paying for a three-star hotel. What I got was a 1. At best.
This hotel is clean and rooms are bigger than 5 star hotels very near to airport and transport was good friendly staff one regret although the spray provided there was a present of mosqitos in the room.
Landing at midnight, I went for this hotel because they had a complemtary shuttle to the airport and ( supposedly ) close to the airport. On my booking I had given details of my flights but no one was there upon arrival. I called and was told that i would be picked thirty minutes later. Fair enough but I didn't want to watch t so took a cab ( cost me at least the normal price ...first time here ) which didn't know the area so ...40 minutes drive instead of 20 which was still too far for me. Upon arrival I was greeted by a nice receptionist and a porter. I was shown to my room which was clean, spacious as well as the bathroom. The downside was the noise: could hear the phone ringing, conversations going on. Breakfast was ok but don't expect a large buffet. I was supposed to stay at the same place four days later due to me late departure but decided to cancel as it is not conveniently located for my purpose.
staffs friendly... Complimentary pick-up and drop at the airport..... Very close to the airport. It's important when you're arriving at night in Bangladesh. Hotel is secured well with several security guards.... 24hr Food but quality average... Rooms/ Toilets needs little renovate...
