Great location right on the lake, nice private beach with water activities available. Very clean and well kept hotel with friendly staff.
It’s a beautiful property with amazing amenities and location. Staf is hit or miss. We talked to someone Monday on the phone that was very accommodating. The lady that checked us in was another story. The people in the room above us we so loud we were up at 6 listening to them,run, jump and scream. It was our “mini moon” as my husband doesn’t get much time off from clinical and the noise was the most frustrating.
Great location and wonderful breakfast. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice hotel! It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the morning breakfast had a variety of great food and drinks. Great lake view...I could only imagine when the snow is gone how much more beautiful it would have been.
the room was great. the big glass shower was amazing. not to mentiont the big window door that led to our patio and down to the lake.
We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel. We would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was varied enough for everyone in our party. Our stay was brief so didn't have time to experience much. Nice beach-front room!
We were in town to visit family. Second stay at the Lodge. Hot face towels are offered at the check in desk, polite staff. Tranquil music greets you when you enter your room. The view from our private balcony is magnificent. Will stay again! Only quirk to the stay was the goofy sounding fridge in our room.
I needed a place to stay for a last minute trip to Detroit Lakes and had heard this was the nicest place to stay in the area. I was not disappointed. Large rooms, friendly staff. Sheets a bit cheap and a bit short. Nice view of the lake and the breakfast was tasty and not the usually run of the mill, some sort of baked bread/eggs/cheese/ham thing wa the main entree. My dinner meal of a pizza left a little to be desired, basic heated up frozen - but I've had much much worse, last time at a main line Hilton. I'm not sure I could justify their full price, but the last minute price was a great value. (only 6 other cars in the lot)
The room was great and the view of the lake was unbeatable. The noisy trains couldn't be helped but I had hoped for better insulation to drown a lot of that out. They advertise 'full' breakfast and they had a very nice assortment but no better than any other reputable hotel chain and they had nothing for diabetics. I had hoped for a restaurant like the Holday Inn next door offered. Otherwise, it was great and we would stay there again. I would bring my own food next time.
