Nice room to stay the night in after returning from Vegas. We were jet lagged and not in the mood to drive so this was perfect. Also they had a cheaper park n fly with a shuttle to the airport which made it very convenient

We enjoyed our recent stay with Americinn. Very good breakfast. Our room was clean and nice. The beds were comfortable. The staff was nice. Pool was extremely comfortable. Great value. Would stay with them again.

We enjoyed our recent stay with AmericInn for 3 nights. The grounds & lobby were clean & well kept. Our room was nice and clean thanks to Janet. The beds were comfortable. Their location was convenient. After we were checked in the staff saw we were older and changed our rooms to downstairs. That was nice of them to do. Any questions we had everyone helped us with immediately, of course we appreciated that. Would stay with them again!

Some issues, none major, but: Door from parking lot farthest from office was unlocked although there was a key pad. Pizza boxes left in hallway Housekeeping turned off the electric power to my laptop ... Big FAIL TV in breakfast room was set to Fox News, probably the most divisive cable television channel there is. Friday newspapers remained on Saturday and Sunday, apparently the staff doesn't realize that newspapers do publish on weekends

My family of 11 stayed here over a long weekend, and found it to be an excellent option for our needs! Great customer service - especially by James and Julie - made our group feel very welcome, and made us feel that we were their priority. Pool was extremely comfortable - good for either lap swimming, or for our kids to play in. No experiences with smoke, cold pool, or unfriendly staff as some other reviews listed here for this hotel. I have no reservations about recommending this as the best airport area hotel for your lodging dollars. Great value.

Stayed here for one night with friends as I was going to be flying out the next morning and them driving home. Location was easy to get to and very close to the airport and easy to get downtown when we went to visit. Despite the location to the airport, near heard any planes. Rooms, hotel and pool were all clean. Staff was ok, not over friendly but not rude. There is a shuttle to the airport (stops by one of the off site parking lots before the airport).

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend in Des Moines. Unfortunately, our first impression of the hotel was terrible. The employee at the front desk seemed extremely less than pleased to be there, and I don't think she smiled once. She asked for my ID and after looking at it for a minute, she went to the back room and reappeared with someone I assumed to have more authority than her. He looked at my ID and then looked at my boyfriend and said, "Are you 21?". He said yes. (he is 23) The man wanted to see his ID even though he wasn't even the one renting the room. My boyfriend had to go outside and get his ID. The man said, "Our policy is that you have to be 21 years or older to rent a room". Both of us are older than 21, but I cannot find anywhere on the website where it states you have to be 21 or older. I felt like both of these employees thought we were going to trash the hotel. I still am confused as to why we both had to be 21 in order to rent a room. I would have been OK with this situation if the employees would have explained the situation more, and had been much more friendly. Your employees definitely need to work on their customer service.

This is a great place. Great location. And really clean, nicely appointed rooms. The breakfast is also excellent. The beds are comfortable. Overall, this place is really nice and comfortable and I really enjoyed staying there.

After reading reviews I expected the worst from this hotel, being moved rooms, bedbugs, people touching my stuff, etc. None of which happened. Unfortunately I did stay there while my room had a broken light, a nonworking TV, little water pressure (only with hot water), A ice cold pool, a (non existing?) hot tub or possibly a locked sauna (before the pool hours were up), a malfunctioning vending machine, gross breakfast, and a worker who swiped my card saying my "reservation was denied" when it went through fine the first time as confirmed by another worker the next day. I was there May 23rd 2017 for a concert for my boyfriends birthday, probably shouldve gotten another hotel since this one is expensive ($129) for something much more like a motel. Honestly only stayed a day so im not super upset by it, just hopefully this helps anyone planning a trip of being in a hotel more than one day.

We stayed here for a tournament as a team. Our room smelled of smoke we could not get rid of the smell even after having the window open all day and night. Some of the rooms in our block has pee stained sheets, ripped comforters, garbage still on the floor after being cleaned. The employees did not wear gloves when handling the breakfast items. Most of the breakfast items were stored in tupperware containers and reused. We didn't eat breakfast there. Small hotel and no elevators if you are on the 2nd floor.
