Great hotel with all the amenities. The price was right too! The room was clean and the breakfast was plentiful.Check in/out was easy and fast. The hotel was full and the staff accommodated well. I will be returning!
We utilized AmericInn's "sleep and fly" program. The hotel uses the airport's shuttle. The shuttle driver arrived ahead of our scheduled 5:30 AM pickup time, but assured us we had time to enjoy a light breakfast that the hotel desk agent had set out. We had a coffee spill when we were ready to leave,and again, the hotel desk agent assured us to go ahead and she would clean up the spill. Thank you. While we were gone DesMoines had had a significant snowfall, so much so, that when we arrived in hotel parking lot, there was a path shoveled out between each of the parked cars. We will be utilizing AmericInn's "sleep and fly" service whenever we fly out of DesMoines. Thank you again.
We stayed here for our early flight out. We were gone for a week so the free parking at the hotel basically paid for the room. Shuttle was quick and easy and runs 24/7. The staff at the hotel was ok but not great which also goes for the room. All in all decent for the price.
We booked two rooms. Mine was fine but my mother’s room had a couple problems. The staff dropped everything and fixed it without hesitation. They did everything to correct our concerns. I was very impressed at the level of professionalism and courtesy they illustrated.
If you are looking to stay near the airport, I highly recommend this hotel. They do offer shuttle service to and from the airport (it is a shared service with a few other hotels). Check in was fast and friendly. Lobby and rooms were clean and updated. Bathroom and shower was clean and comfortable. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was decent as well. Only slight downside was I had an issue with the heating/AC keeping the room either too warm or too cold. Bed was also too firm for my liking and I woke up with a very sore shoulder.
Management reached out to me after my review on this site as at the time they were remodeling and I did not know that at the time when I had left a review..Jennifer contacted me and had bent over backward to make right for my satisfaction. The service is OUTSTANDING and for a hotel to go out of their way to make their guests happy deserves a new review in my book (This is the first time someone had reached out to see what they could do to make me happy). Even though due to my husbands OT time, we were not able to take the special deal that was offered to us. I so appreciate and am very humbled by the outpour of the satisfaction of the management of this hotel the customer service I have received and I will be planning on staying there again when we make it up to this area. The Customer service outshines and is very much appreciated!!! Thank you, Jennifer!! They really go out of their way to make things right and their customers happy. ( I did not know how to update my last review and change/delete it, so I made a new one) The date would not go back far enough but we actually stayed on Oct 2016.
James at the front counter was polite and courteous to me and my family at all times that we had questions. He addressed concerns that I had while I was visiting family while I was in town with my family.
The hotel is right across from the DSM airport, has good reliable shuttle service. There is absolutely nothing around the hotel and no restaurant, so if you want to have dinner, you'll have to call for delivery (very limited) or have your own car. It's a basic budget hotel, clean, and very friendly front desk staff. Room was basically furnished and very clean, bed was comfortable. They do a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning. For one night this met my needs, especially if you have an early flight out.
We made arrangements to spend the night as our flight left at :5:30 am. James checked us in and made arrangements for us to leave our vehicle at a nominal fee until we returned from our vacation. The staff was so friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable, we made arrangements to stay a night upon our return as our flight was getting in very late. He made notes in our reservation letting other staff know we would be late and not to cancel. Wonderful place and will not only tell others about it, but will stay there again.
Used this hotel many times night before morning air flight. Always clean and extremely quiet. Hotel builds walls with cinder blocks not 2x4 like a house and most other hotels. Makes all the difference in solid feeling and quiet.
