I stayed in the Deptford NJ location May to June. The Front desk employees were so warm, friendly and very very helpful!!!!! They accommodated In every way they could. I would especially like to thank the the General Manager Deven and Front Desk Supervisor Sheneke and Employee Gary For their Kind and warm thoughtfulness during my long extended stay due to my house fire. If you are looking for these kind of amenidies then look no further Ive already found your place for you!!! If thats not what your seeking then happy hunting cause I doubt you will be happy any place else.

Quick girlfriends' getaway. Comfortable bed, spacious room. Continental breakfast. Walking Distance to Uno's. Wish they had a jacuzzi. Conveniently located near Deptford Mall and close to BB&T Pavilion (Camden) and Philly. Overall good stay.

We booked a room on our wedding night, we showed up to the counter still in suit and wedding dress, and they turned us away saying they had overbooked when we had reservations over a month prior. Meanwhile, someone was checking in right next to us. They sent us to another residence inn 20 minutes away and the girl checking us in was wearing Uggs and a bright pink north face. Extremely unprofessional and extremely poor service.

I stayed at this hotel for a wedding a few months back. The hotel was nice; I am a Gold Elite Marriot Rewards member so know their properties well, and this one was certainly up to par. However, I was disappointed when rust buildup in the iron in my room destroyed a $100+ white shirt immediately before the wedding ceremony. I went to the front desk to tell them about this and request another iron. They were very apologetic and gave me a brand new iron - I certainly appreciated that. The employee at the front desk gave me the name and number of two managers to contact to hopefully be at least partially compensated for the ruined shirt (even after dry cleaning, there are rust stains on it). What really bothered me was that after multiple calls, messages, and conversations with a manager (who told me she would get back to me), the hotel has done nothing to make it right. I replaced the shirt on my own dime, but would even appreciate a partial refund of the points that I used to stay in the hotel. I have been a loyal Marriott customer, and really am surprised at the lack of customer service. I seriously recommend checking the iron in the room before ruining your clothing.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The Rooms were clean and well maintained. The only issue was the Breakfast, the selection was poor, and the watery Eggs was a disappointment. During the evening gathering the Staff was interactive.

Make sure you check the location of your room and whether it is adjacent to SH 42 (North-South Freeway). This is a major route into Philadelphia. There are a limited number of rooms on this side of the hotel so it is a must to request a different room. Rooms 100-108, 200/208, 300-308 (even number rooms) face the busy, noisy highway. I was very disappointed that I was assigned to this room. I'm a Silver Elite member and would think the desk clerk would have assigned me a better room. I asked the next morning and expressed my disappointment, especially when I was told the hotel has a lot of other rooms available in quieter locations. Other than room noise this hotel was more than adequate is every other category. The rating is strictly based upon the highway noise I experienced.

Being a Marriott member I expected different. The room was clean but kitchen was something that made me very upset.Other then that there was a few pieces of things on the floor under the tables but I didn't seem to care because I had brought my slippers. My wife wanted to cook and the room that I had purchased only had two eyes on the stove and microwave no oven. We purchased the room because of the kitchen but it doesn't tell you only the two bedrooms have ovens on the website. So my wife had to change what she was cooking for me for my birthday. Then the cork screw was broken in two pieces left in the drawer. So I could drink wine with my meal I didn't even call down to ask for anything else after I asked for a frying pan that the girl swore to me was in the room which it wasn't. The Internet was bad I couldn't work on my laptop to see my family out of town or do my job.

When I arrived at the front desk to check-in, I was asked for a picture ID: this was a first..... it was unnerving. (And we are Gold members.) The hotel is old and worn. The elevators are tiny. The carpets are frayed and our 9-yr old pointed out that the edge around the tub was cracked and black (the caulk was cracked and mold growing in the gap). There were hairs on our bathroom floor (not ours), dirt on the edges of the rugs, tons of accumulated dust behind the bedside tables (don't let the kids drop anything), and the top of the frig had drink rings and dust on top (the frig is not tall - I'm 5'9" and saw the top passing by). The oven is very outdated/low-end with open coils. It felt like a visit to my grandmothers house, if my grandmother allowed children to run down the halls yelling and had given up on cleaning. This place is definitely not what we have come to expect from a Residence Inn.

All of the reviews below sum up the hotel. I'm currently in temporary quarters in another Residence Inn that's 9 years old and frequent National Harbor RI at least once a year. There's no comparison. This RI is drfinitely a throw back. Honestly if it were clean and kept in prestine condition, that actually might be pretty cool.

I recently spent some time at the Residence Inn Deptford and found that it was only ok. I really like this chain of hotels, but this one didn't really live up to my expectations. The location is easily accessible from the highway, which is great. On the other hand, my room was close enough to the road to hear loud vehicles throughout the night. This wasn't a problem for me, but would bother a light sleeper. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious. However, I found several long hairs lying on various countertops and tables, and on the bathroom floor. I've stayed in many hotels, and expect to find one or two hairs around, but these could have easily been cleared away while the room was being cleaned before my arrival. The price is very low compared to the surrounding area, and another bonus is that you can be in downtown Philadelphia in less than 30 minutes without traffic. All in all, I cannot give it more than a 3 of 5.
