The room is clean but older, dark and dingy. Now I understand why the price was $88 per night. I would not choose the DTC property for a future stay.
Also, my interaction with the manager that was very unsettling.
Housekeeping protocol was not explained to me at check in. Day three of my stay I inquired about it in a call to the front desk because noone had come by to clean yet. As I was talking to the front desk agent Thomas, I could hear someone in the background giving him answers and instructions to my questions. I asked who that person was. He said, his boss. I asked to speak with her. She told me that housekeeping is rendered every third day, but I could not have service done because they do not do same day service requests. Also, it had snowed, and she told me she was not going to make her girls go out into the weather to do the cleaning. I said to her, "Isn't that the job they signed up for?" She said, yes, but she bet that I wouldn't want to do it. We exchanged a few more words. She was very rude and not at all accommodating to me as a guest. Since we had this exchange, she said she could put me out of the hotel. I said nothing else because my I would allow my review to speak and reachout to Corporate and so I asked if I could at least get clean towels. Thomas brought them over.
I finished my stay in Denver at Residence Inn in Greenwood Village. The property there is newer, and the staff is professional AND accommodating to the guest. DTC management is terrible.
