First room was very musty/mouldy smelling and after one night I had to move. Next room was fine. Everything from bedding to infrastructure is a bit tired and worn. No breakfast included, but available for extra charge. Pool was nice, grounds attractive. Shower head was lower than my head and I'm not a tall person. Location is fantastic and I've stayed here before because of that.

Our greeting was good and quick, and it’s close to lots of things in Sanur with easy access to the beach. The staff were all very nice, and the restaurant staff were just lovely, our problem here was that we had two cockroaches in our room and when we had asked if it was possible to be moved to a different room we were told that they weren’t dangerous and gave us mosquito repellent to spray at them. The thought of cockroaches crawling on us had us up all night, so we didn’t sleep.

Front desk lacked a bit of friendliness and at check out the clerk was asleep on the couch. Since I had paid the night before and my taxi was waiting I just left the key and left. Cleaning and ground staff however are very friendly and dedicated. Was upgraded to a superior room because they were not busy. A nice touch and thank goodness because the superior room was still pretty basic but functioning. The actual shower does not have hot water however the hand held tub shower head did. I would return but only to a superior room and subject to price. There are many options in that area with a similar price point so easy to shop around.

Nice pool

When we first arrived, there was no welcome drink as advertised. I booked a standard room and it was very basic. No fridge or tea/coffee jug. However, they were happy to upgrade to a superior room at no extra cost! I strongly recommend the superior room as it overlooks the pool.

Saved a lot booking through wotif. Hotel is in a great central location, close to beach, restaurants & shops. Original older style Indonesian hotel. Clean & comfortable rooms. Go for a deluxe room which are by the pool. Can get noisy from live music across the road at Artotel.

Overall the Hotel has a charm and intimacy.

It is a charming small Balinese Hotel, but at the moment the building noise from across the road spoils the charm of a wonderful Hotel. The beach is a pleasant 5 minute walk and the sunrise in the morning is to die for.

Squeezing another dallar out of us.

It was a bit pricy but a nice clean place. Food was so so. My big complaint was that they sold us a boat ticket, through another company, that was 3 x the cost of other boat companies. I felt like our hotel should have given us more options instead of sending us with the company that they had a contract with. We felt ripped off.

Relaxing holiday on a budget

Good place to relax. Pleasant and helpful staff. clean rooms good location. Maintenance in some areas needs attention. Restaurant (although not run by the hotel) needs serious review after many negative reports on service and food quantity This also sells the hotel (or not) to prospective customers.

Good location

We picked this hotel for budget, and budget it was but serviceable for our purpose as it was only a short stay - 5 nights. Any longer and it would be depressing. Very poor maintenance particularly shower head which was like standing under a garden hose and sprayed ALL of the bathroom. Great location in Sanur, friendly staff but don't ask for a wake up call, you will end up waking up the staff yourselves. Food - portioned controlled but satisfactory for a light breakfast.

Really nice hotel good location. Staff are very friendly bar restaurant not quite what was advertised appeared to be run by an external body nonetheless breakfast was adequate and staff were friendly. Our only criticism was the pool area. The pool was very nice but the sun loungers and umbrellas really need replacing and spoil an otherwise really nice setting hence our 3 for overall maintenance

We stayed at Stana Puri Gopa Hotel for 5 nights. The staff were exceptional, always friendly and helpful. Large room that had nice garden views. Room was clean with air conditioning. The only things our room was missing was a small fridge, kettle and free wi-fi. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to fellow travellers on a budget.

Stana Puri Gopa Hotel - we loved it

My wife and l loved this hotel it is not a huge complex it has a small but clean pool excellent friendly staff close to the beach and shopping with some great resturants close by both on the main street and on the beach. Some of the interior walls could do with a lick of paint but only if you're very picky. We even had a free gamelon concert across the street when the local gamelon band practised in a building opposite the Puri. Our room was comfortable and clean with a king bed. Our room was also cleaned everyday and made up with fresh bedding. They also kindly stored some of our bags while we went touring around the island for several days. The Corner D cafe put on a tasty if a bit small breakfast. We liked the hotel so much we booked an extra night on our return.
