Went to Bali on the spur of the moment, never having been before. Approaching the hotel, I was a little scared as it's on a very busy but not particularly interesting stretch of main road. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are of three types: suites (with outdoor shower), deluxe, traditional Balinese style, and Superior, modern Balinese style. Mine (deluxe) was not extravagant, but large, clean and comfortable. Most importantly, the aircon was strong enough to fill the room. Nice pools, sounds of running water all day. Not far from beach if you use the back gate. Twice-daily shuttle into town. The best thing about the Sri Phala is the staff. Marcel, the manager, makes sure everyone is happy and will bend over backward to help out even in weird circumstances. Had a lovely time and would stay again.

Even though we arrived late at night, r I should say very early in the morning, our driver was waiting, check in was fast and the room was ready. I had requested twin beds, but we had a very large king which was okay for the one night we stayed in Sanur. The breakfast was lovely as was the pool and the massage I got at the spa on the property.
