I had a small issue that I wanted to address as I was checking out. The person I believe to be the owner/operator of the hotel happened to be at the front desk. As I attempted to explain my issue, he denied the situation becoming very defensive. We basically went back and forth, saying same thing, getting louder and louder. So I looked him in the eye and said, "So, you're calling me a liar!" He just repeated his denial. I walked out, knowing this wouldn't go anywhere. Being an Hilton Honors member, I was required to go through their office with this issue. I am not receiving any quality help in resolving this issue. I did have a long conversation with a representative, she did a good job, but gave me no avenues to resolve issue other than talking to GM/Owner/Operator. I don't foresee that going any better the second time around. In HHonors initial response, they state they need time to resolve issue. Hiltons definition of resolve is to have GM contact me.

Came late at night so check in went fast. Beds were good,room clean and bathroom was updated.. Breakfast at Hamptons are always good and this one did not disappoint. Would recommend stay here if in the area.

There are numerous issues with this hotel. 1. During 3 day stay we were called during the evening and told that we would not be able to be in our room during the next day because they were cleaning all of the carpets on our floor. Although we asked to move to another room we were told that all rooms were occupied. We later found that was not the case and they did have other rooms just not the configuration of our room. We were not asked if we would like a different room configuration. 2. We stayed in a two queen sized bed configuration. The sheets were full size and the upper sheet had a hole in it. 3. The person who set up breakfast was also the front desk person and answered all incoming calls during that period. Whenever someone needed to checkout then either the breakfast waited or the person waiting at the front desk waited. 4. During the afternoon the person who was on the front desk also was assigned duties folding laundry which delayed anyone checking in. Overall this property has a significant management issue.

Hotel pool was great, hot breakfast was not hot. Bed was too soft. But loved the location. Room was clean and comfortable except the bed was too soft and the air too loud and too close to bed. However, would stay again due to location

Our rooms were completely what we expected. While here, we traveled to Deadwood, saw the waterfalls in the area, which were beautiful, and rode through Spearfish Canyon. We saw the Spearfish Canyon Lodge and would probably look into staying there if we were in the area again because their location had beautiful views.

This was a typical Hampton although the rooms felt much roomier than most. I booked this without realizing it had a water slide in the pool area, so that was a great surprise! Rooms were clean, breakfast was typical Hampton fare. Everyone that we encountered staff-wise was very courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! We booked top floor rooms (as we always try to do) and I was very glad we did so because while waiting for the elevator on the first floor I could hear people running, even womens' heels clicking on the floor above us. So, if you are a light sleeper, you may want to be sure to get an upper floor to avoid noise above you.

We only spent one evening at this Hampton Inn & felt it was completely adequate for our needs. It was close to Deadwood & Spearfish Canyon and only about an hour's drive to Devil's Tower. We practically had the dining room to ourselves in the morning for the breakfast which is a little out of the ordinary from our past experiences at Hampton Inns. Not that I'm complaining. We enjoyed the peace & quiet with all the running around we had been doing. There was a lot of construction work going on at the Hwy. while we were there, but with it being a pretty small town, it really wasn't that big of a deal.

The line staff all seemed engaged and cared about their jobs. Housekeeping, desk staff, and kitchen were good. The AC in the room was extremely noisy, the elevator was scary. The breakfast bar ran out of food before the time was up. The grounds and the lobby was in good shape. it was just odd for a Hampton property in my experience.

This is a good hotel. Clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is organized and good. The location is great right of the highway and near the Spearfish Canyon. be aware that the ice/vending machines are not near the elevator in this hotel. We always book a room at the end of the hallway to be away from the ice machine noise. 2nd floor it is at the end of the hallway right by the fitness center. The pool and hot tub are very clean. There is a water slide in their as well.

Very clean and pleasant room, comfortable bed. We often choose to stay at Hampton's, we know what to expect, and are always satisfied. This one was no exception. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Nice staff.
