Everything about this Hampton Inn was wonderful. Our daughter used the business center and my grandson used the pool. We were a family of 4 with 2 queen beds and a sofa pullout because my grandson is 19 so needed his own bed. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was hot and fresh including the fruit provided.

I found a vacancy at the last minute via Trip Advisor during the 2017 Sturgis Rally. I was pleasently surprised to find this level of lodging available. Very accommodating to riders in all aspects. The parking was perfect for our needs. The Room was exactly what we needed and the facility provided us excellent access to the activities we were pursing.

Stayed at the Spearfish Hampton Inn for 3 days during the Sturgis Bike Rally 2017. The morning and afternoon desk clerks Autumn and Betty are two of the nicest and most helpful people we've encountered, I travel @ 40 weeks per year on business and I have never had better or more professional service than these two special people provided. The hotel owner was there day and night and could not have been more helpful. Everything was great! The owner and the staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for your trip to the Black Hills.

Our family took a cross-country trip from East to West coast, ending at our new home in Bend, Oregon. We stayed at many different hotels, but one encounter led me to write this particular review. Firstly, the staff was very friendly, the room very clean and spacious, and the price was excellent. While eating breakfast, prior to checking out, I watched the kindest staff member, Autumn, handle a woman who was berating her about accidentally throwing away her paper cup that she had left behind. You see the guest had early stage dementia, and her husband and grandson seemed to not realize her polarizing behavior was odd. Autumn continued to be so wonderful and sweet to this woman, and make her feel she was in the right for her angry rant about this "special" cup. It makes me tear up to even think about how special this woman was and probably is in dealing with all types of folks every day. I hope you are able to say hello to her if you have a chance to stay here.

We’ve just returned from a 6200-mile cross-country trip. This is our 4th cross-country loop that we’ve taken since we retired, and on this one we completed our goal of visiting all of the lower 48 states. We stay at hotels as we travel, and we have learned what we expect from a basic hotel room, and have used these expectations to rate the hotel rooms where we have stayed. We had an unexpected problem while travelling and needed to check in early. The staff at the hotel were very understanding and helpful. I can't say enough about how helpful they were. The facility was great, and everything was clean and comfortable. The wifi signal was very good, and ultimately, we would definitely stay here again.

Great choice of motel for the week before Sturgis rally. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was great, breakfast much better than average, rooms were spotless every day we returned. Hope road construction will be done by this time next year.

Decent, updated hotel in a convenient location. Staff mostly friendly and helpful. Rooms appeared clean, but during long stay, it became clear that it was made to LOOK clean, but wasn't really cleaned. Especially the bathroom.

My family and I stayed here on our trip this July. Don't get me wrong it's a good clean hotel. However, why is room service knocking on my door at 8am?? We got in fairly late the night before and it would have been nice to not be woken up at 8am. Also, when we went down to breakfast we discovered that the entire place was being run by one person? Really?? She had to prepare the breakfast area and run the front desk at the same time. She did a great job considering but for what they charge you would think they could staff the place with at least two people for the busy breakfast time. Also the slide is broken there so my kids were disappointed.

Breakfast was pretty good. Front desk not very helpful, and actually crabby. Stingy with soap and shampoo and conditioner for the five of us staying there. It was also difficult to get a set of sheets for the sofa bed. Pillows were awful, beds were very, very soft. Overall it was quiet and location was convenient. Room and bathroom were mostly clean. Would I stay again? Only if there were no other suitable options in the area.

Made not a whit of difference booking rooms months ago, nor being enrolled in "Hilton Honors", whatever that is supposed to do for us. Rooms were not ready for us AFTER the 3:00 p.m. check-in time -and the tired-grouchy-needs-to-retire front desk clerk named Betty suggested "we go somewhere for 35-45 minutes and MOST LIKELY our rooms would be ready then." Traveling since before sunup, that was NOT the thing to be told to weary guests.
