nice and pleasant room, great locaton, friendly reception by staff

Used band aid on bedside table, dried pee on toilet seat, make up on pillow case, stain of some kind on bottom sheet. Didn't stay there, asked for our money back and never got it. Staff was rude about it. Would NEVER recommend this dump.

Our room was just awful. So tiny only one person could be in the bathroom, walk in the room or be anywhere but bed. The whole room needs to be gutted. Some of the rooms might be acceptable, staff was pleasant, but Room 209 should not be rented to ANYONE!

The hotel was perfect for our launching point for Mt. Rushmore and other sights. Plus, Spearfish is amazing all on its own. "Continental breakfast" was lacking. Cereal, waffle, and Tang. But I booked it booked it because our three nights there were cheaper than one night at the major chains. Great places in town to go have breakfast. Internet was spotty, but functional. I would stay again.

Older motel with stained carpet and in need of painting. It was as clean as staff could make it.

Over all we had a very nice stay. The manager and staff were kind, friendly, and down to earth. They are working very hard to improve an already nice place to spend a night, weekend, or vacation. Thanks to you all.

Motel was pleasant. We needed a place to stay at night so we could ride during the day. This motel worked out great.

Room was nice and clean. Only negative is at check-in, the lady continued to keep me waiting while she was on the phone taking a room reservation. I think when a customer is standing right there waiting for a room, the front desk person should put callers on hold.

Spearfish: A somewhat out of the way location, could be hard to spot. -- this trip complicated by road construction at the appropriate exit. Older but maintained. Room had small fridge, microwave. Old CRT TV, no flat panels here. OK by me. I would stay there again and the price was right. Kind of a central location for lots of good spots to explore. Having both the mini-fridge and microwave makes for packing picnics, etc on the way to see something.

I knew exactly what I was going to get by reading the reviews. It is not a 4 star. It is a little hotel, clean as a pin. It is old, in need of a remodel I am sure, but the rate was the best in town and it met my expectations.

Yes, we got a room that still had construction material on the floor and furniture in the wrong place. Trash outside and in the way to the room, including a six pack of beer and grill from someone else (the beer was no longer there in the morning). You should not list this hotel as an option.

It was a late check in and an early check out. Easy to find, but they had breakfast and hot tub I wish I would have taken advantage of. Reasonably priced.

We had booked two rooms one room with a King bed and one with a queen and when we went to check in we were told we only had one reservation luckily I had printed my confirmation we got my mother into her room with the queen bed and when we got to are room it was a full size bed for two people and to top it off the bed was hard as a rock so it was a very uncomfortable and sleepless night. The next morning we got up to shower and there was no hot water not a hint straight up cold so to top it of it was a very unpleasant experience and do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had wanted to stay in Deadwood but the hotels were all full except the $300.00 a night ones. Glad we stayed in Spearfish and drove the 12 miles. Lots quieter and we had a big room, comfy beds and a good breakfast.

The front desk lady was nice but her kids were yelling and she was distracted a lot. The location was questionable and it was a VERY OLD motel. The room was small but do able but we had to take our shoulder to the door to get it to open and my 19 yr old son and I are not wimps. The A/C shut off in the middle of the night like it was on a timmer and the breakfast ws cold cerial and donuts. On our 22 day trip it was the second most costly stay and the very worst by far over all.

The room was clean but the bathroom sink was broken and the air conditioner couldn't cool down the room even after 12 hours of continuous running. My recommendation is don't stay if its going to be hot outside.

this hotel suitedus very well. Clean, good breakfast, good service.

Nice room at a reasonable price Ample parking quiet

The hotel was not nearly worth what I paid for. The rooms need some serious updating. The first night there was a huge spider that came out of the faucet. Pretty disgusted after that. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if they had to pay the amount I did (because of an event in Deadwood.)

I went to Spearfish to participate in the marathon. The room was comfortable and clean, located in a quiet area of downtown Sperfish. I will stay here again if I ever comeback. Great for the price.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay! I apologize for the hair dryer issue we do have them available just not equipped in every room. Thank you for staying with us and safe travels!
