"The hotel has some lovely staff especially in house keeping and at the restaurant. The wonderful entertainment team make it a welcoming atmosphere and it is exceptionally child friendly. This is my second visit and what lets the hotel down is management and reception staff. There was constant requests for extra money, an extortionate amount more for New Year’s Eve when we had paid for full board and no other options available, feedback from guests was that the food was poor despite the price. Drinks costing double during football matches, charging an obscene amount for water in the restaurant and the challenging guests who buy it for an 1/8 of the price at the adjoining shop. Reception staff can be hostile and this upset a number of guests. I do like this hotel but in order to keep returning guests, management need to consider these extra costs and ensure these are explained and justified. This would make reception staff jobs easier, as they are fielding complaints."
