The hotel itself isn’t so bad but the staff are very racist towards black people or coloured people. Staff watched my family’s every move as if we were peasants or thieves. We felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. The staff hated our children, our kids used to tell us several times that the staff used to verbally insult them when they were alone. I couldn’t even swim in the pool without feeling uncomfortable as the life guard used to look at us in disgust. There was a time when I was just sat next to the pool and one of the men came to me and asked me if my clothing was appropriate, I was wearing a long sleeved swimsuit. How dare he!! I was not even swimming or even in the water and there were other people wearing the same thing as me. The staff in this hotel have no morals, looking down at us. Never going back to this hotel or country. Since my time in this place I always wondered what I did that was soo wrong. Me and my family were respectful to everyone but did not get the same in return.RACISM STILL EXISTS!! Some staff were lovely but the majority were horrible human beings. Not many people will understand but I noticed that the people with fair skin were treated like royalty whereas we were treated like scum. Whenever we asked for things we were ignored, we had a baby and we were not given a kettle or even allowed hot water for the milk. Every time we asked for hot water in a flask we were either ignored or insulted in their own language. Nobody should ever be treated like how we were in this country/hotel. Unacceptable!!!!!
Save your time and go elsewhere. Booked 4 months in advanced, fully paid for, only to be told upon arrival that a triple room was ‘unavailable’. I’ve paid the money - provide the basic service you promised. Absolute shambles. Only ever one person at the reception while the queue is so long with random people jumping in to have a word while everyone else is patiently waiting. Receptionists are rude and not understanding at all. I understand that it may not be their fault, but at least try act sympathetic if you know you’re the one at fault. Sink was blocked and I was so sick of the bad service, I didn’t even bother to go speak to reception as I knew i’d be told ‘later later’ only for nothing to happen. ALSO a charger went missing from our room after it was cleaned. I was assured that they have a ‘no taking anything’ policy - gave me a right laugh, i’d like to see a hotel where they don’t have such a policy. Anyway, I can’t be bothered listing any further. Just take my word and STAY CLEAR.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for four nights to relax and explore Agadir a bit. Our overall impression of the hotel is that it's quite disorganised, leading to several problems. Despite booking a double room, we were given a twin. When we asked about this, we were told "but everyone wants a double". Not being satisfied by this incredible response, we pushed further and were told we could have a double from the next night, but would have to keep our twin room for the first night. Our first room also had a "sea view" which means you can see the sea in the distance, on the other side of an animal park. Overlooking an animal park means you cannot use the balcony/open the window without smelling the animals. This room was also directly above a night club. We would highly recommend asking for a pool view. When we were changed to a pool view, the room was much better and we could actually use the balcony and not have noise late into the night. Breakfast was equally disorganised, a lack of staff meant you had to wait constantly for new cups/plates/refills of food/drink trays. There were endless queues for omelettes/waffles which meant we mostly avoided getting those things in the end. Staffing was also a problem at the pool bar where we waited over an hour for a pizza and a burger, despite constantly being told it would be "right out". When challenged on this and asked if we would get any complementary drinks or discount (when still waiting), the waiter got quite sarcastic and rude and asked if we'd been timing him. To his credit, he came and apologised to us later in the day, but this kind of summed up the hotel experience. My girlfriend had a massage at the spa which was another strange experience. She was told to lay ready and then waited 10 minutes for anyone to arrive, whilst hearing them talk outside. The music was then interrupted by the masseuse's phone going off. Some other customers came to complain very loudly about something, leading the masseuse to go and deal with them, leaving the door open for anyone to look in. Finally she was left to "relax" at the end whilst listening to another colleague outside crying. No one came back in so she got dressed in the dark and left, before being chased down at the poolside for payment. A very strange and not at all relaxing experience. The whole hotel just needs better organisation, communication and customer service. We definitely wouldn't stay here again.
Pros: nice large building, swimming pool is a decent size, clean, rooms changed /cleaned everyday, receptionist staff helpful in knowing what is available locally, beach located 10 mins away, bird sanctuary right next to hotel, museum 15 mins walk, buses located outside hotel, great food places such as Chich kebab (cheap but delicious) and Camels (on the beach, more expensive food is decent). Cons: entered room with sand on one of the duvets on first night, room was quite small for two people /small balcony, breakfast is largely Moroccon which is understandable but the flavour is somewhat bland, arranged for spa treatment for myself and teenage daughter, spa worker forgot that we booked with her the night before although documented in her book, my massage was decent, teen daughter booked in for a fask mask (80 dirams) directly after me. Once my massage finished my daughter was already undertaking her treatment which was a facial at the cost of 280 dirams (my massage was 150) so I was horrified l. During my daughters treatment I reflected on how the worker introduced me to her husband on her mobile and was being incredibly friendly I suspect this was to deflect from the fact that she had given my daughter a treatment we didn't ask for and the most expensive one in the spa. Reception wasn't that helpful, said manager would return in a few days and they couldn't change fees once they are credited to your room. The spa worker was very disorganised and when I returned to complain (in hindsight I should not have paid straightaway) there were two other guests complaining that their spa treatments were cancelled despite booking the day before. Left a bad impression on an otherwise pleasant stay which was a shame.
The people that work at the pool are very friendly and do their job very well also the workers at the restaurant, the pool itself is very very dangerous. All of the tiles are loose and are very sharp my feet was cut very bad and was blooding much also the pit is so big that your foot can get stuck in it and you might even break your ankle because of it. Also the food is always the same, my opinion is that the food is very bad also the wifi is very slow and you get very bad connection.
Advertised as 4 stars- more like 2. Very dated hotel, with old furniture, and dirty carpets. Balcony door broken and wouldn't lock, had to go to reception numerous times to get it fixed. Toilet leaking, maintenance tried to fix it but it was still leaking after. Parking is a nightmare, very limited spaces and if there is no spaces you have to wait for somebody to leave, our hire car also got damaged whilst it was parked up- there is security but obviously not 24h. Breakfast was very average, expect stale pastries and soggy salad- however they do replenish throughout the morning so if you go down later there is still food. Staff were all friendly, especially the pool boy (very lovely and gave us local area tips but didn't catch his name)
Beautiful 4 star hotel at the perfect location:right along the beach & boulevard and near restaurants & shops. Rooms are fully equipped, nice beds with great mattresses and pillows, extra seating area, desk, flat screen TV,safe and mini bar.Spacious bathrooms and a balcony with a seating area.Depending on the room type one might have a view over the swimming pool or sea. The staff is super friendly, always helpful and they all speak perfect French and English.Breakfast was great, lots of variety:different types of bread and sweets/cakes,salad corner, cheeses, yogurts, cereals, special Moroccan pancakes and bread right in front of you and great coffees. Egg/omelette area prepared on your demand. Enough to do if you feel like staying in:authentic Hammam/massage,sunbathing/swimming pool, fitness, playing snooker/table tennis, have a drink at the bar,it's all possible. They also serve snacks and lunch/diner. Parking spots are available in front of the hotel. It's a four star hotel and has all the facilities one could ask for.Though the atmosphere is not cold or distant. Each and every member working at this amazing place is more then friendly, warm hearted and kind. This trip and stay was beyond my expectations.A big compliment and thanks, especially Mr. Isem and Mr. Kamel of the front desk. You guys are amazing and beyond friendly and so patient (with me and my dad).Again a big thank you for this amazing journey and all the extras.I will be back.
1st time to Agadir and Morocco and this hotel is spot on for all your needs, for a lads trip away the staff were always welcoming and the facilities were what you would expect, clean rooms, steady food and drink options, only 2 areas to be mindful of, music around the pool can be very varied, air con in rooms needs to be re-gassed as not as cool as you would expect, as these are the only things to report it was a pleasant break, ps remember you can book drinks to your room as bars don’t really have change
It’s a Best Western hotel therefore it is not a 5* Spa hotel BUT it is a great hotel for those on a budget. Rooms are clean and comfortable - shower is good. Pool is great - although the DJ plays the same music every day.... Breakfast is Moroccan, which is good, so don’t expect a brutish fry up. Staff extremely friendly and helpful Close to beach and main shops/restaurants on the promenade. Minor gripe - the bar appears to have no change ever so exact money or charge it to your room.
Brother and Sister at the Hotel. Good location and Nice room. The security guy ( Mohamed bouddi) was absolutely brilliant , he helped a lots with taxi and gave us lots of tips. The Metre' was friendly and funny and he helped me a lots with my request.(as pregnant woman, can be very annoying) The swimming pool also nice :D 4* because It was very hard for me to speak with the Barista, as he didn't speaks English.
