Charming old, but fully refurbished hotel. Immaculate grounds and rooms. We really enjoyed the porch over-looking the beach and Dana Point Harbor where we watched the sunset snuggled under the blanket provided for us. You have to understand that it is an old hotel, so the walls are thin, and you are right across the street from the train, which stops running after 9:00PM, but it's part of the charm. Loved the split doors where you could open the top and let the fresh air flood the room. Staff was very nice and helpful. We will certainly stay again.

There was not a working bar abd it's across the highway 1 from the beach. The patio is not on the beach. The room was beautiful and the gas fireplace was nice
