The property did not meet the condition advertised in the listing and was not guest-ready. Upon arrival, there were widespread safety and sanitation issues throughout the home. We observed feces left in a toilet, spoiled milk spilled inside the refrigerator, dirty walls throughout the house, broken doors and handles. Stained sheets on all beds, along with stained towels. Mold and mildew in the bathroom, broken beds with a detached headboards, exposed electrical outlets.The kitchen and bathrooms were unclean, and several items appeared unsanitary for guest use.There were also multiple safety concerns, including an iron rod hanging from the attic access, a broken ceiling light fixture, holes in walls, and other maintenance issues that were not disclosed in the listing.The host provided very minimal resolution that addressed only a small portion of the issues, while the majority of sanitation and safety concerns remained unresolved. We were later told by the host that the condition of the home met their cleanliness standards, despite the documented issues.Due to necessity, we had to purchase cleaning supplies, towels, sheets, shower curtains, and basic kitchen items to make the home minimally usable. Given the condition of the property upon arrival, we contacted VRBO immediately due to health and safety concerns.
