The resort is located up on the monkey mountain so you can enjoy the amazing view when on the way to resort and also from the room. Room was spacious and we was waken up by the monkeys because we forgot to close the balcony door after enjoying the sunrise, such an unforgettable personalize service! They woke up us to feed them! How cute and polite instead of stealing something from our room. We enjoyed the private calm beach and the infinity pool a lot. Cannot forget the night walk on the beach and the talking under the romantic area by the Long bar. Staffs from the beach to the pool, at the restaurant and even the driver were so nice and attentive. We were quite sad because our stay was so short that we couldnt explore the resort more. Definitely will recommend this place as an paradise on earth to those who looking for a destination when in Da Nang. Everthing were so perfect to us, except the very first moment when we drove to the resort by scooter, the staff were brusque, asked us where we were going just like a police man, maybe he expects all of his guests would arrive by some luxury cars? If then, we are so sorry that we were disappointing you!
Staff are world class - everyone is extremely friendly and helpful (especially Vin and Dong the fisherman!). Location was up along the mountain side so you are going to have stunning views of the coast from your room. You can also go down and lounge on their private beach or one of the pools via the resort's own private tram. There's a whole range of activities each day or you can also take the free shuttle into Danang city (30 Min) or Hoi An (1hr) as a day trip. I've pretty much gushed about this resort to all my mates as the place to go when visiting Danang. We spent a total of 3 nights here and did not want to leave. Highly recommended and worth the price.
As part of my Vietnam trip I choosed to end in Da Nang at this resort at the beginning of April and I was not disappointed. I brought my mum along as I wanted her to experience this incredible hotel as she is getting older and unlikely to travel much anymore. It is a massive luxury place set in a beautiful environment with incredible architecture. Glorious views all around the resort grounds at every angle you look at. When you check-in at the open air lobby it is very impressive the decor, colour scheme and the terrace overlooking the resort/beach. Absolutely stunning, wow. Was greeted by staff including the Associate Director of Guest Services on arrival. Received complimentary fruits in room and was given a nice welcome card. Later in the day got a knock on the door and was provided with chocolate easter eggs and card! The resort is divided into four levels: Heaven, Sky, Earth, and Sea. The resort has its own cable car system called Nam Tram, to conveniently transport their guests and staff to each level. Staff are friendly, helpful, attentive and positive which created a truely memorable experience. Thank You. Room is clean and tidy. Location is far from the city centre and secluded which I already knew. They do provide activities at the resort also. Morning buffet breakfast is one of the the best buffet extensive setups I have ever seen. Check out was very nice with the departure wave goodbye by staff. I used their airport transportation service for departure and that was excellent. Definitely up there with the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed at.
What can I say about this place that hasn't been said already? There is a reason for all of the good reviews. I'm pretty picky when it comes to resorts. I think it's important to have a lot of balance between luxury amenities and maintenance of the natural surroundings. I think it's ideal to have comprehensive service that is neither intrusive or snobby. This resort hits all of those points squarely. The overall plan for the resort is extremely well done. They managed to maintain the beauty of Son Tra and create a view of the resort itself that is harmonious and quite stunning, really. The scale of the buildings is impressive but not overwhelming. The rooms themselves are really nice with everyone having a balcony and ocean view. The attention to detail in design is impressive and walking around the resort yields surprising vistas or areas for private enjoyment of the surroundings. I can't say enough for the grounds. And the staff was amazing. So kind and accommodating without being obsequious. We were only there for 2 nights and sadly had cold and windy weather the entire time. But we braved the beach anyway and the staff there chatted with us and took photos for us (even bringing out some props). Everyone in reception and guest services was great. They coordinated a visit from our Hoi An tailors for final adjustments in our room. Our flight was delayed and they provided a late checkout for us. Overall, we felt really welcome and taken care of. So, I think that this resort is well worth the money. The Danang/Hoi An area is really being built up with new properties along the coastline but I think they will all have difficulty living up to the standard set by the Intercontinental.
When we first arrived, we were greeted by very helpful, warm and friendly staff. Great service, great and friendly staff. Dinner buffet was great with a great amount of variety. The lady at the concierge was very knowledgable and helpful.
Staffs are very nice and attentive. Ms.Hoang served the water after we finished our drinks. Very careful! The view from the room is also good. It was differend atmosphere from Danang city. We enjoyed our time :)
WORLD CLASS! From the moment we arrived it was an extraordinary serenity cultivated by the master of GM's Mr Losada and resort managers Mr Hamdi. A combination of magical perfection in a team creating nirvana from the moment one arrives. I cannot put into words how incredibly beautiful this hotel is, everything is curated for the guest and although things curated usually come with performance there is no performance at all here EVERYTHING is natural and genuine, from the openly warm welcome to the friendly interaction with all members of staff. This can only be achieved when people are happy and the team here genuinely are. A mark of great leadership! I stay in hotels incessantly and am fortunate enough to be able to experience luxury at it's best but the comfort of the rooms, the beauty of the surround combined with the effortless service one receives at every turn in this resort makes this my oscar winner of places to stay. A huge thank you Juan and a huge thank you Seif If i were to have a chosen family it would be the team here at the Intercontinental, you welcomed us as long lost friends, looked after me and my guests faultlessly and have stolen my heart. We cannot wait to return.
We had a 4 night stay in April, after first visiting Hoi An. Between the two locations the drive includes the 20 mile stretch of My Khe beach which has several dozen large modern resorts between the main road and the sea. The Intercontinental is nothing like My Khe, it shares its beach with no one else except its guests and the wildlife, and it's beautiful seclusion is matched by the resort's incredible architecture and fantastic landscaping. The rooms are stunning and you feel entirely private as soon as you step inside. We really enjoyed the elevated view. Yes it does take a bit of time to get from your room to the main resort facilities and the beach but no one should complain about that when the compensation is the outstanding beauty and only having to share the whole area with guests from c.200 other rooms. When you couple the real exclusiveness and quality of this resort with the outstanding service team it is truly a very special place to visit, especially if you want somewhere to recover from the hectic pace of the main Vietnam cities. Plenty of on site activities, just note the trek in the jungle is a very undulating and steep in places 8km, and its all on sealed roads and paths, so you do need to be quite fit. Special thanks to Quoc on the Concierge team who did a great job organising our tour of Da Nang and transfer to the airport.
This hotel is beyond amazing. We left the wonderful care of the hotel staff at 10:30 AM, arriving at Da Nang Domestic Airport for a 1:10 PM flight. Unfortunately for us, our flight was delayed by four hours, so we hopped over to the Intercontinental Airport Lounge. THANK GOODNESS we did. The staff took care of us for a total of seven hours (after repeat flight delays). From a private room to relax to delicious food and exceptional customer services, our horrendous delay was made much, much more bearable. Stay with Intercontinental for the luxury of a 6-star hotel, but become brand loyal for the consistent experience once you check out and enter the lounge. Gia, Hoang, and Hieu and the entire lounge staff, thank you deeply.
After one of the most amazing weeks of our lives at the resort, our day was almost ruined when we arrived at the airport to find our flight was cancelled and rescheduled for 6 hours later. Thankfully Hoang, the supervisor at the Intercontinental's Airport Lounge made us feel incredibly welcomed. The service, between the resort itself and the lounge were second to none. And Chef Hieu did a fantastic job for us for lunch. Thanks again for an amazing experience!
