More than good enough considering the price. Room fine, location good, connection with public transport system excellent. Colleagues did have some practical issues with their room, but mine was The rooms have no view though, so see it more as a functional place to stay.
We were attending a conference and the venue was really close to the hotel. The hotel is also convenient if you want to go out at night and there are many restaurants and coffee places around. We had a very nice suite with a great bathroom and 2 TVs and a large table. The staff is efficient (to bring food or fix a tv) but they do not speak English. The hotel is clean and comfortable and perfect for a work trip.
There's so many tourists place around the hotel and the public transportation is pretty usefully. Pretty good services, amazing location and excellent space and prices...strongly indicated. Curitiba is one of the most beautiful places in Brazil, not better because it's suck cold,,, even on this aspect the hotel is fine... They provide heating system in all of flats
I've been hosted at this hotel from a thursday night to sunday morning. I had a very good experience, and almost nothing to complain, as the fact that there is only one power jack to recharge your phone. So, the relation between costs and benefits were perfect, in a room for three, the space is enough. The localization is perfect, close to Teatro Guaíra (Guaíra Theatre), close to street San Francisco, and close to several squares. The breakfast were close to perfect, once that there are several fruits, breads, mixed eggs and sausages, cereals, yogurts, milk, juice, coffe, tea and so on. The only observation I would say is: PLEASE prepare the juice without sugar, more than preparing with, you prepare with tons of sugar, and one day, the juices were impossible to be drunk. That's it.
The Dan Inn hotel offers rooms for a fair price in a great location. I enjoyed my time there, also the staff was friendly and the breakfast good. There is free coffee and tea all time but sometimes it is cold. However, it missed something that makes it special, so I'd say 4 out of 5 stars is fair.
The hotel is on a great location, however is not well-maintained. Staff not friendly at all, and apparently don't know anything either, or pretend to not know. You can take the Ligeirinho bus right on the corner of the hotel to all major tourist attractions, like the Crystal Palace, Botanical Garden and MON museum, but the hotel staff will try to push you to take a limo service instead arranged by the hotel. Also, when I requested a cab to take us back to the airport, the hotel staff suggested a limo service that will charge you more, instead I said that I prefered a regular taxi cab with a meter, and I was told that they've tried to call a cab but nobody answered the phone. I was pissed, because its so obvious that the hotel staff is cashing money taking advantage of tourists, and couldn't even arrange one of the city cabs. So I stood outside the hotel and in less than 3 minutes I was able to find a city cab. Breaksfast wasn't great either and again unhappy staff and half dozen of choices.
The price paid was a good value given the location, but the hotel is very basic and not well maintained. The room was clean, but pieces were broken on the front of the air conditioner and the bathroom did not look nice, with worn and cracked tiles and scuzzy-looking caulk. They had an English movie channel on the TV, but the TV behaved oddly -- only two buttons on the remote worked, and the buttons on the TV did different things than the labels. For example, pushing "volume up" actually had the effect of "channel down". The nearby military club generated a lot of noise during the day. Breakfast was OK and the hot water supply was excellent. The internet was reasonably fast but occasionally dropped packets. There is a supermarket nearby. I would have given two stars, but I decided on three because my stay was tolerable and the price very reasonable.
The hotel is a decent Base for Day Trips in curitiba! Good breakfast and friendly staff. All in all good blaue for Money! Would Stay there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!',,,,,,',,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Close to the city centre and shopping, where things are busy during the day, plus within easy 5 min taxi ride to the Rodoferroviaria. It is also whithin a short walk to the old part of the city. Staff were very helpful at reception and the breakfast buffet in the morning had an excellent choice of options. Checking in and out was fairly easy, but it does help to have a basic grasp of Brasilian Portugese if the staff don't speak English.
I can start off by mentioning the only good thing. The location. Otherwise this was a really bad experience. The staff didn't speak english, and were very unfriendly. They didn't even try to understand us and seemed like we were annoying them when we tried to ask for simple things. The room were dirty (the cleaning lady didn't make the bed, didn't take out the trash and the towels was changed only once during a three night stay) and around the vent/heater it wasn't sealed properly, so we had a cold draft during the night. (the heater was so noisy, it was impossible to sleep with it on) The prices of doing laundry there was totally ridiculous! We were going to wash some clothes, but then we would have paid 400 R$. so we went on wallmart instead, and paid 27 R$ for wash&dry.
