Nice hotel. Beach area could of been cleaner. No wait staff. NO CAN BEER! Very disappointing. It was only Keg beer and not cold! Half of the staff very friendly other half not so much. Food was ok/good. Did have a good selection to pick from. Did have name brand alcohol which didn't cost extra.

We love Melia as it is quieter than the other hotels since it is the last one in the "hotel zone." I think it gets the most seaweed, since it does not have the protection of the reef, but it is easy to walk down the beach for the great snorkeling -- and they rake it up as quickly as possible. Food was good. Staff super friendly and the place is well kept up and very clean. Beds and pillows are a little hard, but that's about the only slightly negative thing I can say.

Property is older but clean many activities provided especially for kids beach is very nice. I booked a room with king bed got two full beds they offered to slide together, not the same. Buffet food was poor usually left overs from previous day. Iguana grill and the cafe paraiso much better unless you prefer quantity over quality. No shuttles provided to golf or shopping in town only taxis. This all inclusive does not include golf unless you pay extra which came as a surprise to me. I had to pay the resort $70 to make a tee time pay a taxi $7 each way and $31 for the cart rental. Regular green fee with cart is $99 (what?) and best to pay for anything in pesos. Free wifi is only available in or near the lobby. I compare this to the Melia resort in Punta Cana which for me wins hands down.

Pool bar and beach are very fun. Very relaxing time!!

Took my daughter for her graduation and we had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the tower -6th floor-and our room was cleaned everyday, fresh towels and toiletries, and bar was restocked. There's a microwave in the room also. We always had hot water and great water pressure. You can fill out a beverage request for your mini fridge at the check in . Great beach- staff raked it almost daily.Plenty of room to stretch out. Unlike the one next door-they were packed in like sardines! The water would get churned up and turn brownish near shore when it was real windy and wavy. You could always use the pools if it bothered you. Walked down to the next hotel to snorkel-crystal clear water. You can also feed the fish crackers/bread from the pier. We horseback rode on the beach from the man across the street. Calm horses, trained very well. The hotel trip guy (next to the checkin in the lobby) set it up for us. There is a US currency ATM in the gift shop and a Mexican currency ATM at the security gate. We paid taxis in pesos-100 pesos to get to town, or you pay $10 American. 200 pesos to get to airport. We ate at the buffet the whole time, because we really liked the food. They change it up every night and there was always a huge variety. Make sure you ask for the ice cream-the coconut is delicious! The bartenders made good drinks-if you want it stronger just ask. We also tipped everyone-$1/$2. It was much appreciated.

Hotel is nice but could use to b updated. Be careful at checkin, you might not get the room u think u are. We had to argue that what we booked off internet was not where they tried to put us. They did eventually give us right room. Food, staff, beach, pool are great! They added some entertainment too this year.

This was our second time a Melia Cozumel. We seen the same staff memebers as the previous year. We work 51 weeks a year for a one week get away from work, stress, problems etc. They really do an outstanding job of making that come true. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful we have never had that anywhere else. I am 55 and wish I would of been coming here for many years already. We will never go anywhere else! Thank You to everyone at the Melia Resort in Cozumel!!!!!

My husband and I just got married in Cozumel at Melia and it was great!! We had everything and anything we needed all on the resort! We just had a wedding on our own not the hotel but it just so happens they had a beautiful new years party that night. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give all 5s is that rooms were a bit outdated and the buffet wasn't great.

My husband and I have never done all inclusive and I can say this was so worth it. The hotel was very clean the staff was GREAT!! Food was good and it was one of the most relaxing vacations I've been on.

Great hotel. No complaints. Staff is always nice and accommodating. Food is a little above average.

great for kids and family rest and relax very good overall

The staff in this hotel is so nice and helpful!! This was our 4th stay and the staff remembered us! Loved it!

We have been to several AI resorts in Cozumel as well as other places so my review is based on comparison. (Were 2 adults in 40s no kids) First of all the resort is very nice. The rooms are nicer than other resorts weve stayed at. Very clean and updated, great AC. I always read reviews where people complain about a mildew smell bla bla bla - its Mexico - its humid - it happens. The food was not as good as other resorts..but it worked. The beach was beautiful but the water was brown and murky! The resort to the south built a wave break wall and it stops the water from flowing thru - so the water all in front of Melia is brown. No snorkeling here, was disappointing. There is also no beach service. You had to get up and go to bar and get drinks - which was ok - there were 3 bars close by. There is lots for kids to do here and theres also an adults only pool with swim up

This was our second stay at this location which it seems to be going downhill in terms of service and cleanliness. This hotel seems to be part of a timeshare now as I think most resorts are leaning towards and that doesn't work for us because it takes away from the service. The rooms need updating with quieter A/C. Maintenance was going on constantly during the height of the year. The beach was dirty with seaweed and who knows what else. The only positive thing I can say is that the entertainment shows they have is really good along with the staff by the kids pool.

The hotel itself was a little old- smaller- but a great value. The food was excellent- wonderful service- everyone was very nice and helpful . My son had gotten locked in the bathroom- due to an old sticky door- they came right away- and replaced the locks. Plenty of choices for food- the ceviche was great! Water was dark due to seaweed- but beach was nice- tons of seating- never a problem. The kids pool is small - with little seating so it filled up fast. Not too many activities so we went into town daily for a short $8 cab ride- Overall highly recommend. Cozumel was great- and very family friendly.

The hotel staff was very attentive to your needs. Great service.

The room was comfortable, the food was good, and they did provide us with Champagne and Chocolate Covered Strawberries for our anniversary. We do not have children but it appears to be an excellent resort for families. Snorkeling was very good. Having to get a reservation every day for the a la carte restaurant was not convenient, the ocean was pretty clear a few days and we did see fish, sting rays, and squid. We are accustomed to very friendly staff but this resort's front desk was lacking in friendliness we felt. Staff in restaurants and most of the bars were nice.

THE ELEVATOR DID NOT FUNCTION, SO INSTEAD OF FIXING IT, THEY COVERED IT WITH DRY WALL. STAFF WAS WONDERFUL. NEVER STAYED IN A ROOM WITH NO DRESSER. BUFFET WAS FANTASTIC, SPECIALLY BREAKFAST. THE FOOD IN THE RESERVATION ONLY RESTURANTS WAS FAIR TO DISMAL. THE SOUP AT THE LAGUNA GRILL WAS LUKE WARM, TOOK AN HOUR TO GET MY STEAK AND IT WAS COLD. FORGET THE SPA,

The service was absolutely amazing, and the staff were so friendly we actually made some really good friends. The food at the reservation restaurant was to DIE FOR. A/C worked great, drinks were good, food was average at the buffet, but hey its a buffet. The staff at this place are fabulous! Beds are a little hard, but hotel is so affordable and such good value for the price.

Loved the hotel. The food was very good, not a lot of variety. Our room was clean and spacious, and staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back.
