This resort has really declined over the past year. The food was the most noticeable. There were extremely limited options on the buffet meals, and the food did not taste fresh. Some of the potatoes and veggies were not cooked or even warm. For breakfast the omelet station was the only thing to eat. There was no bacon or sausage for meats, only leftover "chicken in green sauce" that was on the evening buffet, and some cut up hot dogs. Last year there were shrimp options and fresh fish every evening. This was not the case this year. The swimming pool was very dirty and murky green. They shut it down for one day to clean it, so at least the issue was recognized. But not having the pool for a day was an issue with my 11 year old boy. The rooms were reasonable clean, and the activities staff were excellent with my kid. They were the highlight of the trip. Overall due to the food and pool cleanliness issues we will not return.

We always stay at the Cozumel Hotel and Resort when we make our yearly trip. You just can't beat the great staff, the huge pool with the great courtyard, and dining in the beachside restaurant for breakfast. You can snorkel or dive from their pier and the dive shop is right there. It's close enough to walk to downtown San Miquel, or you can take a taxi. They have car rentals also, or bikes if you want to get some exercise. It's a WIN WIN WIN!

This is the only place we stay now when we visit Cozumel. I have come to island 5-6 times and found this place the on my second trip. The staff is always friendly, the food is good, great ocean access for snorkeling or a shore dive and the rooms are always clean. It's only about a 15 minute walk to downtown and if you want to rent a scooter or book an excursion, there is always someone there to help you. I would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, there were several recurring issues that significantly impacted the quality of my stay. Throughout my stay, the resort frequently ran out of basic bar supplies. Beer was unavailable for three days, and on one day there was no Kahlúa or mint available for mojitos. In addition, the bar ran out of clean glasses, and guests were asked to walk around the pool collecting used glasses so they could be washed and reused. The food quality was also disappointing. Every day there were eggshells in my scrambled eggs, and I have photos documenting this. None of the buffet food was served hot; everything was lukewarm to cold, even when arriving right when the buffet opened. While the food at the pool area was better, the service was extremely slow, and I often saw plates of food sitting for long periods before being delivered to guests. There were also maintenance and comfort issues. On a couple of days the pool water level was low, and visible buildup and debris were noticeable along one side. At one point the ping pong table was painted while guests were sitting nearby, and the fumes were overwhelming. One morning there was no coffee available at all. The special dinner lasagna was particularly poor; the sauce tasted like plain tomato soup and was not appetizing. Additionally, many of the mixed drinks had a very unpleasant rubber-like taste, making them undrinkable. Staff was great and the grounds are nice. Pool best! Will stay there again but not all inclusive!

It was a clean nice place. The bar was ok at the pool. The bartender didn’t really want to make certain drinks such as mojito’s. Saying he don’t have mint and would have it in 30 minutes to not having it yet an hour later. The food in the restaurant for the dinner we had to sign up for was not good. And when I said it tasted bad they said there wasn’t any other food they were sold out. Very disappointing. The buffet was ok but I wouldn’t do all inclusive again. I ended up eating out paying more money. That wasn’t what I was expecting. We checked out a day early due to the ferry times to meet our flight time. We didn't receive a refund for that night.

Our stay was very hit and miss. We enjoyed the balcony with view of the ocean, however rooms were not properly soundproofed and traffic awoke us frequently. The beds were too firm, making it an uncomfortable sleep. Housekeeping did a good job keeping the room clean daily. We appreciated the fridge/freezer and complimentary water bottles. We enjoyed the oceanfront most, with excellent snorkeling found along the reefs. The restaurant overlooking the ocean was lovely. It was apparent food was done on a low budget. Temperature was frequently cold and one evening my daughter's chicken mole was so cold she became sick from it. We enjoyed the specialty dinners, though it was very frustrating to only get into two for the whole week we were there. Drinks were good when they had the ingredients to make them. Bartenders did a great job. Service personnel were variable- pleasant and attentive or scarce to find. The pool area was beautiful, just wish that the water temperatures were kept warmer (pool was 77 degrees, hot tub cold in the morning and warming to the 90's by evening). Entertainment staff did a great job!

Rooms very clean, comfortable beds Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Front desk personnel even took the time to help us try and get in touch with our transfer service for getting transportation back to the airport. Food at the buffet was good and plenty of it but not huge variety day to day for breakfast and lunch. Dinner had different theme nights (Mexican, Asian, Italian,ect..) Difficult to book dinner at the sit-in restaurant as reservations filled the restaurant quickly and it is only open three nights a week. The one night we were able to get a reservation, the food was delicious. Felt very safe walking outside of the resort into the nearby village. Would definitely go back!

Room was fair. Hot water was minimal. Housekeeping never completely restocked the room. Always had to chase something. Meals and the beach were across the street. Breakfast was the best meal. Others were a variation of pasta, chicken, and pork. Beach was good and had a nice view. One bar at the beach that didn’t open until at least noon. The pool bar was the only bar that was mainly used with one bartender so lines were usually long. The lobby bar opened at 4pm and was a good gathering spot. The gym was archaic. I believe their description mentioned an arcade with a pool table. That did not exist. We won’t be back.
