The staff I dealt with were all very nice but this is not a great hotel. Felt like there were a good deal of permanent tenants and had some concerns about safety and definitely noise. Also, though there is a kitchen in the room it was equipped with nothing. When I checked in the staff member asked if I would like anything for my kitchen as it came empty. I said yes and he gave me a plastic bin with the bare necessities. It is hard to find affordable hotels in the cincy/covington area so that is why I chose it but I would not stay there again. The free breakfast was pretty much nothing. A few packaged muffins and some coffee- no milk, nothing fresh at all. Ended up going out to breakfast as there was nothing there to eat. Almost would have been better with nothing.

Room was not clean at all. Dust on top of all furniture, TV control. Anddog hair on some towels. I din't said nothing cause I was tired I had to sleep. But it is something to pay attention too because now on these days they need to clean and desinfecting due to covid 19.

Stayed one night for Oktoberfest at Mainstrasse Village.... walking distance to everything bars fast food and the festival.. awesome stay

Not a bad place to stay. No hair dryer in the room, continental breakfast was lacking

No ice machines; no bathroom in lobby; no writing pens in room; hard bed. For the price, other hotels in the area are much nicer and similar price.

Booked two rooms for the weekend. Electrical outlet problems in one room but hotel was booked so couldn't move rooms and they couldn't fix until after the weekend (No maintenance over weekend even with hotel full?). Noise was terrible ALL NIGHT! We realize Newport is a party area and we were there during two Reds games and could have even excused the jake brakes from nearby bridge but partying, fighting, talking and running in halls and on floor above kept us up all night both nights. BOTH rooms experienced this. Even had door banged on at 2:30am by individuals looking for another room. At checkout the front desk said we should have called security that they have 24/7 however we just were trying to sleep! Love the area but our visit would have been so much better if we had been able to sleep. Now need a vacation to recover from this totally exhausting vacation!

There was pubic hair on the beds, even after we changed from one room to another. The cleaning staff eventually had to replace the bedding in front of us. The check in staff was stern cold and not helpful.

We had a nice stay at this location. It was close to downtown, but far enough away to not be so crowded. We had dinner across the street at Riverfront Pizza and it was excellet. We'd stay here again if the price was right. Thanks!

If you're planning on visiting the Cincinnati Horseshoe Casino, there aren't many convenient choices to choose from. There are the major hotels in downtown Cincinnati, but you either have to drive or take a shuttle to get to the casino. Generally, you have to pay a parking fee and wait for valet if you drive, and the shuttle is not that convenient - especially if you keep late hours. The alternative is to stay in Covington, KY just across the river. I've stayed at a few places, and the best value is Extended Stay America. It is easy to get in and out of, easy to get on I-71 (both North & South), and it is right next to a host of fast food restaurants and gas stations (although some may consider this a negative - to me, it's a positive). But, you have to know what you are getting. It's not a full service hotel. No linen service (except if you want to pay), and if you want amenities such as coffee, extra soap, etc. you have to ask. It's all free, but you have to ask. It's the way they can keep the costs down. I found the staff very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and adequate. The bathroom was a little cramped, but it had a full kitchenette, a work desk with adequate power plugs, and cable TV. The bed was comfortable and the pillows had substance. So, don't expect mints on your pillow every night, but if you are visiting the Horseshoe - or anywhere near downtown Cincinnati - and want a basic room at a great price with convenient access, this is the place to stay.

A group of 5 runners stayed at the hotel for the flying pig marathon and was a great location. South of the city but you miss all the traffic and chaos on race day. Shuttle came by in the morning and picked up the runners to take them to the start line, walked back after the race. Perfect location for this event!

it was pretty good. the food is good and the location is great. I am overall pretty happy with everything and would stay here again
