I stayed at the Day's Hotel for 3 nights whilst working in Coventry and it was very pleasant. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, my room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant/bar was ideal, good food whether you choose the Indian or English menu. Would stay again.

We stayed at the Days Hotel overnight when attending a concert at the Ricoh Stadium. Fortunately the room rate which included a limited continental breakfast was reasonable. The reception area was smart and the receptionists polite and helpful, although a little difficult to understand as English wasn't a first language. Corridors tatty with non-working lights on the stairs and ripped carpets. Room basic and in desperate need of refurbishment but clean. No main overhead light and no light for Desk/dressing table which also had a tv screwed down on it over the leg area, so it was not possible to sit down at it. Mirror over the dressing table too low to use whilst standing, so it was necessary to kneel on the floor to use it for hair styling (hairdryer in the top drawer and couldn't be moved). External window dirty and difficult to open and close due to safety catches which could have easily taken off a finger!! Only 1 set of towels in a room for 2 people - a phone call to reception to ask for a second set and we were told to go and collect them ourselves! Very late return to the hotel after the concert and food no longer available in the restaurant - no vending machine for snacks/soft drinks, so we went to bed hungry. Continental style breakfast of fruit juice (from a machine), tea and coffee, fresh fruit cocktail, plain yogurt, cereal, toast and croissants or pain au chocolate. No meats or fresh rolls, and only Red Leicester cheese. Staff helpful and restaurant clean. Would I stay again or recommend this hotel? Probably not.

This hotel is fantastically priced at £54 for a double for one night. It's clean and comfortable and wouldn't expect anymore for what we paid. All the staff are friendly and it has a good central location.

Stayed here with my mother for two nights....rooms are basic but clean...and also cheap to stay....but the highlight of the hotel is the fabulous resturant which food was amazing......we ate here the two nights and may I say I had the curry the first night best I've ever night I had fish....amazing....the staff who were so attentive and so friendly.....I was so impressed with the way we were welcomed.....great atmosphere in the resturant.....also the same staff served breakfast which was also was lovely knowing when out all day that you could relax in hotel then at night with good food...oh and the prices was excellent...defo recommend this hotel.....:)

I stayed here for one night. The room cost £54 including continental breakfast. The hotel was situated close to Coventry City Centre. There was adequate parking, free wifi at the hotel and the staff were friendly. The room was average. I wanted to extend my checkout time for an additional hour and I was told it would cost an additional £10. I was shocked by this as I have never been asked to pay an additional charge for checking out. I will not be staying at a Days Inn hotel as a consequence.

I stayed just for a weekend. The staff was very nice and helpful but I expected more from the Hotel. Walls and cellar with stains due to humidity, toilet did not flush properly,... I could have expected this from a hostel.

I booked the Days Hotel because my usual place in Coventry was full, and I was a bit concerned by some of the reviews. In fact, for the price, this is a good hotel. The staff are knowledgable and very friendly. The bedrooms are a little tired but perfectly comfortable and there is wifi in all rooms. The ground floor has been recently refurbished. The hotel restaurant, unusually, serves Indian food (with a selection of European food as well) and does it very well. There are free poppadoms and chutney to start, then I had a delicious salmon and king prawn curry with naan. The complementary breakfast was generous - toast, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, juice and coffee - and it cost very little to add a British or Indian cooked breakfast. Well done to the Days Hotel!

Good location but that is the only thing good about this hotel. Had room 224 on the second floor and whilst finding it I noticed the hallway carpet, it was filthy. Room 224 is very small just enough room to get around the double bed. The walls were stained as well as the skirting boards with what looked like tea or coffee. The TVs remote control was missing the back therefore the batteries kept falling out. The bedside lamp did not work so I assume the bulb had blown. The bathroom did not impress either as there was a stain on the side of the bath, hot tap cap missing, also cap missing of shower, bath panel not secured correctly, only one light bulb working, squeaky door so could not close it during the night due to waking each other up. Bottom draw on unit in bedroom not shutting correctly. It was a warm stuffy night and as the room had no air-conditioning had to have the window open however noises from below kept us awake. All in all a very bad experience I would suggest the managers check the housekeeping once in a while.

4 of us Stayed here for 2 months during weekdays last year whilst working in earlsdon ,great hotel, bar and food was amazing (Indian cuisine) rooms were always clean and tidy,we were always looked after by the staff! Would definitely recommend staying here although I was very surprised to see any poor reviews on this hotel! Tried to stay here again back in November 2016 but unfortunately was fully booked! Jane who worked on the bar was always helpful and went out of her way to cater for everyone!

The hotel looks a bit run down from the exterior and there was a weird smell in room 2. The room itself was fine apart from this. We arrived late and the lady at the desk and the restaurant staff were very helpful. The Indian/ British food restaurant was decent with very reasonable prices.
