Well its the only game in town....no other accommodations in Mesa Verde....pictures of property looked great....but it is tired and old abd needs some refurbishment ....dinner was fair service was good. Breakfast was not good at all.

Mesa Verde is one of the most magical places in the world! The lodge was comfortable and we even had a beautiful view from the room.

Air conditioner is as loud as a tractor. Very slow and small hot water, can barely take a shower. Staff was helpful to provide a portable heater and another room at mid night for shower.

I had mostly favorable impressions. The location was excellent for the Mesa Verde sights. Our room had a delightful balcony. The room itself was clean and adequate. My only criticism would be the room could have been just a bit larger so as to accommodate a bigger desk and sitting area. But the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was adequate, though not large. Perhaps the best thing about this property was the restaurant. For a national park inn, one expects just OK food. Here the food was excellent, as was the bar, bar tenders and waiters.

Great stay! The rooms don’t have tv’s but we’re not there for watching tv, we’re there to visit Mesa Verde. Beautiful location.

Room 230 phone didn’t work. Soap dispenser in shower empty. Overall understaffed. Restaurant and cafe service extremely slow even to get water. Very frustrating. When we checked in there was s line with one clerk. She took an extremely long tome to explain every detail of the lodge while a line formed. She could have said sorry for the wait but did not. We did not require a lengthy intro. People have to travel very far to get to the lodge and therefore would like to check in in a reasonable amount of time.

As the only lodgings option in Mesa Verde National Park, one must expect limitations. However, despite the somewhat drab exterior, the room was very comfortable and my dinner at the Metate Restaurant was quite good.

The best thing about this hotel is its location in the park, avoiding the 40 mins drive from the entrance (in and out). Otherwise it is just an adequate hotel - when on sale it is worth it - not sure if it is worth over $200 at full price though.

The drive and the view on the way to the lodge is amazing. We enjoyed an incredible picturesque sunset before going to sleep. That's when the fun ended. A mouse ran wild in our room all night long. We barely got any sleep. The manager could not refund our stay because we booked through Orbitz. We were, however, given vouchers for free breakfast at the Far View Terrace just up the road from the lodge. The food there was terrible. I do recommend visiting Mesa Verde, but I don't recommend staying at this lodge.

While the Far View Lodge might cost a bit more than a hotel in nearby Cortez, it's absolutely worth it to stay in Mesa Verde. The room was mostly clean but had ample amenities such as a small fridge and coffee making supplies and body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. The towels are thick and fluffy and all rooms have balconies with views. The restaurants in Mesa Verde are OK - reasonably priced with adequate food so be prepared for that. We did not try the fancy, reservations-only Metate so I can't comment on that.

This is the only hotel inside Mesa Verde. Long drive a many steep grades and sharp curves from entrance to sights. Worth the money to stay at Fairview Lodge., rather driving in and out of park each day.

Well named and very remote located in the National Park. The lodge serves fine dining in an elegant setting.

See above. Stay was very professional. The rooms were great and view was amazing.

Service was excellent...hotel was typical National Park Lodge... good basic room with no frills but you're there for what's in Mesa Verde Narional Park.

The facilities need updating and there were items which need attention. The internet service is lacking, but being off the grid, that is understandable. The food was average, to say the least. Service is slow due to under staffing. Location needs better management. Rooms needed creature comforts (i.e. microwave and chair), small for two double beds where the bedroom closet was very difficult to use due to the location. This is a gem which needs updating and better management with a little imagination. Bar serves cold food, but beer and drinks are good. Local (Mancos) brewery assists with quality.

As with all of our National Parks Mess Verde was magical.
