Our Easter weekend at Flip Flops and Pop Tops in Port Aransas was a mix of highs and lows. Finding the condo was a nightmare. It’s in the Beachside complex, but this wasn’t mentioned in our booking. Clearer directions would’ve helped. Parking was another issue. The designated spots were tiny, and with Easter crowds, the lot was packed with cars and golf carts, making it tough to park. The condo itself was a highlight. The two-story unit has a spacious living and dining area, decorated with a charming beach theme that fit Port Aransas perfectly. The master bedroom and bath were comfy, with a balcony for fresh air, though the view was just a neighbor’s fence. The kitchen was modern but missed basics like salt, pepper, and advertised coffee. Downstairs, two bedrooms—one with bunkbeds, one with a queen—worked well for our group of four adults and a baby. The listing says it sleeps 10, but that seems unlikely given the bed setup. Location was great, close to town and the beach access road. The pool was nice but small and crowded, typical for a holiday weekend. Cleanliness was ok, we found candy wrappers in a bunkbed and dirty sheets on the fold-out couch. The downstairs patio had dog poop from prior guests, which wasn’t cleaned. Noisy neighbors staying up late made it hard for our baby to sleep. Overall, it’s a nice condo with great potential, but better communication and thorough cleaning would make it better.
