Loved the wine hour between 5 and 6 and loved the rooftop deck.

the location of this property is great. you can walk to a lot of the sites to see in Copenhagen. this was our 3rd time to stay there and it was great

THe hotel was close to everywhere you'd want to be. Most everything was walkable. It was a block from Tivoli and two blocks away from the Copenhagen Central Train Station.

Front desk staff was rude and not helpful. Would not book this hotel again.

The hotel is in a great part of the city. It’s very easy to walk too many places of interest. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean but very small. It also didn’t have air conditioning, so it was quite warm in the room.

Would not recommend for summer. Very loud (Tivoli Gardens screams and noise), City clock chiming until midnight, and hot room, without adequate ventilation. The only way to stop the noise is to close windows, then room is very hot. Excellent breakfast and location.

Excellent location near downtown and a short walk to the train station. You can hear the sounds of Tivoli in the background. We loved the breakfast in the morning, wine hour and enjoying the views from the rooftop bar. The room was small, but served our needs. If we come back to Copenhagen I would definitely visit again!

Our room was small and our Friends’ Room was also very small — however, the location next to train station and Tivoli was perfect for us (literally a 2 minute walk allowing my little boy and I to easily swing by Tivoli after dinner and stay until closing) and we also loved great service at front desk and the overall very hip danish modern vibe. No air conditioning so during day it is hard to nap (our friend who needs daily nap found that difficult), but evenings are always cool (opening windows for 10 minutes and you are good) so for us that was no problem. If you love the comforts of the four seasons and need a large room this may not be the hotel for you, but if you like hip boutique hotels with a great location you will be happy here.

First of all, I was able to get a fantastic deal on this room during an Orbitz sale (with coupon code) before the summer vacation season (about $175 per night for a deluxe/superior double)...so keep that in mind as you read this review. We thought that our hotel stay and room was a great value considering what we paid and what was included (wonderful breakfast buffet, which included champagne). Hotel Danmark is very close to Central Station, which makes it easy when traveling with luggage. Since we paid for the second largest room (only the junior suite is larger for two guests), we were perfectly fine with our room size and comfort. After looking at the hotel floor plan (posted on the emergency exit map in our room), I realized that smaller rooms are truly tiny in size. We had a dresser for our clothes, a couch, bathroom with tub, and plenty of room to store our two suitcases and backpacks. If you don't mind not having AC during the summer months and want to be close to the action (but not in the middle of it), then this is this the place for you. Also, the free wine between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm is a great perk!

Nice and clean room but the bathroom is a bit small, wish the door is open all the way instead caught on the side of the toilet. Hotel staffs are really friendly and helpful. Free buffet style breakfast and wine happy hour from 5pm-6pm. Live jazz music playing with a fee in the jazz room. Nice outdoor sitting area. Few minutes walk to the famous shopping street. Don't like the stairs which I have to drags my luggage up and down though. It's really a painful experience.

The room I was given was not in the main building accessed by the elevator. My room required me to walk down stairs into a courtyard, then unlock a door to another building, then walk up a steep flight of stairs. The room had no a/c and the tv didn't work. I called the front desk to report the tv, but nothing was done about it. The shower and toilet share the same space. There was no mini refigerator. I booked the room on either Expedia.com or hotels.com, I don't recall which. There were very few choices, the price of this room was ~$600 (U.S) for one night. My flight arrived at night, the taxi dropped me off at the same address, yet a very slight variation of the street name, although there was no Hotel Denmark there, nor any other hotel, so he took off quickly before I realized this. So I walked with my luggage, then had to lug them up and down stairs, to an un-air conditioner room.

Had a terrific stay here in CPH. The hotel staff were not only cheerful and accommodating, but helped me arrange an appointment at the local hospital when an unexpected medical issue occurred. The hotel offers several opportunities through the day for socializing in the beautifully designed and appointed property (complimentary coffee & pastries in lobby to start your day, cocktail hour at 5pm, DJ on the rooftop lounge, perfect view of Tivoli fireworks at midnight). They also have huge selection of bikes for rent or can obtain one from their sister hotels across the city. Beautiful breakfast and lunch garden as well. My only complaint would be the size of the twin beds (felt like an army cot, not much wider than my body and I'm fairly trim). Bathroom also impossibly small--sink for washing up is unfortunately outside of WC, next to the bed.

It was a 3* hotel in city center. The suite was very spacious and quite. Beds were OK. Breakfast was included and I asked them to give us some sandwiches because we had to leave 5am the next day. They said that their chef went home after serving breatfast. So it was not a 4* hotel. The reception desk used a notebook for booking and they did not give me a receipt with an excuse of printer failure. I saw another guest leaving without a printed receipt the next morning. They promised to send me the receipt by email. But I did not receive one after 45 days and I may never get one. It is important for me because I brought them cash later and asked them to refund the same amount into my credit card account. I see the original full charge but no refund in my credit card statement.

Hotel location was very good, close to restaurants and Tivoli Gardens. Room was tiny!
