Stayed here for the ARMY Turning Blue Ceremony at Sand Hill and Graduation Ceremony at the National Infantry Museum. It's a great location approximately 20 minutes outside Fort Benning. The hotel is easy to get to, approximately 1 1/2 hour drive from Atlanta airport. Facility is very clean, modern and nicely appointed. Suite rooms are spacious and comfortable...a good base for visiting military families. Basic continental breakfast is included. Weeknights Monday through Wednesday there is a dinner buffet with simple, quick meals includedin your room rate. Rates are very reasonable. Out door pool has a nice deck with seating areas, firepit, two large grills. There is no indoor pool or whirlpool. Beds are firm and comfortable, towels are soft and thick. Suite kitchen is stocked with basic dishes, pots/pans and utensils. Microwave, sink, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and two burner hot plate. Staff is friendly, courteous, very helpful. Great central location to Target, WalMart, grocery stores and all major chain restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel for all families visiting their soldiers at Fort Benning or any other travelers.
5 of u s went we rented 2 suites perfect!! They put us next door convienant!!!Bed very comfortable!!Staff very friendly!!Very accomadating for cooking needs. We stayed over Thanksgiving so used grill for steaks!!
Stayed here for almost a month and the hotel was fine. The room was good sized and you get breakfast everyday and a dinner most nights of the week. The staff were very friendly and helped us out a ton. The hotel is showing some signs of wear so could use an upgrade and the workout room could use some new equipment. Our room had a few issues (no AC, etc) and the staff helped us when they could and when they couldn't, they moved us to another room. That being said, for the price you do get meals, a friendly and helpful staff and a good sized room with full kitchen (if a little dated).
We came to Columbus for Family Weekend to visit my son who was in Basic at Fort Benning. He had a long list of home-cooked meals that he requested, so we wanted to stay somewhere with a kitchen. Staybridge fit the bill! Each room has a kitchen with a 2-burner stove, a full-size refrigerator w ice maker, microwave, sink, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. (Note there is no oven.) We brought our own pots, since we knew we'd be cooking larger amounts than their pots could accommodate, but we used their pots for side dishes. The 2 gas grills outside were very nice also. The rooms were laid out well and had comfortable furniture, especially the bed, although I'd like to see some firmer pillows available. The large flat screen TVs were very nice, too. The only thing I'd like to see added would be more seating. The last Staybridge I stayed in had barstools at the counter, which was awesome, although having a couple of dining chairs would suffice. The staff was very nice, especially the man who checked me in, but all of the staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that when we got into our room, one trashcan had not been emptied, and the bathroom floor had not been swept well. As it was pretty late at that time, we just made do. Also, please note that if you are planning to use the sofa bed, get your bed linens when you check in, so that you don't have to trek back to the desk or call and wait for them to be delivered. I also love that the guest laundry is free! And there is a laundry basket in every room. I used the laundry facilities every day and loved the Speed Queen washers and dryers. Very nice touch! Overall, I highly recommend this Staybridge Suites. It hit everything on our checklist, and it was in a great area of town: safe, pretty, tons of shops and restaurants close by, and was an easy 15 minute drive to base. We will be back!
First, the hotel and room were nice (studio suite with dish washer, kitchen-stove-fridge-etc.). Price was good, with breakfast everyday, and an evening meal Mon-Tue-Wed. But, I had a few issues: The closet shelf was hung in a way that once I hung up my clothes, I was unable to close the doors. The shelf stuck out too far; the sheer curtains were filthy; House Keeping would leave trash, not leave toilet paper, or dish detergent-I would have to go to front desk to get things after work. The one time I took a dinner plate to my room, instead of eating i dining room, I found frozen meatballs.
This hotel is really filthy. The rooms smell. The pull out couch had stains, as did the carpet. The hallways and common areas are gross. This place is in need of a serious cleaning and updating, The only nice thing I can say is that the staff is soooo polite.
Stayed here with family for a military graduation. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the whole facility. The staff seemed very nice. The room was spacious and updated. Kitchen had fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher and sink. Living room area had computer desk and chair, couch with pull out bed, loveseat and flat screen tv. Bedrooms had two full beds. Bathroom shower had great water pressure. Bathroom sink was separate from bathroom which was nice for the family. The room was quiet and area seemed safe. The outside pool was clean and water temp was perfect. Morning breakfast was good and fresh with a nice seating area with a tv. Great stay! Would stay again anytime!
This hotel was ok. A/C would not cool below 75 despite having it on all 3 days we were there. Carpet in hallways falling apart. I thought the prices were a little high despite the condition of the hotel. Room was clean but dated. Complimentary breakfast was a plus.
In Columbus GA for grandsons graduation. This weekend was also Memorial day, military 🎓 and just a busy weekend in all. First the Good they offer daily complimentary breakfast and socials Monday, Tuesday's and Wednesdays if you are short on your own transportation no need for Uber much to do and eat in walking distance. The staff is relatively pleasant despite the not so good working conditions such as having to send the elevator to the 4th floor on a regular basis because the ENTIRE floor is under RENOVATIONS! My goodness how do they service their handicap accessible when you have someone that has to either wait for the elevator to be pushed up to the 4th floor or walk down to the third floor and catch the elevator the remainder of the way wow I don't know 52 steps up and down to the fourth floor if you're going to do Renovations you should do half the floor and not rent out the entire floor no bueno no bueno!!!!😞😞😞😞 There's many L working equipment such as lights plugs clocks the amenities will the sodas are a dollar for a can and a dollar for the laundry detergent they do provide pretty good amenities small small gym a computer room of laundry on-site this is good for the workers that come in town that are there for. It could be a great family-orientated place to stay but they need to come up on their amenities and not rent out the renovated rooms..? The other unfortunate thing is that it takes 10 to 20 minutes for the hot water heat up in the bathroom there's a toilet but no seat cover that's not too efficient if you're dressing in the in the bathroom well all in all the stay was not that bad the only thing is a staying in a suite they only come to clean your room at request it's not a daily thing so I kept them hopping sheets pillowcases have to have a tidy room perhaps with the renovations it would get better some of the old stuff like the couches are worn and dated but if they gave it some work it could be really nice place to stay has a great location it's nearby to everything I would recommend it but I'd be cautious before you go make reservations answer they renovating anything are the elevators working perhaps they should look at the handicap accessible but I love Columbus and it just happened to be convenient although there are many other hotels in the area, don't get me wrong, but for what they offer, the complimentary breakfast and dinner social with Free beer and wine I guess you can't beat it it wasn't a horrible stay but I would say before you make a reservation check it out well I'm off again who knows Florida next time for anybody to does stay there have a good stay ciao
Being forced to vacate our home due to house flooding and mold and mildew setting in which i am highly allergic to our insurance company put my family at the StayBridge Suites. We could not have asked for better acommadations for a full service hotel even with other hotels in Columbus area. The hotel was imaculate, rooms so roomy and the amenites where amazing. The breakfast and socials were the highlights of our stay. Customer service was the best I have in a very long time. Sherry, Elizabeth, Lora, Lilly, Hannah, the night auditor, Charlie McFee the GM just to name a few but the whole entire staff made our day on a daily basis and I want them to know how special they were and their bonding as if we were all family.
