Red Roof PLUS+ Columbus Downtown - Convention Center

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Wanted to stay in the downtown Columbus area for a night but all other hotels were booked. Ended up being able to book a Superior King a couple days before going down. Many other reviews had me a little worried but don't worry, there is nothing to worry about here! The room was the least expensive of all the others in the Downtown area but was right in the mix of all of the action. It was only a 12 minute safe walk to all of the Park Street bars. The parking was very close, cheap, and convenient for being located Downtown. We had a 1st floor room by the lobby and it was still very quiet even though the hotel was full. I have only stayed at a Red Roof Inn before and not a Red Roof+ The plus did not disappoint as the rooms were nicely renovated with a big flatscreen TV, glass shower, modern decor, and a very comfortable bed and pillows. The little continental breakfast was enough to get your day started right. Don't pay more at other places as this is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Downtown Columbus!

No complaints. Staff was friendly. Everything, room, breakfast area were very clean. Thick walls so it was pretty quiet. Bar/restaurant next door but make a reservation. Plenty other options near by. Short walk to the arena district.

Loved the location downtown, within walking distance to the convention center, arena, ball park and many great restaurants. Staff was friendly, polite and accommodating, parking was very convenient. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, the pillows were a little hard for our taste but overall would definitely stay there again

Courteous and helpful staff, reasonable walking distance to downtown.

This hotel is a good place to stay if you're attending an event at the Nationwide Arena. Its within walking distance. The only thing I didn't like was the parking is across the street and it was kind of hard getting into. Other than that everything was fine.

The staff was great. The room was very clean and perfect for what we needed. One annoyance was they were painting and the entire hotel smelled like paint. Also for the room we got and having to pay for parking, it was way overpriced. Would consider staying again if weren't for price.

the stay was great front desk extremely friendly. House keeping nice but pushy wanting people out of room early so they can clean them and go home. Room very clean though.

Breakfast needs some work. A bare bones continental breakfast is not what travelers are looking for.

Hotel was very nice, clean and a convenient stay for a DT concert we attended. Only complaint was the parking. I knew that staying DT we would have to pay, but here it was a little inconvenient. The staff was very nice, but they forgot to give me the key card to get into the parking that was across the street. My poor hubby went to take the car and had caused a bit of a backup because he didn't have the key card (to access parking). We got the key card, but decided to park later at night after our event ( so we only pay one time) Got to the parking and it was completely full. All other parking (tons available btw) was for montly, etc. We called the hotel and they said they would let us park on-site. Not a big deal, but if the parking for hotel guests is full, then there should be some way of letting guests know. Other than that, truly, a very nice hotel. Thanks!

Very clean...nice room. Fast elevators. Good value for being so close to the Convention Center. WiFi was good. Nice free breakfast bar for something light to eat. I asked for a quiet room so I got one at the end of the hall....however unfortunately had loud neighbors in the room next door. I think there was a pack of elephants in there....and there was a lot of noise from the street at night since the fire dept building is very close by...but no fault of the hotel. Still overall a good stay and I would stay there again.

The hotel was fabulous and I would recommend to anyone visiting Columbus OH. The hotel was in a perfect spot for walking anywhere to eat, shop and work. The staff was absolutely fantastic!

I recently relocated.to Columbus amd have been living in hotels while the rest of my life gets situated. For a while I was going day to day, choosing whatever the cheapest unpublished rate I could find. One day, luckily, I was assigned to thia Red Roof. A week later, still on a hotel but happy that I'm here. The location is close to everything. The staff is bwyond courteous and friendly. The rooms.. are you kidding?! The basic rooms are three times the size of the rooms at the Westin. If you want to be happy, sleep well and save some cash, stay here.

I enjoyed this hotel a lot. Staff was friendly. Good location. Clean rooms. I would recommend this to a friend.

Hotel Staff were very good and overall experience was great

Satisfied overall considering the price. Nice location, room was clean, and staff was friendly. Bed was uncomfortable, blankets where cheap and thin, and heater was noisy. Still satisfied considering its downtown and in a nice location for a reasonable price.

the hotel was very nice and the room was excellent. quiet and clean. great location and price. We were there for NHL all star weekend and the staff was very nice and friendly.

We stayed at the hotel to sleep on our roadtrip. It was clean, in a good location, and worth the price

Was looking for a hotel near Columbus convention center, that was in walking distance and in our budget. , this hotel was perfect .

This a decent and affordable option in Downtown Columbus. It is more of a standard hotel than the normal Red Roof. Location is great...close to Convention Center, Nationwide Arena and High St...but easy access to highways. Front staff was helpful and friendly. I parked overnight on the street and found a spot directly in front of the hotel, instead of paying for the lot. No problems as long as you move your car by 8 AM. I liked the hardwood floors in the room. Room was spacious but a bit cold and dark. Bathroom was decent. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Worst part of the stay was WiFi. It was free but I had absolutely no service during my entire stay. I think my room was 217. That was a bummer.

The staff was very friendly, there for an overnighter, accommodation was perfect for what we were looking for in that area.
