Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Columbus Downtown - Convention Center

Recent guest reviews

Nice hotel with close proximity to downtown and the Short North. Convenient and easy access to freeways and the airport. Centrally located for Columbus. Walking distance to several attractions and restaurants too. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

1. "100% smoke-free hotel" reeked of smoke, especially in elevators and lobby. Room was fine. 2. "All new rooms"... apparently they kept the old beds! They were awful and just felt worn out... too soft, uneven and sagging in places, no support. I slept horribly and my back was killing me by morning. 3. The continental breakfast selections and quality were awful, as was the coffee. But the people were nice!I'm

It was okay, it was clean and bed was comfortable enough. If I had a complaint it would be that the walls are so thin and that takes away from privacy plus I was able to hear not only my neighbors "whole" conversation while he was on the phone but his television in the wee hours of the mourning (230am) not good;-( The other thing is, no onsite parking and having to pay an additional $10.00 for it. I would recommend if staying a night but no longer than that but if you are a light sleeper go elsewhere.

Room was nice. The bathroom was the only problem with the room. It smelled moldy, there were long hairs on the wall in the shower, and caulking missing around tub. There’s a $10 fee for parking but no spots so have to park in another lot for $20 a night. But they did take the $10 off. Staff was great. The cleanliness of bathroom and parking were only issues.

Inexpensive room in the Arena District of downtown Columbus. Their breakfast starts a little late at 7am. Kind of a basic place to stay.

Watch out or they will throw a charge on your bill and not tell you

They should give you instructions how to get out of parking lot, i spend 15 minutes to figure it out than gave up. After explanations it was not a problem.

This is a very reasonably priced hotel in an excellent location. The staff was always asking me if I needed anything. Everyone seemed to care that I was comfortable. Not used to that "old school" treatment. Really refreshing.

It stinks, there were roaches, I have a moldy shower and had to shower in my socks, gross carpets - was absolutely disgusting. Orbitz needs to TAKE THIS OFF OF THE SITE - SHOULDN'T EVEN BE AVAILABLE TO RENT ON THE SITE.

Wanted to stay in the downtown Columbus area for a night but all other hotels were booked. Ended up being able to book a Superior King a couple days before going down. Many other reviews had me a little worried but don't worry, there is nothing to worry about here! The room was the least expensive of all the others in the Downtown area but was right in the mix of all of the action. It was only a 12 minute safe walk to all of the Park Street bars. The parking was very close, cheap, and convenient for being located Downtown. We had a 1st floor room by the lobby and it was still very quiet even though the hotel was full. I have only stayed at a Red Roof Inn before and not a Red Roof+ The plus did not disappoint as the rooms were nicely renovated with a big flatscreen TV, glass shower, modern decor, and a very comfortable bed and pillows. The little continental breakfast was enough to get your day started right. Don't pay more at other places as this is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Downtown Columbus!

No complaints. Staff was friendly. Everything, room, breakfast area were very clean. Thick walls so it was pretty quiet. Bar/restaurant next door but make a reservation. Plenty other options near by. Short walk to the arena district.

Loved the location downtown, within walking distance to the convention center, arena, ball park and many great restaurants. Staff was friendly, polite and accommodating, parking was very convenient. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, the pillows were a little hard for our taste but overall would definitely stay there again

Courteous and helpful staff, reasonable walking distance to downtown.

This hotel is a good place to stay if you're attending an event at the Nationwide Arena. Its within walking distance. The only thing I didn't like was the parking is across the street and it was kind of hard getting into. Other than that everything was fine.

The staff was great. The room was very clean and perfect for what we needed. One annoyance was they were painting and the entire hotel smelled like paint. Also for the room we got and having to pay for parking, it was way overpriced. Would consider staying again if weren't for price.

the stay was great front desk extremely friendly. House keeping nice but pushy wanting people out of room early so they can clean them and go home. Room very clean though.

Breakfast needs some work. A bare bones continental breakfast is not what travelers are looking for.

Hotel was very nice, clean and a convenient stay for a DT concert we attended. Only complaint was the parking. I knew that staying DT we would have to pay, but here it was a little inconvenient. The staff was very nice, but they forgot to give me the key card to get into the parking that was across the street. My poor hubby went to take the car and had caused a bit of a backup because he didn't have the key card (to access parking). We got the key card, but decided to park later at night after our event ( so we only pay one time) Got to the parking and it was completely full. All other parking (tons available btw) was for montly, etc. We called the hotel and they said they would let us park on-site. Not a big deal, but if the parking for hotel guests is full, then there should be some way of letting guests know. Other than that, truly, a very nice hotel. Thanks!

Very clean...nice room. Fast elevators. Good value for being so close to the Convention Center. WiFi was good. Nice free breakfast bar for something light to eat. I asked for a quiet room so I got one at the end of the hall....however unfortunately had loud neighbors in the room next door. I think there was a pack of elephants in there....and there was a lot of noise from the street at night since the fire dept building is very close by...but no fault of the hotel. Still overall a good stay and I would stay there again.

The hotel was fabulous and I would recommend to anyone visiting Columbus OH. The hotel was in a perfect spot for walking anywhere to eat, shop and work. The staff was absolutely fantastic!
